It would be better if progress synchronized with other devices. Right now, if you've been using it on your phone and want to use it on your tablet, you have to start all over. I don't have this issue with Duolingo or HelloChinese; although otherwise, this is the best app I know of for Japanese.
Great for learners like me. I recommend learning hirigana and katakana first for this, so you can turn off the romaji. Honestly though, my goal is reading first, so im biased. For 5 stars it would be good to see: transfer of scores on free to premium app. Faster transitions between sections and answers. Finally the kana/romaji cycler requires too many presses there is an extra cycle on the free app at that should be English answer minus romaji. Also, no romaji anywhere option! Thanks!
It's great for beginners. Lot of games and practice quizzes. Clear pronunciation of the words. Grammar help is awesome for beginners. Flash card are included. Apps a lot for beginners to intermediate learners.
Hello, all. So, this is a simple and comfy app. I mean, it's easy to use, fast, super intuitive, and colorful which catches my attention. For who that are beginning to study Japanese, it's a good step forward.
Good. I like flash card style allowes me to repeat over and over to commit to memory. This app study course may not be as in depth as some other programs but it is good for quick study. Would be very good for young learners.
It's a great app for learning words and refreshing your memory.. I haven't used it for about 6 months, and have found that I still remember quite a lot!
This app is good but I hope u add a feature that makes me hear kanji charcters instead of just seeing its pronunciation and there are a lot of grammar lessons missing!! That's not all the grammar! thank you
This app is good in learning Japanese. Easy to remember, enjoyable... Thank you... I learned lots of Japanese vocabulary via this app!
I am really disappointed.. I pruchased this app 2 years ago supposing that it will be more grammar leasons or sounds added to the Kanji, but it's still like it was..
Your app is helpful for me. I hope you will release a new version with all kanji characters or more.
Good but was bettered with the 4th language selection option. Up to 5 stars after 4 language selection is back.
I like this. I paid during promo. Now I can learn japanese easily and later on can watch anime or japanese drama without subs. I hope you will give promo for Thai too. I will buy it soon.
Love it it's a great help. Has hiragana and katakana and kanji easy understood grate app

This app makes learning Japanese fun!
Best app for the beginners..love it .thanks team
Great app but worst afer last update

Still learning this app
I WILL GIVE 5 STAR IF IN MENU STUDY COURSE PROVIDE KANJI FOR EACH LESSON
Love it!
Edit: Now I did install this app once again to check if this is resolved. Now it's working properly so far. Thank you!
Better than most language apps I've used, including Duolingo. Bright, fresh graphics, varied approaches to learning that go beyond simple, rote memorisation, and modern, up-to-date phrases and usage for the language being learned (I learned a new phrase in German my very first day). Pro versions are available, but having installed both for Japanese, I don't yet see any differences from the free version.
Not a bad app to learn vocabulary but several typos and errors found, some crucial. Disappointing to see such mistakes on a paid, highly rated app. The developer address is NZ so that explains the errors. General rule is not to trust non-natives with grammar and subtlies of any language. One example: The app tells us to use "arimasen" for things and "imasen" for people and goes on to tells us to use "arimasen" for birds and dogs. The Japanese use "imasen" for living animate things as well, not only for people like this app tells us. The animals would be "arimasen" if it was dead and you were referring to its corpse or being sold in stores like a piece of product. For example, a flower is living but is inanimate so you would use "arimasen" in every circumstance.
Nice and simple. I wanted something almost childlike and basic and this is perfect for beginners to learn a bit of Japanese. It doesnt bombard you with lots of info at once and takes it slow which i appreciate. Its even suitable for my kids and they enjoy the language games. Only thing I'd add is a voice to the grammar section so you can know if you're pronouncing the words correctly.
