Good app with good selection of content, however you cannot sync your progress across your devices. They use that to pull you into buying more expensive packages. When i asked why i couldn't sync with my laptop, i was told "Its only an app, " and then got the sales pitch to buy the big expensive package with alot of stuff i dont want. The description for this app uses verry different wording. Also there are more grammatical errors on the flashcards than should be for a paid app.
I love this app! I just downloaded the free version & summarily upgraded to the paid version because my first lesson was amazing! I have been using another very popular Spanish app for a while & didn't want to commit to a monthly subscription fee until the end of time,so I had to suffer through bare minimum features. This app is not only effective, fun, & offline, on both free & paid versions, but is also just a one time payment to upgrade to premium features, thankyou for that Sam & Luca 😀😀😀
one of the reviewers said that the app is good, because it's free and it doesn't push you to buy a premium version. It's a lie. When I got sick of 'perpetual offers' to download a premium version, I did it; however, it didn't really help much. now, they are trying to push something else on me. Their neverending offers interfere with learning and affect efficiency of the time used.
I am using this app for 1 and a half year already and I am absolutely amazed by that App. It really stays in your mind with the repetition method and they give you overall feedback on optimizing your learning in general. Is the option to import word tables only accessible with a mosalingua web abo? If you not just rely on the app bringing you the results but actively use this as a tool, you can reach far.
Learning through repetition is the concept behind this app. I am currently using this app to assist me in my spanish learning journey, but I started with Duolingo. Although I learned a lot with duolingo, I am finding myself learning more at a faster pace. I am also noticing that my pronunciation is also improving. Thus far, I have had no issues with the app, and I am really enjoying it.
I have been using this app. for over 3 years. I've learnt 8000 flashcards with it do far and can say that it has been a great app to learn with. The positives: paid app about 3700 cards (Duo Lingo only 1500) good mix of words and sentences so gives you a rich vocab. Spanish and L.American vocab marked. You can progress rapidly using great simple interface. Can use the app offline. Spanish grammar pack is great. Issue with the packs is being able to pick next pack to learn if you buy all at once!
The best app to learn languages. I have tried many other apps before but I gave up. Mosalingua gives me the right pace. It is also an enjoyable learning method. The app is well designed. A lot of information is giving between lessons. I have upgraded to the premium version to create my own flashcards.
Have tried Duolingo and several other apps, but I really have faith in the science behind this. It has been 11 days, so we will see if I can really retain that long term memory. Awesome so far, just feel like the design of the interface is slightly outdated or could be more sleek.
I’ve checked about a dozen of the free Spanish leaning apps. Some of them are just vocabulary with very few phrases, some had a list off all countries in the world (why would I want that?), and other are strictly Castilian Spanish, yet other charge you monthly fee. I was happy to find Mosalingua. I like the design and the layout. I tried it for several days and then without hesitation bought the Premium version (I don’t usually use paid apps). I have been using Mosalingua now for about two weeks, 15 min in the morning, and I learned 49 flash cards so far. Things I like about the app: 1. One payment of $4.99 covers the lifetime use (no monthly payments) 2. OFFLINE use (a big plus for me) 3. Clear indication as to which Spanish is used: Spain or Latin America 4. Ability to add my own flash cards. Once I come across a useful phrase (in the SpanishDict or some other place), I create my own card. You can also set a difficulty level for this card. 5. Notifications from the app are about one per day (unlike some other apps used to send me them every hour) 6. 16 categories All in all, it is a very well designed app that helps me to learn Spanish
Mosalingua is definitely one of the best app to learn a language.Spaced repetition is simply magic and I use it all the time. What is even better is all the tips that are given to you in the app or by mail to get the maximum out of your learning.Mosalingua should be considered an investment, and a few euros will get you 1~2 years of learning.I recommend it to everyone I know.
8/20/2019 I had life get in the way and I learned more words than i was able to review. I contacted the company to restart my apps progress over and they weren't able to do so. They were helpful and tried several different ways to help me to be avail, so now I'm stuck with another spanish app I don't use which is unfortunate because I liked this app. 9/20/2019: The tech team was able to help me so I can use this app again. It's the best language learning out there in my opinion!
Please fix the hands-free part of the app. I drive for work and have a great deal of time to review vocab, so I need the hands-free section to be spot on. So far, this section forces me to review stuff that I mastered weeks ago, and none of the stuff that needs to be reviewed now. Make this more adaptable, or give us the ability to preload the hands free sequence, and you'll have 5 stars from me. Thanks.
Got this on a free sale. Thought it would be a waste of time. Pleasantly surprised to find a complex and well thought out app. Learning words faster than ever before. Mom just paid 100 bucks for a Duolingo membership and I don't think it's any better than this. Perhaps even buggier. Hope they add more languages. Would love Mandarin..
Liking it so far. Seems good for learning basic words and simple phrases mainly through repetition to begin with. Looks like you make it as difficult or easy as you want and learn at your own pace. Think I'll stick with it.
Application is great, heaving the progress just in a month of lessons. I started to talk with people on the streets in Barcelona using phrases from app. very efficient methodology plus good technical support (had a small issue that was solved in 2 hours).
Great learning experience. You still have to learn the words but it's pretty fun :) One thing that would improve my time with the app is to have the sentences on the bottom of the picture so I can play the sound easier.
I love this app. I didn't have room in my schedule for Spanish III but wanted to continue learning and expanding my vocabulary. I appreciate that I can hear the words spoken as I learn and I love the hands free mode. I'm able to set my tablet next to me at work or in the car and practice even when I am busy.
Great but some issues: sound problems with English words in "hands free" (so bad I can't use that function) and just now i had a Spanish word with garbled pronunciation. Has been long reported but no replies. I'm over 200 words into the flashcards.
I feel that I have finally found the right language learning app that will help me learn quickly and easily. Yes I think it is great. The system that mosa lingua uses has already shown promise after a few flashcards. I love it.
Great method of learning - this app forces you to test your vocabulary and pronunciation ebery time you look at flashcards. So the learning is a lot more active rather than passive. Very motivating and I'm certain I will speak more fluently soon!
Great for quick, easy learning. Excellent, clear pronunciation and very helpful for learning new words. Love the dialogues - great for improving your listening skills.
This app does have positives. It is relatively good. But there are so many slides where the audio doesn't match the slide or the person reading the audio does not say the pronoun that is on the slide. For example the audio might say Postre but the card will read El Postre. This is confusing for people who want to know when and when not to use a pronoun in Spanish. When I send a message informing them of an error, all i get is thanks, we will fix it on the next update but its rare if they ever do
