LCARS UI
Gene Roddenberry's contract includes a clause allowing any company able to create functioning technology to use the name. As such, I have created a functioning LCARS UI.
Please contact me with suggestions/complaints instead of putting them in the reviews, as many complaints posted have been fixed already. In some cases even before the complaint was posted. Other times, the functionality is intentional.
I have included many layouts, and intend to do more. Currently it uses your device's sensors (so it is a working Tricorder in a sense) and detects nearby Wifi hotspots. Has a built in web browser which converts pages into LCARS format. An Alert Condition screen, an Okudagram (from the original movies) generator. You can use your Android device as a remote for a connected (via Wifi/3g) Windows PC. An auto-destruct timer (also shows the stardate) a periodic table of elements, a fully functional graphing calculator and various other animations from the show. Most screens (the non-interactive ones) can be used as a live wallpaper. It also supports Jellybean's DayDream mode, and homescreen widgets
I have added voice recognition to control most of the screens. But due to the nature of Android's VR API, it requires a second Android device to act as the microphone to work in real time like the video.

Note for those of you saying it's not a homescreen: The definition of the term UI just means something the user interacts with. It does not mean "Homescreen for android" (Seriously, look it up). I don't know how you came to the conclusion that it did mean that when I have screenshots, video, and an in-depth description. None of which mention the word homescreen. It is a UI, not a homescreen. I made another app that is just a homescreen, called the LCARS Launcher

No longer works with Android 9
AWESOME app. Nicely done. I do periodically, uninstall, then reinstall, when the app malfunctions, easy peasy. This fixes the gremlins. This LCARS app is superior to any I've purchased in past. The creator of this app should be hailed a hero. 🖖PALL🖖
This is the best trek app I've found. This team could teach google how to make great apps.
Finally got the Tricorder camera centered. Get at me 4 some ideas. I've an Galaxy 8+. Are they're any updates for the app??
Don't take it down. Can't you just rename it? I've seen way too many good Star Trek apps get removed because of haters (Google & CBS). I've had this app for years... smh :'( Do you know when you'll be taking it down?

Such a shame to see this app pulled from the Play store. It seems petty of CBS to enforce copyright on something that they would never develop. Many thanks to the hard-working dev for creating this, as it always brought a smile to my face. #LLAP 🖖
Awesome functionality! Awesome updates! Awesome graphics! You could play for a year and never use or touch every feature! Quite possibly the only Dev on the Play Store that updates his app and frequently adds new features! Keep up the awesome job! I look forward to the updates! All you ignorant people who rated this less than it's deserved 5 stars either need to upgrade your devices or create your own program. I've had this since day one absolutely NO issues. S4, Evo3D, Tab S, Note4 ***CBS, You couldn't succeed where this Dev did and you're throwing a fit because of it! PATHETIC!

Works better now. .really enjoy playing around with this and showing off to friends..renders super well on tabs!!

Out of All the LCARS UI Remakes, Coppies, and Clones available Yours is Superior! All of the connecting applications you have created link perfectly! You have created the only LCARS that is closest to the original LCARS..Created by, Michael Okuda. The beauty of your creation is the fact its in the palm of our hands and our computers working together as it should. Techni Myoko, I hope I get the honor of meeting you one day. To me, it would be like Capt. Pricard meeting Zefram Cochrane. Yes, I am a Fan of All Star Trek but, I like the Technology that comes from it. I don't have a bunch of collectables or costumes or tend conventions. I seek the true creaters who take the fantasy and make it a reality. Like Waverly Labs, Andrew Ochoa, the founder of "Pilot Bluetooth earpiece" Universal Instant Language Translator. I could go on for hours on the geniuses that have created our daily used items that were inspired by Star Trek.
I really love this app, please keep making its functionality interact with my phone. It makes owning a cell phone fun. I did have a question, how do I get the app to come out of red alert status when I've punched in a wrong sequence?
I would like to see more Star Trek TOS movie Okudagrams or even a movie Okudagram theme in a future update. I do enjoy the black blue and green colors of those.

FANTASTIC app. I enjoy playing with the sounds and sensors. I'm not Savvy enough to set up my email and internet settings without help but I'll get there. Angry Tribbles is the best thing I've seen all year. Unfortunately I'm having one small issue that keeps me from giving this app that fifth Star. I'm using this app on my Galaxy S6. Somewhere, it tells me to please change to small screen mode in the settings. I've tried every option and can't figure out where that control is. Please help.
The developer has taken great care to putting the "fit & finish" on this great Trek app. Well worth the money.
Updated: Has worked great on every Samsung device I've had this on. Developer is top notch.
