I was super excited when I found this app to help my clients learn shapes with out all the extra pictures and backgrounds. While the twinkle sound and the uh-oh are cute, I would have loved it if the sound effects gave the name of the shapes as it was put in its place like I thought it did.
The idea is simple but the practice was ineffective. My little one drops shapes into the right spots, but unless the shape is perfectly lined up, it would fail. For a two year old, those places shouldn't be so finicky as he is still developing his hand-eye coordination.
My son has mastered not only sorting but identifying shapes because of this app. We have been using it since before he was a year and a half old. he turns two in December and he's able to sort the shapes and identify almost all of them. Yes they have to be aligned perfectly to go in but it's great because it teaches him patience and hard work. For those saying i doesnt teach shapes you should tell your child what shape theyre touching! Thats how they will learn. You dont need a robot voice telling them.
Good no ads. Active areas to drop shapes should be bigger so kid can get it easily. I'm bigger screens more space between drop areas, less ambiguity. Add shape name when pick up or drop. Add ads on home screen only. Earn for efforts.
Variation of color combination and shapes will help the lil one use both part of his brain : left (for critical thinking and developing logic in his own little way) & right (by recognizing images and colors). Functionality of choosing voice for placing right object in right shape is best chosen as children are sensitive to voices especially "sound of applaud" which makes them giggle/laugh when they hear it in general. So if your child is in age group of 2-3 years and you have recently started making him learn ABC,123 or shapes ; this app will enhance his grasping power in a more fun filled manner and would work as an elementary course before moving up to next level with Jigsaw Puzzles .
It's a great concept but you can't expect a toddler to have the coordination to perfectly place the shapes. My two year can match them but it tells her she's wrong because it wasn't perfectly lined up. You can't teach a child if they do it right but is told she's wrong.
Was cute at first but then it stops making the sounds the kids like n then it stops the celebration sound after. That's what motivates the kids
My toddler loves this puzzle game! It is sometimes a little too particular on how accurately the shape needs to be lined up, but otherwise it's a great game and helps with hand eye coordination.
Wish that when they clicked on a shape it said the name of the shape. All this does is teach matching shapes. My 3 year old got bored! Extra bonus would be to say the color too.
But, I wish you would make it easier I can't get past the second level
My toddler got mad at this. The placement has to be exact and he is just not docile enough for that yet. Maybe for a 3 year old, but not my 20 month old.
My daughter is 20 month and see play this game so excitedly and this game help my daughter to learn shapes so quick...
Does not teach shapes, only hand - eye coordination
Needs to tell the child what shape they are clicking on and when they place it in the right spot
My kid cnt place the pieces yet but he loves sound n tries to move shapes
I was expecting it to cheer when correct and name the shape you matched.
Really nice app for kids love thid
Interesting game to learn the shapes.
Kids entertainment and learning together
This game is very good for children
Nice game for kids...hepls to understand shapes..thank you
Need to name shapes for child to learn
How is it a learning game if it doesn't tell the child the name of the shape????
My 1 year old daughter loves this....
Why cant there be a voice when he puts the shape at the right place as the numbers app?
Easy to play and learn with shapes
Too simple and boring
Love it
It's okay
I guess a 2 year old, like my granddaughter, will get bored with this in about 2 minutes. It needs to have other levels with more complex shapes and some sort of scoring to encourage play. It also requires too much accuracy to place the shape exactly. Could have been far better with a bit of effort
