I disinstalled it. It insists too much on paying to have premium, and it did not recognise that yesterday I did my daily lesson.... I see the points but the lesson shows as never done then I cannot do the weekly test. The apps crashes too often if you use it for too long, but if you do a maximum 30 minutes session it works well. I like how is well designed, very easy to use and very useful. I still like it but I won't use anymore an app that try to force people to pay. Fix this problem. please.
I really wanted to love this app, would even be willing to pay for it, but despite the interface which is great, the chat bot feature which is cool and the large amount of content, it's lacking a placement evaluation which as someone who is not a total beginner is a deal breaker because I have to go through so much stuff that I already know and there's a lot of repetition in the lessons so it's just annoying. Also there's a weird static sound on the audio which isn't an issue with my phone.
Its a paid app. You'll have to buy premium if you want to learn. Dont waste your time installing it if you want to learn for free like I did. UI is simply amazing and interactive. Features really fun and easy way to learn better than duolingo in lot of terms. I just wish if it was free or price of premium was under budget.
This is a great app. I previously used the Spanish course, now I am on the German one as a beginner. I like the size of the lessons (about 10-15 minutes work), I like the fact I can skip to topics that are useful to me, and I find the app keeps me motivated. One criticism: When it asks you to translate a German sentence into English it seems to have one precise wording in mind, and if you put a different but perfectly correct English translation it is marked as wrong.
Great app, highly reccomend. No adds apart recommendation to buy a full paid version where you have an access to all features. On free version: choose one from at least 30 languages, then your level on language (from 3 level) then you ready to start your adventure. You would have access to daily lesson, and you can repeat all the words from taken lessons, there is also a chat box which is a great tool to check your pronunciation. I have just taken a trial to test all available features.
It is ok for learning terminology, like the first words in a foreign language. It has repetitive content in the daily lessons published. In 60 lessons I ran out of any new learnings. Now I am struggling with unistalling the app, since there is no option on the app to stop the subscription. I have wrote several email to Mondly, they don't reply or offer any support. For the last months been charged and I haven't find a way to cancel the payment. Suggestions?
The app is very great, but the option is to use without subscription is too limited. You can't even check all of the functionallities and you immediatelly have to pay or delete the app. It is dissapointing, because it can be a great app. What I don't understand why each an every app pricing their services to 10 EUR. If the price would be 2-3 EUR / month without one year sub. then it will be a grait app again. But with the current setup it is disappointing 😟😟😟.
In detail description of how to use the various tense in various words. As this is the most difficult factor in learning German. It also allows you various methods of understanding the language by giving you various opportunities by listening and typing out what you hear. Super exciting however, the app when downloaded show its free however there is a subscription required after the 7 day free trail period
I am having a great experience with this app so far. Could do with a purely listening lesson for when driving.
It has great content and is very fun to start learning.only big downside is the premium offers that are a bit too expensive. I'm looking at apps to start learning German because I cannot afford a course (thought in a school with a teacher and all that) and I get that both devs and the content creators need to be paid, but maybe a more affordable compromise could be found (maybe with weekly rewards of an extra free lesson?)
So far pretty cool, gave only done two lessons and I have been asked to upgrade 4 times. You should let people try the product before shoving it down their throats. Looks cool though, different than duo, I like that it refreshes the words you learn in the lesson and that you can see all verb conjugations when you click on them.
I learned a lot in a week, and I usually have trouble remembering things but is app helped me memorize different languages. I truly recommend this app if you have trouble learning new things. Or if you want to learn faster.
Great over all set up and learning experience. Ironically the only thing I have to complain about is the gift option to buy more accounts isn't working properly. I just missed a yearly discount because the button doesn't work. It tries to add additional years to my own account instead of setting up additional accounts.
it's beyound great but appears that I know a lot more German than I thought. this app is really good it's give you some great spelling test and more which you don't find in many language apps, if any at all!(and I have tried a lot of language apps . I can definitely recommend and I'm seriously considering buying a subscription.
Really enjoy learning on here. Seems to guide a person through in a fashion that ingrains the information without a great deal of effort. Small criticisms are the vocal doesn't work well or sometimes at all on the first question. Points don't appear to be added after conversation levels (maybe this has been fixed by now?) Overall a fun experience and I'm definitely learning.
Disgusting! Stolen money out my account for months since August without my authorization or permission! No emails or alerts or notifications that this was happening! They've taken £70 out my card so far. I never subscribed to this or was aware of this, Few days after having it I deleted it, and they've managed to get into my Google pay and take payments without my permission. So unhappy with this app. Trying to claim a refund from what's happened. Hopefully this can be resolved by Google.
This app is a trap. No option to unsubscribe to premium content in the app. If Mondly replies to my comment here and tells me to email them rather than providing details on how to unsubscribe within the app, there's all the evidence you need. Don't fall for their trap, it isn't worth it and it's ridiculously expensive

The app is nice but please change your reward system. As someone who has studied educational psychology, you should give rewards and retrials like duolingo does instead of deducting stars because it makes the learning experience bad, fearful and can make the learner give up the lesson. interface could ne better. The interface could be better as well.
Very good app but hangs sometimes late at night and then i cannot complete the daily lesson and so i lose the chance for the weekly lesson which then loses the chance for the monthly lesson. I am using the free version. Update: it seems the app hangs after 11pm EST. I guess it must be bed time.
I was born by the border between Strasbourg, France and Karlsruhe, Germany. So, I have been multi-lingual since birth. I've been brushing up on French and practicing speaking the Latin American Spanish I've learnt from 20+ years in Cali, using Android apps. This is the first German app I've tried & it's already proving to be excellent! Hopefully I won't have to "kiss alot of frogs to find my Prince", as it were, whilst searching for good apps for Spanish and French! This app is better than any of the many French or Spanish ones, including those I eventually settled on! Vielen Danke! R. Devereaux
The part where my voice is being played is repeatedly cut...in conversation section...perhaps because I am not speaking as fast as it is expected but 1. Does not allow one to record again 2. How do I hear my pronunciation if it's cut so badly by some internal time set by app😭 Otherwise enjoyed it😃
German daily lessons does not contain any hint of grammer and gender forms. Without grammer, there is no way that one can form their own sentence to express oneself. Also there is awful repetition of the words as well in the daily lessons. And they don't accept any queries or links to external guides if you are stuck learning something. The inbuilt German lessons in the paid subscription are mostly useless as one would know who is familiar with German.
Question: I want to cancel my free trial. Do I have to do anything other than uninstall the app to avoid being charged? Update: From 3 stars to 4. The app is not bad, just doesn't meet my needs and I was frustrated by the lack of info on how to avoid auto automatic billing. Communicating with Mondly directly now.
