I understand that this app is for beginners, but characters should still be an option. Also, there are some Pinyin mistakes. For example, in lesson 20, "Beijing" is missing tone marks; it should be "Běijīng."
This is a review for other users' benefit, especially those that risk wasting money, not for talking to grumpy developers who wanna argue with their users. "Basic Chinese" is fine but I'm referring to the APP being too basic as it lacks any standout features for learning. There are no special "effective methodologies" (as it misleadingly says in description) - you just go through them manually one by one. There is no feature to help the learning such as a review test with words from earlier days.
Good to hear pronanciation (when it is not Google's), but there are quite a few errors throughout. Also crashes quite often.
Very simple app (too simple?) that just present you Chinese word or sentence with the associated translation. Some contain mistake (already in day 3, Ni de jiāxiāng should be ni de lăojiā).
C'mon people that give 1 star, quit your bi***ng! This app is for beginners and free ads. Great app btw!
when i open the app after every word it asks me for my home adress, phone number and even SSN.. i was watching tv yesterday when i heard loud screams coming from my front door.. 26 chinese men were standing there loudly screaming the sentences from this app and threatened me to use it.. else i would be mummificated in noodles..
Its very helpful this one app, thanks for this one app owner who help for students
"Just because you got the app for free doesn't mean you write missleading and false reviews." 😂😂😂
It's a good basic primer to learn Chinese.
The pace for learning is terrific.
I have not been diligent with it, however i like the way it is set up.
Nice game i so happy because offline🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😃😋🤣🤣
I really love this app
GOOD APP FOR BASIC CHINESE
Its so halpful
Good app but the developer/s seem to get very annoyed very quickly about the most simple of things such as a review.
Great app to begin learning the very basics of Chinese for free and no ads to distract. Having the words pronounced by (I think) a native speaker is fantastic and building the word list daily instead of being overwhelmed with a huge list makes learning even easier. I would definitely not mind paying if the dev builds on the app with more words and perhaps a way to test and/or keep track of progress as well as learning to read/write. Thanks to the dev for their work, I for one appreciate it.
