Enjoyed the free version so bought the 29 levels. Was looking forward to the back and forth 'conversations' with the app but they are few and far between. Also the voice recognition is terrible and frustrating. There are also a number of grammatical errors that should not be present in a language learning app. I do enjoy the daily word practice notifications - even though the words are easy, it gets me into the app everyday, keeping me accountable for my practice.
I love it!! I learn so fast. Sad to say, but I almost like it even more than Duolingo so far. It's like an evolved version. Because Duolingo lessons ask you to /either/ speak or type a response. But with this app you can do both at once! At your own pace whenever it is giving the option. And then to add, it gives you brief notes describing differences between common words/phrases that can be hard to decipher, Duolingo doesn't offer notes in the midst of a lesson. Note taking is just as useful as repeating what you hear!! I always believe it's important to /understand/ what you're speaking in another language not just repeating words and trying to memorize it that way. Understanding the basics will make you more i independent in forming your own sentences and communications with people. Also I REALLY hope that soon there will be more languages with this app like Japanese, Korean, Russian, Swedish, Arabic and more! Thank you for this awesome experience!!
It's okay, the chatbot and the lessons are helpful, however only the first 4 levels are free. It costs $11.98 to unlock the next 5 levels and more to unlock the levels after that. I wish that they would at least say that the full app is behind a paywall in the description; the app was good but, I don't think that it'd be worth that price honestly...
A lot of English usage, speech detection isnt great, no organized set of verbs and their respective conjugations, no way to skip parts you may already know other than missing the entire session, when learning numbers they missed a great opportunity to help you "think" in Spanish. For example, if it asks you what trece is, the options will write out in English "eleven, seventeen, thirteen, ten" instead of "11, 17, 13, 10". Fluency comes from thinking in that language, not constantly translating.
I'm learning more with this app than anything else I've looked into. It's rewarding because you get examples to ensure you're saying things correctly, you get points when you get it right and chances to relearn what you couldn't grasp. Ohhh best part is that every word that sounds the same is broken down and explained to you the differences and scenarios of with to use them. Pretty awesome 👌
It would be a useful app if they could fix the sound detection problem. It's not very useful if it can't detect your sound. It gets annoying after you have tried multiple times speaking to the mic and still get the message saying that it can't hear you properly. I would not recommend it to anyone, people don't deserve this frustration from this app and certainly no need to waste the money like I did on this app.
Good app, it just needs polished. I honestly think it rivals Duolingo in terms of being interactive and easy to understand, but it goes very very fast and even I found it speedy, even though I've been studying spanish for 2-3 years now. If the app looked a little prettier and it could slow down a bit, I feel like it could be very successful.
It sounds like i am learning a Mexican version of spanish when i really wanted Cuban or Puerto Rican. There are big differences but it definitely is a great format and i am learning so much. Please make different versions of spanish in the near future. No apps have different versions and if it is added I believe this app would take off like a jet. Thanks for your help. Love it!
This is a beautifully done app with a well thought out progression. It won't resemble the flashy gamified apps but looks to be far more geared toward gentle natural learning with a nicely done chat practice. There are mote grammar explanations that come up at the apropriate time than some of the immersion apps which is appreciated, and it keeps you engaged. There's quite a bit of material in the free levels and no ads sp you can try it out without annoyances
I have to be honest: even after reading the reviews I had still been sceptical about the app's functionality and whether it's actually good. Upon downloading and using it though, I have to say I'm really loving how the developers made the app. It's very simple to use and unlike duolingo which I had been on and off with for a year now without much progress, I actually understand the basics of Spanish grammar and not just different words here and there! I highly recommend for you to give it a try.
It expects you to guess what response is required to conversational questions. Very frustrating when it tries to 'correct' a word that is not part of your answer. I'm deleting, but other folks may find it worth the frustrations.
Just started and it's really fun. I really like the voice recognition so it helps with pronunciation and such. Just wish it was a little more structured. Like starting with how to count and so on but it's a really good app to say the least. I will prob me investing money into the hardest levels once I get there.
I have tried a dozen free spanish learning apps and this one is great. no ads. no bs. most important, its very easy to learn this way. I love this app. Some ppl have balls to complain that only 4-5 first levels are free and you have to pay a lil for the rest. they want it all free and with no ads. Silly
So far so good. Like the variety of questions and the approach. Like the tidbits of grammar insights added. The longish 'bells' for each answer gets old. Will look for setting to hopefully turn off.
Great app. Ive been learning spanish for 10+ years and just having the most básicamente conjunctions there and groinded as an intro, without as etc has allowed me to understand things fundamentally that I never have before! Better than domingo!
Ests es genial!!!! I am enjoying this app very much, and the pace with exercises really help you retain what you have learned. P.S. masculine and feminine can be frustrating but eventually it starts making sense.
I just purchased the intermediate/advanced levels last night and I'm on level 6. Mostly nouns and present tense verbs I already know but I am really looking forward to more advanced interactive conversations that will help me feel better equipped in the real world. I hope this app can make me conversationally adept at Spanish.
Easy to use, just wish there were a version that could be used for my Chromebook. The apps ads are not intrusive. The mic to speak into assists with the knowledge obtained. I enjoy this app and would recommend it for others to use. I wish it were free.
It's great and challenging, makes you feel like you are learning and sharpening your brain at the same time. I use it with the Bussu app and both these apps are why I no longer use Duolingo.
Nice app. Very informative, informational and interactive. Be prepared to spend the time and effort with this app. There's a lot of information to grasp. But I like the fact it works on reading, hearing and speaking español simultaneously. Also gives daily notifications to remind me to practice. So far, so good. 😁
This app is great I probably installed about 10 and unstall them. I really like this one I don't know if I'm going to be able to learn Spanish but it would probably be an app like this that would help me. Whoever did this worked really hard on it. The app explains words that have two meanings give it a try this is the best one I've downloaded. You won't be sorry. It goes over important words that are used a lot. Not stuff like.. que es en orange? Me no importa....There is no unnecessary stuff.
It is better than duolingo in terms of introducing you to different forms of the same verb, commonly confused spanish words, etc. However, the microphone feature doesn't work properly. It accepts yout answer no matter what you speak.
I love this app because of the recorded dialogue. I have difficulty hearing words and phrases when I am in Spanish speaking countries. The more practice I get at listening to the spoken language the easier it is for me to communicate when I am traveling. I find that I am less panicked because I am more familiar with expressions . So I am better able to concentrate on my response rather than focus on translating what I just heard. I love it!
It's a good app, especially for beginners. I wish it provided more challenges. The challenges are very engaging. I also wish it didn't get to the mandatory payment settings so quickly.
This application is really useful than any other applications and best for learning basic of the language and I learned a lot than I expected!! Also introduce grammar, vocabulary, English-Spanish vocabulary. Please also introduce same application for other languages also. Very nice application it is.😍😍😍😍😍
Best spanish learning app ever💖. It gives explanation and it makes learning easier. I am an absolute beginner and i have only used the app for two days but i have already picked some spanish phrases and sentences. If you are looking for the best spanish learning app, then look no further. Download this app right away and enjoy.
I really like this app! It teaches vocabulary in context by taking me through a story that continues in parts between the lessons. It also prompts me to answer questions in Spanish which really helps me with a major weak point (making my own sentences). It's got other cool features too. Glad I downloaded it!
