Excellent app for learning languages. They have a great deal on a lifetime membership to learn all languages they offer for a lifetime at the same price as a one-year membership.
It looks like you are going in the right direction with the review option, that kinda does what I want. The app itself is high quality, and I understand the need for paid content and ads to sustain it, but at least give us the option to revisit already done daily lessons. This limitation is game-breaking for me; I hope you will reconsider this option. Until then, wishing you luck.
The lesson is a good idea, but the emotional feedback from the little face in the corner can be a bit disturbing, and unnecessary, considering i am aware of my level of progress. I prefer duolingo, the feedback is more positive, and encouraging, to affect progress.
It's a good app for learning Ukrainian. There's one slight problem though. When learning how to say 'my name is' or 'what is your name?', there is a mispronounciation of the word zvaty. The instructor always says zavoot, and not zvaty. I have watched videos and they always say "mene zvaty" or yak tebe zvaty" not "mene zavoot" or "yak tebe zavoot". Zavoot is a Russian word, not a Ukrainian word. Still a good learning app, even though you have to pay a subscription fee.
Very accessible way to learn Ukranian. I appreciate the use of Audio, Phonetic spelling (not in Cyrillic at least not yet), and the repetition to master words and phrases. I also like the microphone option, where you're graded on pronunciation. I think this app, coupled with a workbook, will have me ready to revisit Kyiv before my goal.
Throwing too much at a person very quickly and not even teach any basics how the language works. Leaving important tools to know about language's rules of the alphabet, grammar, different forms of words. Also complex words in the very first lessons, when should start out simple to get a feel how things are sounding. This whole app in my opinion is the deep end of the pool. If someone already knows some Ukrainian language they probably will do fine
this app is easy to use and helps develop verbal skill over time. It doesn't focus on the writen side of a language, just the spoken side. This is good for traveling and short term stuff.
Best app for learning language, but one fault there should also be a payment option to unlock one language or many with one time payment without monthly fee/yearly fee. I cannot subscribe for monthly or yearly fee, minus one star for that. please consider this. Dyakuyu😊
Mondly gives an interesting and a fun way to learn a new language with interactive images, audio feedback in the form of a game. I'm so glad to have this app rather than learn through a course or a trainer. Molodets'! Dyakuyu!
I grew up in the Ukrainian Village in Chicago all of my young life, but haven't used the language since I moved away nearly 20 years ago. I wanted a refresher and unfortunately, this app does not teach the language I spoke with my Baba and Dido who came to America from Ukriane in the 1960s. I'm very disappointed because I really enjoyed the format. As my Baba would say, mixing Russian is a modern tendency, but it's a disgrace to our heritage.
I am Afrikaans, buy it is pointless to set that as the language I speak because it is like Mondly used Google translate for Afrikaans. For example. An entrance was translated as a lobby. (German Eingang, Afrikaans Portaal instead of Ingang). And when you show a picture of a toilet do you meen the room or the actual toilet? Do you want the polite "bathroom" or the thing you sit on? When English is set as my spoken language then "I am" is not excepted and it tells me it must be "I'm". Realy?
Extremely helpful for learning the language! The repetition of phrases really assisted my knowledge when I visited Ukraine! Only downside is the gender usage as you can be marked down for the wrong endings even if you are female.
very well thought out language learning app. tackles words and phrases from different angles. Lots of repetition, which is good.
I give this app five stars not only for the fact the it is specifically for learning Ukrainian. But also it has the same characteristics of babbel that I enjoy. bBabble does not have Ukrainian but I find this to work out great for me learning a new language. Awesome job on the app keep up the great work.
I enjoy the program. It's the best I've found so far for Android. The progression is a little confusing sometimes, asking me things I cannot yet know. But that is somewhat like being immersed, so has its benefits.
I have no experience with other language apps. This is easy to use and seems to get right into the learning of the language in, for me, an intuitive manner.
I know Spanish in English, but now I have a new friend that speaks Ukraine and sometimes I feel like she left out when we speak English really fast in Spanish so I decided to learn a little bit of her language for her to feel more at home and this app just did that thank you a free app may have some fees if you want additional stuff like all apps but is easy to use and perfect
Its a very good application and learning tool, it could improve but so far so good!, so no complaints for the moment!, besides there are few resources to learn Ukrainian and this is one of them. So thank you very much for that!
In Advanced mode, female users who are already accustomed to using gender specific word formats, get their answers marked as incorrect! When starting intermediate & advanced mode, app should request user to designate user's gender. Then in Advanced mode, it should be forcing the user to differentiate!
it helps a lot more than most app, specifically because it make sure youbcan speak in a conversation and because it show (doesnt teach as far as i know) the verbs and conjunctions
The App is Good And very interactive. I think. They have started with words directly. But beginner's should be with all alphabet letter's or characters. So we can learn it first
Seems like it might be good. I don't like that it throws completely new words at you, and then scores you poorly when you can't guess the answer.😒
So far it's going well. Where there are multiple words for the same concept, it doesn't describe which one to use for a situation. Ex. Potribna, potriben, and potribnyy all mean "need a."
Very easy to use, very fun too
Good app, but when choosing the correct phrase, often I'm unable to tap and select anything.
I am learning Ukrainian and it is helping me communicate with a friend who does not know English in Ukraine. This is definitely a great app.
Well that's a big disappointment, it was working fine until I created an account now it keeps crashing. Can't even use it now.
Pryvit 😁 So far I enjoy the app, you will have to pay eventually to fully unlock this apps potential, very user friendly, and easy to use.
Love the app and it's easy to use. I wish the free trial was a little longer so I had a better idea before committing to purchasing.
