Excellent management game which is highly detailed and constantly updated. My only problem is the processing time despite lowering several divisions. I can't guarantee that it's the game in general as it may be the lack of storage on my phone so given 5 stars. Going to buy the full version as 1 year is not enough for such an addictive game. Well done developers.
Wonderful sim, deep, tactical and stimulating. Nuanced enough to keep me on my toes and wondering "what if?". Many, many variables to consider and not a thoughtless idle app. This app deserves a PC port (and a selfish part of me wants a portrait mode so i can play casually with one hand). Only small gripe was that there wasnt a game guide for tips on selecting a promising fighter. My guess is that just comes with experience. Overall great app. Many thanks to the lone developer!
Best boxing management game I've played. Perfectly simple and addictive in how you hire your fighters, train them up and then attempt to climb the rankings. The fight engine is the best part of the game, it has clearly been meticulously created by a developer who knows a lot about boxing. The trial allows you to play for one year only but by the end of that I personally couldn't resist buying the full version. Future updates promise to add more depth to what is already a great game.
Quite fun to watch them fight! Although exhibition mode is my favourite personal aspect of the game, I want to try out the main story mode without it crashing after every week, which is why I gave it 4 stars. Great nonetheless, just need to polish a few things! Some suggestions: -Allow us to add a little decription to our fighter (personality, appearance, gear, etc). -Implement an option where if a fighter get knocked down it, will set the game speed back to X1.
I'm an O.G. when it comes text based sports sims, and Leather (despite its flaws) is one of the best. It nearly has the depth of WEVL boxing (an old MMO browser game) but the GUI is designed in an intuitive, user friendly way. I'd recommend this game to any boxing or sports fighting fan.. the reason i give only 4 stars is because of some minor GUI issues, such as inability to delete saved games and some redundancy with menu clicking. Id love to see the engine adapted for other fight sports.
This is an extremley fun game and I plan on getting to full version shortly. My only suggestion would be to add a description of each stat within the player/boxer menu, most likely through clicking the stat (like clicking agility or hand speed would bring up a description of what it exactly does). If it exists I've yet to find it and if it doesn't currently exists I believe it would help people better make descisions when building up a characters stats. Also loading times. Overall gr8 game tho.
Good detailed sim, only downside is the app doesn't fit my phone screen properly (can't tell me what week I'm on). Also would be nice to get some interaction with fighters outside of training and booking fights. (for example having to comfort then after a painful loss or disciplining them after doing something stupid) other than that seems like a good game. Would love an mma version too 👍
Pretty good Sim. I'm not fully aware of boxing rules but this made it very easy and simple to understand. With contracts every time I offer a counteroffer they always deny so I just end up signing to the original offer. Also can I buy the premium version and have my free versions saved data carry over? I'd hate to restart.q Other then that, very happy with the game.
What an unbelievably amazing game this is it certainly needs more exposure as its the best boxing game on the play store. Clearly a huge amount of effort has been put into the intricacies of the fights and boxers by the developer and you'll struggle to find a game like this one anywhere. Being January just after Christmas I'll have to wait until February to afford the £3.99 for the full game however that doesn't stop me from rating it 5*. Well done guys/girls great job!
Got me to buy the full game. Seems to be an excellent sport management type game, very deep, with an excellent boxing simulation. One improvement I'd like to see is swipe left as an alternative to the back button. Would improve hooping in and out of submenus.
Absolutely amazing game! I'm happy for the developer to take my money for the full version. I've been replaying the old Goliath Games Boxing Manager recently and so came across this. Leather has a similar feel to basic a Football Manager, however there is a feeling of emotional intimacy with the fighters that I'm enjoying. The fights are genuinely exciting and thrilling to watch. I am very much looking forward to future updates and will be first in line to buy it when it appears on the PC
Awesome game, I jumped into the full version unaware there was this lite version aswell. Definitely a free trial sort of thing, and the full game is beyond worth the price tag. No ads, or in game purchases, made, maintained and regularly updated by a one man army, leather is the boxing simulator we've all been looking for.
I enjoyed what I played of the trial but I would not purchase the full game. Although it is sound in itself, it lacks real progression. I won every fight I played with little to no input aside from the first time I edited my game plan in my very first fight. (I used that game plan for the rest of the trial) Gym upgrades also do not feel impact full enough or come at regular enough intervals. None of the higher ranked opponents ever felt any more of a threat than the first few I fought either. Great effort in fairness but a boxing simply like this requires more to keep interest in my honest opinion.
This game is extremely well done, lots of options and depth without getting overly complicated. I must admit I didn't realize it was just a demo when downloading it but it lasted long enough that I felt like I got a good game's play out of it. I would RECOMMEND BUYING if this is your game style.
Its a great game, but why does it take so long to transition from week to week?? Even loading up a boxer takes about 5 seconds. I thought it was just my phone but I had my friends download it and same for them. Not worth buying when you can be stuck on the game for an hour from just simming a few weeks.
Brilliant. Proper tactical boxing game with very good knowledge of the art. Although the graphics aren't the best the depth of gameplay definitely makes up for this. Just a shame the trial is so short and u have to pay for the full game 😔
I play a lot of text based sports sims and this is one of the great ones on mobile. My only knock on the lite version is that you're not able to transfer your saves should you upgrade to the full version later.
Not gonna lie, this is a pretty fun game to mess around and kill time with. Might consider getting the full version. Kind of an irrelevent question im about to ask since there's really no character models or anything, but any thoughts of adding something akin to a "choose a gender" option, at least for exhibition? Some of the fantasy fights i think of include female fighters, and it kinda feels weird to me seeing a female being described as he/him. Maybe also include intergender fights as well.
I love the game so much! But i feel like having a limited time to play makes the whole experience worth nothing. I want to be able to see my boxers grow from a young untested boxer to a world champion. If you could remove the limited time, that would be awesome
I want to get the full version so I will definitely do it a great game. Reasons for five stars it gets the combat sport of boxing in all aspects evens though I don't watch nor follow the sport it's most definitely a good investment to but the game.
I thought I'd give this game a try. In my experience, boxing manager sims have been poor to this point. This game, however, is top notch. The detail behind the basic graphics is amazing. If you're going to buy 1 game for your phone, make it this one.
Best money I've spent on a game. It's not a game that's going to awe you with graphics, It will keep your mind engaged for hours on end just purely on its tactical style game play. The developer is very active, introducing new content regularly. He's always keeping updated on reddit (my main source of information), and will actually respond with complete honesty. If you have questions, suggestions or just need advice this game has a great community and developer.
I never ever buy games but after playing this i had to buy the full version. The potential for this game is huge, you can either focus on one fighter and fly through and have upto 20 and make it last a long time. Great game so far, really excited for the future of this game. Keep up the good work!
This game is like Football Manager but for boxing. Pre 3D match engine. The full version is definitely worth it. No ads in either version and micro transactions, aka a proper game!
I enjoyed playing this game . It is a good time waster. It's a shame that you cannot import save from lite game to paid game. Spent 1 day playing the game and all progress is lost. If you are planning on purchasing the paid game, don't spent too much time on lite version as you cannot copy your progress.
I think that it should be free but with ads. I will try to persuade my parents to buy it though cause I like these type of games. I feel that this one will be not just another awesome simulator on playmarket, but actually - on of a kind, cause it presses on being interesting, not just entertaining.
This has the core of a great boxing management game. With the given road map (adding financials) for the game, it can be one of the best. I may just get the full version. The addition of a proper gym upgrading system is something needed for the game. If there is one thing that would add to the experience, it would be some way to visualize the boxers. May be a simple face system like the one in MMA Manager.
