Very good app, I like that it jumps right in with sentences and dialogues are very useful. Only minor thing, when I'm on the computer it crashes. Great job y'all! Update 09/10/20: as I have gotten farther in the app there have been more errors, sound not matching text, some text skipping words. I've reported each one and they have seemed to fix them in a timely manner but can't give 5 stars since there have been so many errors.
I am learning words but not what you mostly yuse in a conversation although it's good
I'm so happy this app exists! My favorite part about the app is that you can speak! it helps a lot with my confidence. Something I would like to see from the app is a separate speaking section to practice making the sounds of the vowels and consonants. I think this app has some real potential! Watch out Duolingo!
Great app, but vocal permissions don't work. I can't use microphone to do the exercices....
ជំរាបសួរបងប្អូនជនរួមជាតិ Woohoo 🎉 this App super awesome 😁, I would highly recommend. Thanks Jeff
Excellent app! It would be challenging IF there weren't any pictures that give the answer. Get rid of the pictures and give more learning sessions that continue to build on what is already learned mixed with new sessions. Love this app!
Very good. This is a difficult language. The program leads me at a pace I can manage.
Loving learning Khmer using this App! Easy to use and a great tool to use alongside other more structured material (I have an audiobook going into specific grammar). This App doesnt get bogged down with teaching you the intricacies e.g. specific grammar - he,she, they, but introduces it in context with other words you are learning. I have found that I learn the grammar on the way and can recognise he, she, I etc without being explicitly taught. This hastens my learning and stops boredom!
This app is EXCELLENT! I have been looking for an app that has Khmer with English written translation similar to duo lingo, and this fits the bill for what is an uncommon language! However it's a bit buggy when installing. At first it wouldn't open, but I fixed this by installing the generic version of LING that has all languages.
A decent app, but could use some improvements. Repetition and breakdowns for the meanings of individual words would help. I expect more out of a pay service.
I enjoy a lot the lesson offered by the apps. It is all-in-one language apps. You can learn as many as language that you love every where. All you have to do is download the apps, then start learning. Set your language learning goals by yoursefl. ❤❤❤
The Khmer is slightly too formal, but the app is excellent.
Has some glitches and is slow, however is by far the best app I've found for learning Khmer. Requires subscription $8.99/month or $40/year. Is comparable to duolingo but not as polished.
Paid $65 subscription to unlock all features for a year. It's only been 2 months and I'm locked out and the app tells me to pay again for all the features. What a joke. I want my money back.
It's a great App and definitely the best one to learn Khmer The performance could be better at some points but the big performance improvement in the last Update shows that the team is working on it Therefore 5 from 5 stars from me Arkoun for your work
I really love this app, but after an update the way to pronounce khmer words disappeared. It really helped me on the pronunciation & association of Khmer words & since it disappeared I haven't been using the app much.
This app worked for the first day and was a great learning tool but after that, everytime I have tried to open it it has crashed. I have now uninstalled it.
After some issues with payment everything was solved with the support team. The app itself is very helpful and a great way to learn related languages such as Thai, Lao and Khmer by comparing lessons.
So far it is on par with the other learning apps. Just my Khmer friends said some things aren't pronounced properly...like Satrei, the way they pronounce woman actually means enemy? But otherwise, a fun way to learn!
I've been trying to find a way to learn my mother's native language forever and haven't found anything until I stumbled upon Ling! I haven't spoken Khmer since I was a small child. It feels so good to learn and understand the language again.
I am a cambodian American who is trying to master the language before I go and take my trip to Cambodia. This has been helpful and has refreshed my vocabulary also, very easy to use.
Really good to start but if you have already some knowledge it won't suit you ! They have so many languages available the price really worth the content :)
Growing up Khmer American. I had a hard time learning Khmer. After finding this app and how simple it is. I am not afraid to learn my parent's native language.
A very good setup, this was a surprisingly good learning app. And has more languages than most.
Thank gou for providing Khmer language resource. Surprisingly hard to find teachings! This one is helping me by providing reading writing and speaking together! :)
Learning a language should start off with words not sentences. It is much easier that way. Edit: Thank you for telling me c:
I just started using this today and it is a lot of fun. I cannot vouch for it's accuracy, as I have no comparison. However, it seems to do a good job of really getting the different sounds across. There are a few times that the matching cards part has you match words that have not been covered first, so that glitch probably needs corrected. Also, it would be nice if there was content explaining why words are written into the conversation but not actually said aloud. Overall, I am enjoying it!
