The app is quite fun, but it could be even better if it showed images for the words we practice. I've learned more words intuitively than I thought I could thanks to this app. However, it's such a shame that the entire app is under a Premium wall. You won't get passed the first level, literally. But at least there is a one-time payment. Maybe when I buy the lifetime subscription I might upgrade my review. But so far, I can't say much for one level available for free, of each section

Please add an option to remove the time pressure portion on the games. It forces us to miss words we would have otherwise reviewed, and in general makes the games un-fun.

The sentence structure game is the most useful one, honestly the vocab games are kind of pointless since the formula is so predictable and you only have to get it right once. If you get something wrong it will ask it as the first question next time you start, so it's really easy to remember. If there was a separate category after the section is finished, where you could review ones you've missed once, or twice, or 3x, etc, it would be so much more useful.

It's a useful and fun addition. But I do have 3 issues with it: 1. It's very new so there's small mistakes in the content, which can be confusing for a new learner. 2. It doesn't let you finish your last word on timed exercises. That's frustrating, learning should come before the arbitrary time limit. 3. There is no one time payment option, meaning the longer you keep this app, the more expensive it gets. I'm currently paying €3.29 a month, which is €39.48 a year. That's too much for one app.

Probably the cutest way to learn a new language. The small animations you get for completing sessions are adorable and feel very rewarding. The different trainig categories make it easy to set focus one your individual needs. Sadly there are many errors in the audio file mappings. That's made even worse by the fact that you can't deactivate certains words. So the app will play incorect audio, you will select the 'wrong' answer, and then you get the word again and again and again.

As a true fan of LingoDeer, this was an instant subscribe for me. But unfortunately, the more I use the app, the more I realize that some key features are missing to make it effective. Without a proper strengthening program, it's not very useful to just go through everything once. Even the core LingoDeer app could use better strengthening exercises. On both, there should be a way to flag things you need to practice more. Otherwise I still need to make flashcards... which defeats the purpose.

I enjoy running through vocabulary, very soothing and satisfying, because I benefit so much from guided repetition. The sound effects really add to it, and this is my favorite of the flashcard style apps. The app is still very new but already they've repaired most of the bugs I initially experienced, with more content on the way, so I look forward to spending plenty of time here. Edit, 7 months later: I still use this app almost daily, such a good aid. No bugs now, and new activities!

While Lingodeer was perfect for me to learn Korean. I think Deerplus can still be improved. Firstly, I don't fancy having to follow the decided learning levels. Not being able to pick which vocab to learn first. For example, I would rather learn colors first rather than exercises name. Secondly, Its a pain that I have to check the levels one by one when I want to review specific part of the lessons. Otherwise, I think it was worth it to pay for

Very little "free" content. I love lingo deer it's very useful and helpful but this extension I think should have other means of payment, maybe an ad supported version? Many people aren't keen on monthly payments, especially if they are already paying for the main app. Just my thoughts. I'd love it if there was a way to unlock the things by watching ads or something rather than pay every month, I'm in China, it's not easy or convenient to pay via Google play store.

Very useful language learning app. I only have 2 issues with it: 1) the Stream of Phrases exercise doesn't give enough time to read the sequence, not to mention the answers; it should have the timer removed. 2) after cancelling membership it doesn't let you review the already unlocked lessons. In conclusion, it's a great app if you can afford to keep paying for it, but otherwise it's not even worth installing

This app is really helpful in improving vocab. Exactly what I'm looking for. I learned via other apps qnd most of them focused on grammars. While it's good, it's not enough to practice since the vocab is limited. The Lingodeer Plus helped this. This app is recommended for those who already know the basic of languages you want to learn. If you're really a beginner, you will find difficulties to keep up with the exercises.

I think it's a great tool, I did pay for it, the only real gripe i have is for the phrase making game. The time is way too fast and the sentences are pretty long. For a beginner trying to read and translate, I need a little more time to process the sentences. I find myself guessing until I memorize the answer. Either add time to it or make an option where you can or pause it. Until you get to further reading comprehension level at least.

The grammar games were very helpful, and I could see myself using them frequently for practice. But the main issue (which other reviewers have pointed out) is that it's a separate membership purchase. I understand it's a separate app, but I'm not willing to pay for Lingodeer and this on top of it, that's asking too much. These games should've been added to the main app as premium features to draw in new subscribers, instead of trying to make even more money on current subscribers. Disappointing.

This is for Japanese, don't know about other languages. The app feels half-done. Sometimes if you make a mistake, you get a short text explanation of why it happened, most times you do not. But there is a great listening skill trainer. It's got enough useful stuff that I still pay for it, but not good enough to give s higher rating to. Also, they've been promising to do something with in game coins for years now, and it's still not touched.

I have got the paid version so I hope you can add more variety games and more down/wait time for the newer learners (like it skips the question after a second or in grammar part, letting me guess the stuff- I can guess them right and it wouldn't even let me see the explanations why it's supposed to be that way. Maybe an 'i don't know' option?) For the amount of money, it is not enough content for me for now.

I am studying Mandarin. I am a fan of normal Lingodeer. This app is OK but doesn't really help you learn. It tests you, but when you fail, it doesn't teach you where you went wrong - often it moves to the next screen before you can study your mistake. I thought it would correspond with the normal apps lessons, but it doesn't.

Only usable with subscription. Only the first (very easy) level is free. Yes, it is understandable that creating the app and kurating the data is a lot of work. The single star is because you offer the app like it's free, and not even on the page that opens when starting level 2 quizzes, that a subscription is needed to learn with the app. That is really bad practice, that deserves only a 1 star rating. Replace this with a clear communication about the subscription from the beginning and ...

Great app so far. My only issue is the 'coins' you get. What are they for??? (see edit below) I think this app will definitely help build my vocabulary (I've struggled to memorize specific words, so the game style will be helpful.) definitely worth the subscription fee in my opinion.... edit for 5 stars. If you click to your profile there is a link to a 'store' that is coming soon. very happy with this app. :D

I didn't mind paying for the original Lingodeer app, I get that development costs quite a lot and your products are well made. But having to buy a second subscription, one which also really isn't cheap, for what is essentially a companion app for reinforcement, is kinda too much. As thankful, as I am for all of the quality material the Lingodeer team has given given us, I won't accept paying twice for the same service. At the very least include a much cheaper plan for members of the main app.

Kev. B. Nov 5, 2019

Quizzes are locked in to 2 seconds per word, it's impossible to try and memorize something after getting it wrong as it advances after 1 second. Lessons are labeled by number instead of what is taught so reviewing previous lessons is difficult. Probably good at teaching vocab if you can get over the frustrations but that's it

I really love this app, its very helpful! It would be super helpful to add some kind of chart of the correct endings before you play a "sea of verbs" game, and a way to mark difficult words in the "word express" so those could be practiced separately. Also an overview of the words in a word express level before you play the level

Seems pretty fun for the one lesson I could do before asking for payment. Wanted to by the lifetime access but they were asking for £94! dropped to £47. That was raised from £36. If you're asking for that kind of money you might want to consider credit option so people can pay over time if possible. Edit: So I went ahead and brought it and it's really good so far. I would like to see writing practices. I hope the money I paid is worth it in the long run.

Bry. C. Sep 14, 2019

The content is great and diverse. However my major concerns are double subscriptions when I have the main app, the speed of testing doesnt allow learning, also I thought the main app vocabulary would feed into this app but it's all new words posing a HUGE unforgiving learning curve, I dont mind spending the money but theres alot to correct here before I feel confident that I'll love this app. I was looking for a fun way to quickly expand conversation "where are you from" and review.

Gab. May 10, 2019

The games are FANTASTIC. They make learning super, super fun. However, there needs to be an access option other than a strict paywall. Perhaps limiting time, or 'lives' while keeping the app itself free to play with such restrictions in place, and keep the unlimited use behind a paywall. These games are so great and it would be awesome to see them available to a wider audience looking to learn!

Lun. N. Apr 28, 2020

The app seems like a dream for learning my desired language, I like all the lessons and how they all seem to be interwoven in a way which is easy for anyone to understand. The main issue however is that for some reason I'm unable to sign up in the app, and therefore can't continue. I would love to test out premium to see how much progress I could make, but becuase of the abovementioned issue am hesitant to do so. :/

Lya. L. Mar 29, 2019

I love the original lingodeer app and this is a fun addition, but I doubt this will help my vocabulary a lot. It is very easy to "guess" the right answer. It would be better if you could practice only the words you have difficulties with or the words you had wrong 1-2-3-... times.

Ell. S. Apr 24, 2019

This is a great app, it has really helped me to memorize words and sentence. But i have found an error within the Korean level 2. Some of the audio does not match the words that are given. The word 딸 has the audio for 부모님, 부모님 has the audio for 오빠, and 오빠 has the audio for 과일. This has caused a problem for the memory castle game, due to the mismatch.

The "free" download of this app is simply the demo of the entire app. They let you do level 1 of all the games but after that, you have to pay a subscription. I mean, if I could, I would pay, but I simply don't understand the idea of locking literally 95% of the entire app. The app clearly isn't 100% developed but they still think they can slam a seperate ad for a second subscription in your face. 😒

Drifting letters section - Can pls tweak this section so that revisions of learnt words can be more effective? When I try to practic levels that I have already passed, I can only practice the first half of the words in that level before the timer runs out. That means I never get to practice the second half of the level. It would be good to remove the timer when revising levels, so that we can get to revise the full list of words without the timing running out. Thanks
