I really like the concept and the game play as well as the ability to practice what I've learned in my studies as well as adding new words and kanji to my repertoire. My one complaint is the color contrast of the words against the background. It is very difficult to see pink and purple text against a blue background so trying to quickly read what you can't see becomes painful to the eyes, enough so that I can't play until that is corrected. Contrast is key.

First off, I was stoked to find a game similar to the balloon popping game found in the Mindsnacks apps (rip) which have left a hole in my heart since their discontinuation. I really like the use of both sound and reading only levels. I do think leaners could benefit from the scrambling of the words on the side, as muscle memory quickly played a part in my ability to get the correct match, whether they were in eng or japanese, the same words were always in the same spot! Also a faster level!

If you are learning Japanese vocab this is worth checking out. (Edit) For some reason correct answers are being counted as incorrect. Also, bright pink font on sky blue background is very difficult to read. Other than those things, its a great app.

they say first impressions are most important. I'm not disappointed. I love how u started with numbers and how you mixed up English and Japanese so that we HAVE to remember! I love it. y only issue is I can only read katakana and hirigana.. so the new characters threw me for a loop.

I enjoyed going through all free categories and didn't notice that it's already the wee hours in the morning. Yikes!... and also Congratz for making me purchase a mobile app for the first time! That's saying something. However, the app makes me skip some levels in one or two categories when it's supposed to go through them from the lowest to the highest levels. Only noticed this when I checked the stats and it showed N/A for some levels.

It's a creative and fun way to study Japanese vocabulary. It can seem a bit repetitive at first, but this app tests your abilities in several different fun and creative ways as you progress throughout the levels. The one thing I would suggest is adding in another 1-2 mini games, just to change it up a bit. Otherwise great app!

A little too repetitive and relying solely on brute rote recognition without any creative mnemonics to facilitate learning. Some bugs such as unbubbled or unclickable words. Kinda harsh penalty if you make a mistake since you lose a heart when answering incorrectly, keep losing hearts on same bubble, then lose again when it floats away for a double or triple whammy. If you can fix the minor irritating bugs then I will gladly purchase. Hopefully more categories and vocabulary will be added in future updates or is this it? I'm on the fence about buying.

I like the idea of this app but, it doesn't give you an option to study the characters or vocabulary before dropping you into a game where you basically have to guess (if you're a complete beginner, which I am.). The graphics are pretty & the sounds are soothing, but they don't help me learn.

Its a whole bunch of fun. It has a glitch that the sound disappears sometimes after the ad in between levels. I had no issues in the numbers, but once I moved to animals, I would pass a level, go to the next and the sound went of, no background or anything. I checked my phone and its def the app. If sound wasn't required for some parts I wouldn't mind but it's super annoying.

Great way to learn a language. I've have never been able to get past the tedious part of just picking up simple words and phrases in a language this app makes that part fun. Thanks for the great app.

Maybe that will be a little hard, but that feel when you have done 10 lvl without losing any life is great.

It would be helpful if you could review before and/or after the levels. Apart from that it's very fun and easy to learn and use.

This app does a great job of reinforcing the meaning, pronunciation, and written form for Japanese vocabulary. The games are sufficiently challenging without being too difficult. Good job

Fun, easy but challenges you, and good pronunciation. I would like to have a wider variety of vocab, though a good starter to learning.

Perfect! Absolutely spot on in terms of what I was looking for to build vocabulary quick to complement my parallel studies of the alphabets . The variety in the challenges offering reading and listening practices is a really really nice touch that tops the whole package making it ideal for beginners

It's great to practise Japanese in a fun way plus I also managed to learn new words tooo.. I like the fact that there are different ways to test ones abilities. I would love to see a section for kanji as well...

So far I like this game. I've been playing level one alot to learn the numbers but when I clicked on next it took me to level eight? Not everyone learns a foreign language at the same pace. I also find myself learning the words by listening to the voice and not the kanji. The kanji goes by too fast in the bubble for me to have a look at them. I need to study them to see what they look like, not a glimpse as I'm trying to press the correct answer. To someone unfamiliar to kanji, the symbols look weird. I also played level two a few times and then it wanted me to go to level six? Why all the skipping ahead? Great game though as I'm learning the numbers. How do you spell the words in romanji?

There were so many ads I couldn't even focus on the game! Every time I tried to click on a choice, a damn ad would take me out of it and then the bubble would float off without me making a choice. Incredibly frustrating!

Nice app and nice graphics except I find it really hard to read the pink text that you have to select against the background. Frustrating. Option for different scheme or at least to change the text colour?

Very cute. The music is calming. Too many glitches and bugs.

Great for review and practice recognizing words. Simple enough for a late beginner to add some vocabulary on some existing knowledge.

really helping me.

I wish it would show a number instead of the number written out in English. Or a picture of the animal instead of the word of the animal written in English, it makes it harder to disassociate English and only associate Japanese.
