Category : Trivia
Probably the best concept and design of the several trivia apps I have, but it is true questions will repeat if you play the same category a lot (in my case, History). I wish it had a larger American player base too but that's not really a problem with the app itself. If they want more questions I can offer my services because the current process seems a little slow.
I had some issues loading the update for this, meaning I couldn't access the game. I went through the usual stuff to get it to work but to no avail. I contacted the app directly and they couldn't have been more helpful, eventually doing it remotely for me and sending a link to re install it. There user support is second to none!
Love this game and would have given 5 stars if not for one very annoying glitch which is mentioned by another reviewer. When playing in a league the system often crashes as I am about to start a game and I lose that game. I have lost countless games this way now and it's quite frustrating. Apart from that it's a brilliant game with a good broad range of questions and some excellent quizzers to play against.
Pretty good game but while it is stated you are matched with players of similar ranking that is often not the case. In response to a random request I end up playing people who are top ranked. I don't want to trounce someone, or to be trounced right out of the gate. A competitive game where players are fairly matched is more enjoyable. Also, game is very Eurocentric with majority of sport questions on European football, or as we call it, soccer.
The questions are reasonably broad, but skewed towards particular audiences. The question reporting system is poor: it gives no feedback to players who make reports as to the outcome of such reports, it is very easy to miss as it is small and out of the way, and there is no way to return to report after fact-checking (a list of recent questions for the current player would help). The gameplay is simple and focused on questions rather than mechanics. It's an okay app, but overall not ideal.
I think that this app is okay. I learn a lot from answering the questions. And I do enjoy playing with friends. But there have been a few glitches that my other friends have noticed too. First of all, I am suddenly thrust in a game I did not agree to or accept the challenge of from people I don't know. Then when it eventually times out because I won't play ones I didn't begin myself, it says I lost. Why would I have a loss for something I didn't agree to play? here should be an option to reject. I'm a teacher. I'm not sitting at my phone 24/7. Too, I have played a number of the "quick" games with people around the country that seem to get stuck somehow. I am playing, but then the other person doesn't. But it never times them out. They are only supposed to go for short times. But these games are stuck for DAYS. Yet when I play and somehow walk away for two minutes, then it times me out. I exited out of one of these because I thought something was wrong, but then lost points. I now have two losses not actually my losses. Two other quick games eventually, days later, timed out because the others didn't play. But had they finally started playing in the middle of the night, I would have lost for sleeping. The timing out feature needs to be fixed as I expect to play a quick game during the hour that I have, not days where I don't have that time. Too, I have found the questions getting repetitive and I haven't played that many rounds. I often see at least five I've seen before in any given round. While I do appreciate the idea of the app, I think the execution has some bugs to fix.
Awesome game and one of the better trivia games I've seen on here. Plenty of gameplay options with challenges, leagues and board games which offer a good amount of depth and playability. Ads aren't too frequent or intrusive and no rip off microtransactions. Rare to see a quality game like this that isn't just used purely as a cash cow for the developers, it could use more players perhaps but that's dependent on others downloading it, which I highly recommend.
It is super fun! You can play against random people all over the world or against a friend in a fun board game online to gain points you can also practise different categories and gain another type of points. People can get very competetive. There are tournaments competitions and much more! I love this app and if you are thinking about getting it, you deffinantly should☺️
Best quiz game ever. It's a community, the questions are as varied as you could want and ads are unobtrusive. There are leagues to play in or create, as well as standard trivial pursuit style games. There is also just the right amount of time to answer each question.
Lots of glitches, and I've lost more than one game because of them. One game I answered the question correctly, the answer turned green (indicating a correct response) then instead of letting me roll again it immediately went to my opponent's turn. We each needed one more wedge to win and my opponent won the game on that next turn which should have been my turn, because of that glitch. This takes away my experience points and lowers my rank in my league, and there's no way I can fix it.
Board game doesn't update while waiting my turn. Regular categories allow too few rounds of play I'm being indicated to have lost random and quick board games in which I didnt participate I'm regular category head to head games one expects to know whether the result is a win or loss once the game has been completed. Everything considered a far too exasperating experience though the potential exists for it to be an enjoyable and challenging experience.
Looks very good, challenging questions. A shame you can't see answers once game is over. Miss music questions! Difficult to invite friends if you don't have Whatsapp or Facebook. Please add other options. Please add option to refuse challenges (certain topics don't interest me). When are you planning to add availability for iOS?
Love this quiz app. Always someone new to play against. Great range of questions and I love the 'Trivial Persuit' esque design of the game. Endless fun! You can even take part in public and private quiz leagues if you fancy competing :). Highly recommended.
Amongst the trivia games available I rate this particular app as number 1. From the interface to the questions, the developers have done an assume job. I DO have a few suggestions, however. 1. When done with a "Challenge" with a friend their should be an option to review the quiz and each other's answers. 2. An option to connect Facebook and add/invite friends directly should be added. The current option is time consuming and inconvenient. 3. DARK MODE please
I currently have several ongoing games that I can't do anything with because the other 'person' seems to have stopped playing. I'm also matching against the same player multiple times, but this player is inactive?? I believe it's a bot rather than a person. When I tried to join a public league, one of my existing, dead-end games has been selected as a league match?? Not great.
So, this game is really fun, but there are a few flaws... first of all, if you want to play a game, if no "human" opponent is available, you can't play... an AI would be good if no one is available. Another problem is that prior to last update, you could play with a friend. For some reason, I can't add a friend, much less play with them. And lastly, I'm starting to get a lot of questions I have had several times already. You need some new questions! In spite of all of 5his, I love this game!
It seems a little unfair in the case of a drawn game. The player that could completes the game in faster time gets 2 points and the player with the slower time gets 0 points (Eventhough they answer the same number of questions correctly)
The app seems to be fine itself, but although it replicates the board game pretty well, you have to answer your questions alone, which takes the fun out of the game itself. You're just answering questions and then waiting till it's your turn again - you don't see each other's questions or how many you have each answered so there's no feeling of progress really. It might be more fun on video chat but the questions have a time limit so you couldn't read out questions or discuss answers.
Very nice game until you start encountering cheaters. I have just lost a board game to someone who answered 31 questions correctly, CONSECUTIVELY! I had enjoyed the game up to a point now where I keep getting matched to 'super quizzers' Uninstalled.
A very good version of trivial pursuit. A quick quiz also included and plenty of online competitors. You can progress up a league table of several thousand. Some questions do repeat, they are bound to if you play any quiz enough.
Great fun, really easy to use interface and questions are very challenging. Only downside is I can't seem to find enough public tournaments and the public leagues take forever to plough through.
Great questions overall and fun to play. Only problem it rewards speed over questions correct in some of the tournaments...so I could get 10 right but someone who gets 9 right but faster wins. Speed of answering should be axed.
Excellent stuff - pure trivial pursuit business, lovely interface, unobtrusive ads. One star off perfect because of Jose.75 who I think must be a bot, turning up and grabbing quick games and quitting a wedge or two in.
Latest update constantly crashes. Pixel2 XL up to date with updates. Was working fine this morning but now closes after about 3 seconds. Have uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled. Still crashing
It is a very good trivia game but some of the questions are quite obscure. I think the variety will increase with usage. I enjoy the challenge games so you can play against other player.
It crashes every single turn, then it gets stuck and says I'm answering and tells me to wait my turn. Unfortunate, because it's fun to play when it works.
Much more than just a board game as you can also get involved in Leagues and Tournaments. The board games work just like the real Trivial Pursuit so I can't understand why some people are complaining about having to answer more questions than their opponents. As with the physical board game, the number of questions you have to answer depends on how lucky you are with the roll of the dice. The Leagues and group chat function enable you to make friends with people from all over the world.
Uninstalled before re: bad experiences. Came back to give it another try. Format is great and very reminiscent of Trivial Pursuit. But too many problems. Dice rolls supposedly random, but too many games where opponent goes from wedge spot to wedge spot, and I can't even get on one to even attempt an answer. And now twice in a quick game, lost my turn for "taking too long to answer" before the question even appeared on the screen. Sad, this game could great, but this stuff takes the fun out of it
