This app is very beneficial. It shows you how to write and pronounce all of hiragana and katakana, along with several other features, such as dates and numbers. The only thing I wish it had would be writing tests. It has tests where you can test your ability to put sounds to characters, but you can't actually practice it the other way around. Other than that, I love it a lot, and it is a great addition to my learning.
Great tool. Flashcards show kana and provide the sound - the ability to shuffle them helps test yourself when you're first learning so you have the ability to flip them for a hint. The test function is also great!
This is a good apps, but please look into my email regarding Pro Version issues. The free version works fine, unfortunately after upgrading to pro, the quizzes no longer works. HELP.
Great app until you buy the pro version to get rid of ads when it just stops working. DO NOT BUY THE PRO even if you get a refund and reinstall it just doesn't work anymore so can no longer use the app. Shame.
Looks like basic app, need to develop words with different options for doing tests, apart from that its very useful to learn Japanese letters. Good application.
i memorize the alphabet in just 1 day with this apps. what a great apps.. now i can read all hiragana and katakana words. next step is only need to understand what the words means. it makes me easy to read japanese words. except kanji. would be better if this apps give a tutorial to read kanji. thanks!!
Simply does its job, I love how straightforward it is. Kudos to the developers for sharing such helpful app for free. If I've been working I'd definitely buy premium.
Quizzes are excellent to use as flash cards to practise, and to test yourself. Also has option to review what you got wrong.
I had a break of about half a year from learning Japanese when I moved, and this app has helped me in relearning/remembering hiragana and katakana
It is a good app, though I use it rarely. It is good for reviews but not if you don't know any of the characters. I'd recommend using drawing apps and textbooks first before using this, then use it for tests.
I am currently focused on learning Hiragana, then moving on to Katakana. This has been one of the best apps for me in my journey to learning Japanese.
Great, you can choose the hirigana or katakana you need to work on and have to type it. It's like writing them, you learn a lot better that way.
add games. you can write words in katakana or hiragana and let us users write the answers in romaji or vice versa. you can also include the meaning of the words you list in the game. but nice, simple app 👍🏻👍🏻
The quizzes are a great learning tool, the app allows you to customize the quizzes. So far it's great!

This is the most user friendly Japanese alphabet app I have found! It lets me practice parts of my choosing unlike the others I have tried.
Very helpful but im giving it a four star since there is no option to have a quiz on both hiragana and katakana altogether.

Good that you can pratice over and over again until you get it burned into your brain. Good app for leaning the hiragana and katakana.
Nice app. Very useful.. Suggestion: add mnemonics for every letter. Ex. Drawing or image that looks like the letters.

The quizzes are great, but BE CAREFUL the flashcards are WRONG when you put them on shuffle.
Using this app is helping me recognize the syllables used in Japanese writing more accurately and faster the more I use it. I find it allows me to choose what I want to focus on and at what pace. I would like to see a bit more variety in tge quizzes such as giving the sound and asking to id the symbol and/or some basic vocabulary.
