LAYTON BROTHERS MYSTERY ROOM

The puzzles are great and the storylines are very interesting. The arts are good too. The musics are perfect and fitting for each scenes. The game's mechanics are good and not like the "typical" puzzle (find the differences, etc). It's worth it, if you want to purchase the other cases. And no ads! I also love that each characters have their own unique dialogue and personality. So not every characters use formal words. Which is refreshing. Overall, very recommended.

Not what I expected. Compared to the original NDS games this one has no charm in its art, and its kinda low end for a phone. But the biggest drawback is that is some sort of detective work scene instead of simple small puzzles that made up the original games in the first place. Can't recommend this games to Layton fans but people might find it interesting anyway, but for what it is based on the experience in my opinion is not good.

THANK GOD! I found this app! After finishing this game, I now conclude that this is my favorite mystery game ever! I love the graphics, and art style! The choices that doesn't need money to choose, hints that you don't need to buy, and if you pick the wrong choice? worry less as it let's you pick and pick until you choose the right one. Just finished playing and I can definitely say that if you're a big fan of logic puzzles, you should definitely give this game a try! It has everything you want for a crime-solving game; good music, beautiful and stylistic illustrations, challenging cases and a good storyline. My only complaints are that the translation is a bit off (mostly just grammatical errors like "She were") but that does not affect the clarity of the texts at all (just a bit annoying)

Absolutely adore this game, but the latest update has compressed just the character portraits, which ruins the whole aesthetic for me. Version 1.0.6 on my slow S7 looks better than this, which is just disappointing. Game is still good, the music is great, delivering whatever mood needed with ease. Can feel a bit annoying to pay for more cases but they are definitely worth it, as the paid cases are less formulaic and predictable, and play into a bigger and legitimately interesting story.

I loved the cases. They are unpredictable and exciting to uncover. The character design is just beautifully unique, the atmosphere is authentic and the game play mechanics are entertaining. Two things might need improvement: Firstly, a quick save that gets you to the spot you left off would be better than having to replay whole dialog sections after opening and closing the game. Secondly, there is a grammar fix needed. All characters used 'were' instead of 'was' throughout the whole game.

I have n ever played a more compelling mystery game. Never. The story for each case is quite compelling, but even beyond that, the gameplay is top notch. Between searching for the clues yourself, actually conversing with the characters and coming up with the logic, and even how they manage to make dialogue so much more interesting than just a wall of text, this is amazing work. Definitely a must for anyone to try. I would love to see something harder based on this, though.

I love this game so much!! I just finished all of the cases and it was an amazing experience. The characters were beautifully designed and drawn in a unique style which I adore a lot! The story keeps you on your toes too! Although some case are challenging, I had so much fun solving it. I totally recommend this game and buying the expansion files. I guarantee you it won't disappoint definitely worth a try!!

Story is fascinating, filled with plot twists. However, it didn't feel that intriguing compared to other games I played. If anything, the most intriguing thing is Alfendi's split personalities(and the case that caused it, so the later parts are better). Moving the camera is a huge pain though, but thats the only problem. I love the cast that we have to guess the culprit from the start. In some cases, the culprit is obvious, but some of them still caught me. The price is worth it though :)

a wonderful experience, each case takes roughly 2-3 hours each, and the first few are free giving you a taste of the game. Worth the $5 for the full game it is so much fun and super enjoyable. It's all touch based controls! and aside from a few quirks technically (main menu doesnt have audio until you switch to another app and then back) it really is an experience, A Layton game but more about actual solving over puzzles! If you enjoy deductions or solving an over arching mystery this is it.

Getting all of this game a second time now that I'm on Android again! It's a good introduction to PL-style intuition without the worry of losing picarats or being massively penalized for mistakes. Don't dismiss even the most straightforward path and when all else fails, try everything. The characters are great, as are the pun-fect name choices, and the plot's not bad either!

I realy like this game. There are no puzzles or mini-games and just straight to the point, a mystery game where you identify the culprit yourself without solving any puzzles unnecessary to the investigation. This is the type of game that I've been looking for with this genre! I finished all of the mysteries and it was really great, kept me excited! The slang words are kinda annoying to read but it's really amazing overall! I hope there are more type of games like this in the future. :)

It was a very good game when I played it last. Music was good, graphics were good, gameplay and story were great. Unfortunately it hasn't updated in a while, and on my newer phone os is refuses to start and just shuts down infinitely when I try to open it. If you can play it though, you should.

I quite like this game. I think it's entertaining and definitely gets me thinking. Though there are some things I'd love to be added: fast forward and skip buttons for the dialogue and being able to connect my account to my email and/or being able to export the data, so I don't lose my progress if I uninstall and reinstall later.

Really sorry to say it, but there is hardly any gameplay here. You're browsing through a fixed series of events. I loved the previous Layton games. The music and design is still as good. But the gameplay.. No puzzles, not even really riddles. It doesn't matter if you solve everything in the beginning of a case or push random buttons. The outcome is the same. No rewards or points or risks. Read a manga instead.

Uhh..well, I developed a problem playing this game with my new phone, OPPO F9 the prob is when I allow full-screen display, it's seemed like the display is missing some parts with black parts replaced. And the audio!! won't come out!!! The sound of the game will only play randomly I couldn't even figure out what's the matter... Hopefully the team could figure out and get rid of it Other than that, this game is amazing overall.

Not in my alley this one, way to much speech for me, got bored in all the chit chat quite quickly. If you like following a storyline that don't really give you many options in the gameplay then sure, personally I would rather read a book/novel than "play one out" in this way. I'm a fan of adventure/escape point&click but this one is more like "clicking your way through" to "read the story", not actually having to think to much. I enjoy to be challenged more than this. So my verdict: it's OK, but sadly only get 2 & 3 stars from me.

I've seen many reviews of people who've been unable to play the game or find many issues with the plot. The game works perfectly fine as of today. Another thing you must keep in mind is that as obvious as some particular levels may be, they're rated low in difficulty for a reason- not just to bore you. The game gets harder and eventually lets you follow whatever sequence you want. Dialogue fulfills the game. Money well-spent. If you didn't truly give the game a try, please don't generalise.

I absolutely love this game, but it's really annoying not being able to skip cases and/or having a backup option. I've had to factory reset my phone a few times, and have a new one, and because of the risk of instability I can't pick up this game again. I've already repeated the first case at least 4 times. I'm aware this game hasn't been updated for quite some time and it's very unlikely for such a thing to happen, but please consider it.

I was really amazed because this is the kind of mystery puzzle solving detective game that i have always wished for. It's like you are a real detective by searching details and clues to solve things. The game itself is not to hard and when you are confused and made the wrong assumptions, the game corrected you instead of instant game over. Overall, i really love it.

My friends had recommended me Layton games for a long time, but none were sold in my area. Suddenly I find this game. I fell in love with the characters straight away, the witty dialogue, fun character designs and subversions of expectations. I don't think Lucy's eventual crush on Alfendi was needed as he doesn't seem to be into it with anyone so it'll only lead to heartbreak and awkward moments in the office. The controls are rather wonky unfortunately. Please make a sequel, it needs one badly!

I. Love. This. Game. Everything about it. The gameplay, the graphics, the art style, the music, the plot, everything. I grew attached to the characters and what's more, I enjoyed the whole process of finding out the truth little by little, slowly uncovering the culprit(s) and the twists and turns. Thank you for making this game, and I would really love it if you could make a sequel, since there is still so much you can delve further. Also, I would really love it if I could find the OST, hehe.

The game's so good. Starting from the transitions, graphics, everything's so good. The stories or cases are very eye catching and interesting! People would really love to investigate those!

When I first played this game on my iPhone 5S I loved it and had no problems, but now when I download it to my new phone (Samsung S7) the audio doesn't work at all. I've deleted and re-installed the game but nothing seems to work. Would rate 5 stars if the audio wasn't an issue.

Oh, look! It's millionaire's conspiracy's older brother. This game ain't so bad. For £3.48, you get 7 cases that are longer and more complex than the 2 free cases. The reason this is 4 stars is solely due to case 8&9. For case 8, it was a missed chance to show the growth of the protag by not falling for the wrong answer. For case 9, it would have been better if the mastermind was seen more before that case and I wish the gimmick of the case was used for more than for 1 piece of useful evidence.
