So I bought the full version, and it has the potential to be excellent. However, it is full of bugs, which makes it impossible to progress. On one of the exercises if you sing before pressing the record button it freezes, so you have to go back and lose your progress. When it asks for two notes in succession and you sing them it reverses their order, freezes, and you have to go back and lose your progress. Other times it just crashes, and you lose your progress. Not worth the £6 something.
I really wanted to like this app. I felt like $7 was very reasonable for a year subscription, but once everything was unlocked, I realized why it was so cheap. The 'full' version still feels like a demo. This app hasn't been updated in nearly 3 years and it is very buggy. My app freezes after every lesson, which is what I came for in the first place. The lessons also don't really teach you anything, just pitch matching that I could do with my guitar tuner app. I'm a bit disappointed. My favorite part of the app was the songs feature, but there are only 3 songs preloaded, and as I said before, I doubt it will ever get updated. Overall, waste of $7, and a waste of potential for an app that is perfect in concept but lacking in execution. I'm not sure how the ratings are where they are. I have a feeling the ratings were paid for.
It's hard to rate this app. The one thing that's great is teaching you to sing in key with the warm-ups. That's the main reason I got this. So that's why I gave it 4 stars. Unfortunately there are many aspects I don't like... The training program is very slow the tines take longer than they should and there's a delay before you can do the next task (selecting the notes, checking the answers, etc). The songs available make no sense, there are only 5 old timey songs. It says "more coming".
I had a paid subscription while using this app on my Samsung S7. I recently switched to a Huawei P30. When I installed the app on my phone it no longer works. When I try to go into the warm up menu or songs menu I receive an error message . When I hit the report error button, that doesn't work either. If you can get it to work it's a great app, but I had to change my review following this debacle. Support email doesn't work either.
I haven't used to this app to its full experience yet but after paying the $8 for the lessons I have to say it's not very intuitive. When you're trying to hit certain notes Sometimes the program will completely miss hear you and fail the lesson.. And there's no way to try again you have to start the lesson over. Other than that the program has been very useful and I hope to continue using it to advance my voice but so far could really use a lot of fine tuning because it's not good for feedback
I have not found any other app that gives such a good feedback of your singing for free. For years I was practicing notes. But without any improvements. Now with the direct feedback I am making wonderful progress. Thanks a lot. I love this app. I wish there should be notes of lower octave, in descending order from middle C note, to practice with.
Good practice, but not perfect. Mainly, i wish there was a setting to silence notifications while using the app. Because they will throw it off. Also, when i sing the low c it always jumps to the high B- a note that i can't even sing well. What gives? Otherwise i really enjoy the vocal range feature and i wish there were more games or features centered around that. I also wish there was a way to connect to streaming services so that i could sing music that i really love.
I really enjoy this app even though it has it's kinks. I wish the scales would go higher and lower than what's currently available as I have a pretty diverse scale. Also the microphone picks up late so you might need something to fix the latency issues in the app. Other than that the exercise are fantastic
This is an addition to what I wrote a few minitues ago. I am not changing the number, and want to add that the innability to adjust the volume from maximum before the exercise starts playing is iritating. I have learned to hit play with my finger on the volume down so that it does nnot hurt my ears. I am still very happy about having a way to improve pitch accuracy.
Honestly, It's like I'm playing a video game with my voice as the controller. I've only been messing with this for a few minutes and I can already tell I'm gonna get the hang of singing really well if I stick at this a few months. I also noticed if I close my eyes and try to sync my voice it trains my ears to sync to the tones. 😉😁 Never imagined there could be such a useful app for singing!
It works great except if you dont have head phones. and it's good to know your pitch. I used to always be off on my notes and this has helped me with that. also I would recommend making it to where it can read songs that we have on our devices and put the notes into the app so we know if our pitch and notes match with the song.
well it's hard to rate it fairly when no matter what I click, it crashes. I can do the vocal range test, but if I back out to the main menu it crashes. Clicking on anything but the vocal range test crashes the app. Using a Google Pixel XL 2 with the newest updates as of the date of posting this. Would really like to try this is the issue is fixed at some point.
I can't say too much yet since I'm new to the app, but as someone who likes to sing but has never known...you know....if I sounded remotely okay, it's nice to see a visual representation of my own notes and get a better sense of what my range is. I will say, at least at the free version I'm looking at there are very few songs.
It could be great but they missed the mark. The technology works well; seeing your pitch is useful. They need to allow the singer to tailor the exercises to their own vocal range. Many of the exercises are pitched too low or too high to sing. It's like it was written by people who don't understand the human voice. I see they released the first update in three years but it didn't fix the fundamental flaw.
Only three songs to sing?? Amazing Grace, Greensleeves, and Aura Lea. Also couldn't figure out how to get to the "free" training without paying for the annual access. I do like the layout of the training and the exercises. Hopefully I'll remember to revise my review when new songs become available!
Great warm ups, great training program (cheap too). Not many songs with words from them at the moment, but it accesses music on your phone and you can sing along to that if you know the words which is amazing. Would prefer that the keyboard was labelled with notes, and hopefully the singing will be presented on staves so you can learn to read music too
It's a cool app, and I appreciate that it's free; however, the piano note plays separately from the detection, it plays after you were supposed to sing it. If the developers could fix this, that would be amazing 😁 I can understand how hard making an app like this would be, though.
This thing wants me to rate it at startup BECAUSE I just want to sing something other than "Amazing Grace". 1 star for the nagging and I'm uninstalling as no other songs whatsoever load. Sorry guys, I don't care about "Amazing Grace" and I don't intend to "practice" it to get other songs. I get that your target is most likely US people, but get something for other countries as well. Like, simple popular pop songs. Evergreens if you will. Just anything else.
Not productive. Even if you let it record your vocal range, even the easiest warm up exercise is outside that range. So is even the easiest training lesson (which you have to pay for). Also I didn't hit a single note anywhere near correctly in the most basic lesson and it gave me a score of 8/15 and a "congratulations" and a suggestion to go up to the next level lesson which is ridiculous and it offered zero feedback and zero advise about how to hit a note or get closer to a note. Complete waste
This is a very great app . the reason I only give 1 star is that first there are too many ads like you only stay 10 minutes on the app and you pass trought 20 ads. Second it bugs too much. When I enter the game or push me out what is that!fix it please do I can give it 5 stars. third there is this training program that you have to pay for it it's just a wayst of time too much money for nothing. And lastly there is not a big choice of songs and they are too short so go ever made this app fix it!
My experience singing has always been enhanced by this wonderful, easy to use app. I studied privately for around 3 1/2 years learning the old world traditional Bel Canto School of Opera Classical. This app helped me to break away from the strict discipline of that old or ancient school and is helping me to learn new ways of utilizing my instrument.
Absolutely useless, the dot that's supposed to show you where your pitch is compared to where it's supposed to be just stays in the same spot even if I change my pitch (I'm a vocalist, I use these apps more like a game than an actual coach). Not to mention the fact that you have to pay for pretty much everything. Nobody is going to waste money on garbage like this. Just because it looks fancy doesn't mean it works.
my experience of this app is pretty cool but to get your own songs we have to rate what this app is like (well it does for me if it doesn't for you) I put 4 stars because it does warm ups it does voice stretches (so basically, exercising your voice) and you can choose your own songs. The only thing that let me down was that I had to rate this app what I wanted to do so if I wanted to... sing treat you better then I would have to rate this app bit overall it's a good app so it is worth the wait 😄
So so good. It tells when it high pitched and low pitched. The only problem is that on my other device, l wanted more songs, and it said that there will be more song, but 5 days after there were the same songs. There wasn't more songs. Also when l sent them a gmail of want songs l want to sing, 2 days after the songs were not there, and it was frustrating and that is why l am rating it only a 3. No more higher than 3, or no more less than 3. That's my comment on the app, the goods, and the bads.
Great app! Gets you doing little exercises and improving pitch day by day EDIT: I now have a new Android phone (Fairphone 4) and have moved the app across, and now the microphone doesnt pick up anything other than the vocal range part so I cannot use the training program or any of the warm ups or anything. Now the £20 I paid for it seems a bit steep - I have checked the microphone is permitted in settings and tried reinstalling. any recommendations to get it working again appreciated
