The standard works of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) are the four books that currently constitute its open scriptural canon, due to the LDS belief in continuous revelation.

● The Holy Bible (King James version)● The Book of Mormon, subtitled since 1981"Another Testament of Jesus Christ"● The Doctrine and Covenants of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints● The Pearl of Great Price (containing the Book of Moses, the Book of Abraham, Joseph Smith-Matthew and Joseph Smith-History)

+ The Joseph Smith Translation of the Bible

The standard works are printed and distributed by the LDS Church in a single binding called a quadruple combination and as a set of two books, with the Bible in one binding, and the other three books in a second binding called a triple combination. Current editions of the standard works include a Bible dictionary, photographs, maps and gazetteer, topical guide, index, footnotes, cross references, excerpts from the Joseph Smith Translation of the Bible (JST), and other study aids.

Under the LDS Church's doctrine of continuing revelation, Latter-day Saints believe literally in the principle of revelation from God to his children. Individual members are entitled to divine revelation for confirmation of truths, gaining knowledge or wisdom, meeting personal challenges, and so forth. Parents are entitled to revelation for raising their families.

Divine revelation for the direction of the entire church comes from God to the President of the Church, who is viewed by Latter-day Saints as a prophet in the same sense as Noah, Abraham, Moses, Peter, and other biblical leaders. When prophets and general authorities of the church speak as "moved upon by the Holy Ghost", it "shall be scripture, shall be the will of the Lord, shall be the mind of the Lord, shall be the word of the Lord, shall be the voice of the Lord, and the power of God unto salvation." Members are encouraged to ponder these revelations and pray to determine for themselves the truthfulness of doctrine.

This is very helpful and handy. I just hope that the contents are exactly the same as the original hard copies to avoid misleading the people. But I am grateful that this became an app so we can read the scriptures easily anytime, anywhere..God bless :)

The BoM does NOT add to the bible nor is it another scripture. It is more like a companion that simply proves the bible is true. The BoM only works WITH the bible. To post the rev. 22:18 just proves you know nothing of what rev. Is saying nor do you understand (probably have never read either) the BoM. So stop pushing your opinions with no backed up fact. Just because you choose to just dislike the LDS church, it doesn't make your comments correct... At all.

Great! I love it! If there are errors they are just typos in printing. Joseph Smith, Jr. was once a Prophet called by God to prepare the generations of the family of Adam for the second coming of Jesus Christ. For the critics. Please, open your minds to receive light of knowledge and understanding that will be your guide to salvation.

This older version of lds scriptures shows more of the inaccuracies the book has before the church deleted certain passages to hide doctrinal changes. This is great! I hope some of you will cross reference this edition with today's edition to see all the cover ups!

I am very happy to be able to read my scriptures on my phone. It's so much easier than trying to take my books to church. Thank you.

Mormons refuse to look at "anti-mormon" literature. I was able to use this app to bring two Mormons to the true christ!

Great free app as long as the ads do not bother you. If they do then you should buy the no ad app which is affordable.

If you do not know, you need only to ask. If you have to ask, you do not know.

Let's give the developers the benefit of the doubt. Please explain why 2 Nephi 27 has Isaiah 7 18 to 25 added at the end.

Doctrine of beliefs. You preach a good God. I do not see that in mankind's sufferings. You say there's good. I'll show you mankind is evil. You say God loves. I'll say you're out of your mind.
