LDL Cholesterol Calculator
The Ciccarone Center for the Prevention of Heart Disease at Johns Hopkins Hospital has developed this app to provide immediate and automated calculation of LDL cholesterol by the novel method published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
Rather than dividing triglycerides by a fixed factor of 5, this method matches each person with 1 of 180 different factors, to give a more personalized LDL cholesterol level.
The inputs are the three direct measures from the standard lipid profile: total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides.
The results and recommendations provided by this application are intended to inform but do not replace clinical judgment. Therapeutic options should be individualized and determined after discussion between the patient and their care provider.

Not function
Ridiculous! It performs the basic math needed to spit out some numbers...which are useless to you unless there is some kind of meaning attached to the numbers and meaningful advice about what lifestyle changes are necessary to get better numbers. I should be able to click on a result and get a pop up box that tells me if the number is high, low or neutral and what to do about it.
