Learn Guitar Notes
The app learns which parts of the fretboard you know well and focuses on difficult spots by asking you to find a note on the fretboard or to use a piano keyboard to tell what note is being shown. You can always see every note on the fretboard if you need assistance.You can change the tuning to whatever you like and any instrument using 1 to 6 strings is supported. If you are left handed you will be pleased to know that there is an option to display the fretboard in a way convenient to you.

this app is ok except it doesnt allow selection of an open string. DUH!!

This is a good app and I enjoy it.. however I'm uninstalling it because that clock on the app. I'm not sure too many people in the world can find the notes on the fretboard within A Few second's. I can barely even see the note. By the time I recognize where the note is' the clock is done ran out. If This clock gave you more time I would love this app. Maybe the option to make the clock longer would be awesome. . I enjoyed the older version of this app. So much Morel.
This app taught me all the notes on the fretboard. Many sources offer that information, but this app was what I needed to actually do the work to learn it. The timer and heat map help make it a game, and I myself to get faster and master the weak spots. What do you have planned for us next Joris? Whatever it is, sign me up
This is the best app I have found for learning fretboard, and I have tried several. Also it has never locked up or given me any problems.
Great app, very simple to use, I've been using it just under half an hour and I'm starting to understand the patterns of notes . Really recommend it.
I like it but while finding all the notes I cannot tap the open string without opening the tuning.
Nice and simple memorizer, just what i needed...now onto the practice! UPDATE shame the new features doesnt let u turn them off..not so simple now
Learn notes. That's the name of the app. Notes are sounds. This app doesn't play notes. It isn't bad at fretboard position quizzes (accidentals are hard to see though), but it doesn't train on notes.

The colors for sharps and flats are very difficult to see.

I would give this app 5 out of 5 stars and the reasons why I only gave it 2 is it doesn't have any sound when selecting the notes on the fretboard. It seems like its never ending unless the user decides to give it a break. I thought it would stop and show the user their scores. Anyway, what I'm saying is its a great app just needs some adjustments. Oh, all of a sudden it kept crashing on me. So I uninstalled it then reinstalled it. Didn't work. The app ceashes once the tutorial ends. So I can't use it.
After the tutorial, it immediately crashes. Tried reinstalling - still the same.

Please bring back the old version. This new version is not playable(not fun at all). Maybe what you could do is make the timer optional. And also you could add sounds to it so we can hear the notes(good for ear training).
The previous version was a great app. I just updated to latest version 2.0 and it unusable. No Settings option to change between the 3 different modes, and you can't improve your speed if u have to tap status bar every single time. Plus it does not measure your speed over a number of guesses, for example: "100 correct answers with average of 2 seconds". Previuos version was a very good learning tool. This one is a not... Bring back previous version please...
Though it is great for learning, i feel like their should be a mode called "solo" or something like that where you can actually play notes on the keyboard and it wil show up on the guitar. I want to learn how to transfer notes frome piano to guitar. I would definitely give 5 stars if this was added.
