LDS Music

This app is wonderful, however there are a few unfortunate flaws. It tends to redownload all the hymns every time I need it, which often takes longer than the hymn itself lasts. I just need one page--not the entire hymnal. Also, it is jarring that the copyrighted hymns are not included; I wish it were possible for the Church to work out some sort of agreement for that. But otherwise the app is wonderful, and it's foreign language options are an incredible step up from past versions.

There's every hymn to see the words & sheet forms for which most of them play, it has youth theme music, which is great, & in both forms & most songs you have the option to hear music or music w/ words. But on Android versions, there's 2 crucial features that it lacks: the option to autoreplay the selected song & the OPTION to play the next song after the current song is done (it needs to be an option you can turn off to not continue playing.) It Needs to be just like how it is on IOS versions.

I works fairly well but I keep running into strange issues with it. Like this last one was that all the hymns wouldn't show the sheet music and had an error about not being able to download content without a network connection (I had both cell and WiFi). I seem to have fixed it by uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Looks like it didn't properly update the sheet music part correctly from one app version to another.

After installing, wait for the app to download the song books before searching. Includes the main Hymn book, Children's song book, and youth theme book from the 2018 Mutual for youth. The songs include the song notes. It support phone rotation to orient the songs portrait or landscape. My favorite feature is the pinch to zoom. The detail is very crisp, not a low resolution scan. My Galaxy S9+ with full resolution is very sharp with this app.

Love the idea of this app and I use it often instead of a hymn book, but since thr most recent update I can't make a playlist. Can't even select "Playlists" from the home page. Any time I try, the app crashes immediately. It is very frustrating because that was very useful and one of my favorite features.

I selected a hymn in the app while at church. Apparently, the hymn needed to be downloaded again. Because us non-leadership types have been excluded from church building Wi-Fi, this had to be done via mobile data and I had a weak signal. The download wasn't complete until the hymn was almost over. It's ridiculous that I need to re-download content repeatedly on the same device. The more I use Church apps, the more I prefer using the physical copy.

Works great during this Coronavirus pandemic. I like how the music plays and includes voices so it sounds like we're singing in the ward choir instead of just singing by ourselves. I wish there were an option to just see the words and not the sheet music. It would be easier to read. Otherwise I'd give it 5 stars.

Have had to uninstall and reinstall several times over the last year as the sheet music will stop working. Also has to contact support to find out that triple clicking the sheet music removes the headphones icon...which gets in the way at times. Glad to have the app, but it is lacking in usability and dependability.

It's a great app, but it's way too sensitive swiping right or left. If you just want to scroll you have to be very careful to be exactly in the middle and go exactly up or down or you'll end up accidently turning the page. It's not a deal breaker, but it's obnoxious to have to fiddle with it so much to keep it on the right page while you're trying to sing.

Downloads each song individually. Why? This app needs to be friendlier for offline use and have a consistent experience with the Gospel Library. Its unacceptable to be forced to download each song when run the first time. There should be the option to download the whole hymnal, rather than depending on connectivity.

It was wonderful coming in this morning and finding this app available! I immediately downloaded, but became frustrated when selecting search and the only means that showed up to do it was by number instead of by hymn! I selected the upper right triple dots and an option offered a search by name so I selected it but nothing changed whatsoever! it still allowed only to search hymns by number! I was able to scroll through manually but PLEASE FIX this search option problem!

This app no longer lets you search by first line in the hymn. and every topic that I choose while in the hymnal section, only gives me the children's songbook samples. Also, when I choose to search by title, it only gives me a numerical keypad. There's a lot of problems with this one.

Very good app, but after lastest update I can barely see the music text when in dark mode because the letters are too dark and black with the background also dark, when it should be white letters with black background. Please fix this cuz i really like this app, and i promise to review my rate after the fix to maintain the fairness of my rate state with how the app feels like for me.

When ever I use this app it makes me feel like there is peace in the world. I love it but there are a few bugs. like whenever I do a playlist it won't let me.And it crashes like to won't let me get back on unless I power off my phone. But I love it over all especially if I can not sleep. So I lisin to it and it calmed me down

Hymns sometimes don't load. Hopefully the developers can figure out why that is happening. UPDATE: Other users suggested uninstalling and reinstalling the app, because the fixes that fixed the problem of the music not loading was not pushed through. I reinstalled and now the hymns are showing up.

I have been using this app for quite sometime and I do love it. I just realized their is a Playlist feature and was wondering if there was a way to add multiple hymns to it at once and not have to add each one individually. If possible it would be nice to add directions on now to create a playlist and how to add hymns and to bulk upload (if this is possible). Whether this feature gets added or not this is a great app.

This app can not work on my Android phone at all as it takes eternity to open after installing the app. My phone is infinix x650, version 8.1.0 I feel very sad that I don't have access to my energy-giving and motivational songs. It is practically impossible for me to carry hard copy of the sacred hymn. It cost me 4 months savings to buy my phone and surprisingly, the purpose of buying the phone is defeated. I love listening to the music more than food but now the app is a big time failure.

My mom has the apple vesion and it works 10x better than the android version. I have not been able to see the youth theme music in order and it has been a little bit buggy and I thought that it might have just needed an update but that was not the case.

I only have one problem....get the page to stop from going left or write while I am reading and scrolling down or up and zooming. Add a button to press to get to the next page so it won't change pages while we are scrolling the music up or down. Thanks

Fixed: uninstalled, reinstalled (again) and it works now. Original (1 star): Crashes and bugs. Can't send feedback via settings - crashes. Can't DL music - fails on every title, says to "check internet connection" but I'm connected. Would love for this to work.

This is a very disappointing app. On my Android phone it lets me create a playlist but there's no actual way to play that playlist. You have to seriously play songs one by one? Or maybe you can play a playlist but there's no guidance on how to do that, there's no explanation it just shows you the music and you select or play one at a time. Very disappointing I really would love to create a variety of LDS music and not have to sit and hold my phone to play the next song. Don't bother with this.

After an uninstall and reinstall it works great! I'm able to see the music and sing as off key as I normally do. I think it would be nice if it had a karaoke setting where it would help you learn the song, both rhythm and pitch

The songs are great. I like this app. But can I suggest something? Can you make it a normal music player app? I wish it has shuffle and loop features too. I really enjoy the songs and its helpful. But I don't enjoy much on how I play them. Thanks! :) keep moving forward.

Great app. Please adjust the sensitivity to swipe left and right to go from song to song. It's too sensitive often when I'm trying to scroll down, it will think I'm trying to navigate songs.

The app wouldn't load or allow me to download any songs. I uninstalled it then reinstalled it and it worked again. I would much rather use this app over the hymnal in gospel library as this one shows the music, but it being glitchy is frustrating.
