Lectio 365

I am having problems too so I uninstalled the app & now I can’t reinstall it on my ipad. It keeps telling me that it is installed but no icon to open it. Very frustrating. Fortunately I can still get it on my phone but not so convenient. I find the sessions really helpful & often thought provoking. Thank you.

This app is a great way to pray and meditate on scripture. The mindfulness style and unhurried pace are very relaxing. The guided prayer and daily themes are thoughtful and meaningful. I like that you can listen and also read at your own pace if you prefer.

Excellent app. Have been enjoying flawless performance up until having recently upgraded my phone to a Pixel 6. Now stream (on WiFi) suffers fleeting interruption for a fraction of a second every 20 seconds or so. Losing the odd word as a result. I have no issue with any other streaming service. Have tried reinstall but issue persists? My previous pixel 4a was fine. And my ipad runs the app fine. Seems to be a device specific issue? Anyone else encountering similar?

The content is good but unfortunately my husband can't hear it well because of the background sounds - not sure why the music is needed. I don't want to be grumpy about this but it does seem a bit odd to have background sounds and music while people are talking. So sadly we had to give up on it. I know I have the option of reading it aloud but it would be helpful just to be able to listen. :)

Excellent app. The best guided prayer app I have ever used. Great thought and care goes into every daily meditation. Thank you! Edit: Revising to four stars. Please update the app to prevent the screen from turning off while the app is active. It's annoying to have to keep unlocking the phone after every prayer.

I love it! I wish u can add more modes of payment for donation. Also whenever I pray I'd love to still hear the music without the voice and then I can resume to play the voice after I pray. Its also great if we can download the devotionals in one go so I can listen to the devotionals on the go in case I miss one. Overall I love the app. Thanks devs 💖

Amazing. Was exploring apps and cane across Dwell... but was disappointed in the lack of focus notes... found this far more depthful and absolutely love the prayers

Used as a pattern for meeting with God/ prayer most days for a month+ in a busy schedule. Enormously helpful. Succinct. A profound start and finish to each day. Inspiration shared by a wonderful range of different voices, has helped me engage with God as they are engaging too. Beautifully done. Prayers (and worship) from a wide range of sources and times. Also loving the choice of theme and readings to reflect the season. Looking forward to what next. Keep sharing this with others. Thank you!

I've been using this app for a week. I found out about it through a YouVersion Bible devotional. Thank you. It's exactly what I needed. I enjoy hearing & communing with my brothers & sisters from other cultures & countries. I'm astounded at how much it invokes me to pray. I don't want to stop, but stay in that holy place of worship & reverence of God. May our great God & King prosper your ministry more & more in the days ahead.

Pretty good. It's nice to have a short backlist and ability to download for offline use. It needs a speed control, and back 20 seconds button, like most audio players. The inability to switch off the background music is annoying. But it's pretty good for free and no ads. Thanks to the team for developing and releasing this app, but don't stop improving.

I am experiencing a similar problem to another user of the app, as I have no text either. 😕 I can only seem to access the audio. I have have already uninstalled and reinstalled the app too. I am just going to try the same procedure again to see if it improves. I also have an Android phone, but it's a Sony, not a Samsung.... Disappointing and a bit frustrating too! 😩

Great app to start the day with. You can read the devotionals yourself or play them aloud. If you do play them out loud there is good spaces left to pause and reflect without having to jump for the pause button. It would be good if there was a 'download the week' option rather than having to download each day individually to play offline. Other than that no issues

Love this app...but I find it slightly less user friendly than I'd like. After opening the app you have to click through four options before you hear the daily devotion and in comparison to other apps that makes it a little clunky. Apart from that though the content is absolutely fantastic, it's a real comfort and encouragement every day. I have my favourite speakers, but I enjoy listening to them all. Such a wonderful gift to the world, thank you to the Lectio 365 team!

I don't find devotionals in general (hard copy or app) to give the teaching, guidance, or challenge that I expect when approaching Scripture. That said, Lectio 365 stands apart. Built on the Early Church Fathers' pattern of Lectio Divina, this app aims at spiritual transformation. It accomplishes that goal better than any printed resource I've encountered - paper or electronic. Practically, the design is beautiful, the UI is intuitive, further resources abound, and the audio is meditative.

I love the app. Night time devotions in particular. The reader occasionally deviates from the script, in one case last week referring to 'different people' omitting the word 'look' twice. Mildly irritating, as it changed the meaning. However, the app is a solid gold resource. I have trouble saving a particular devotion to my desktop from my phone, don't know whether this is my tech ignorance or the app's fault.

Was really glad to download this app. We have been going through the How To Prayer book & really getting so much from it, but... sadly I find the music annoying & on such a short loop. I saw that someone else asked if it could be turned off & the reply was no not at present. Oh please give us the option. Also the woman reading the verses, lovely Irish accent but oh the vocal fry. For me it is like fingernails scratching a chalk board. Would that I could overcome these two things, but I can't.

Simple UI and a clear path to engage the user right away. This app has replaced my other meditation and devotional apps for everyday use. Rich content and well thought out. I second other users asking for audio control integration (lock screen and notification area). Bonus if this could be integrated with Android Auto so I could use it in car mode.

After a week or so with Lectio 365, I find it to be a hugely meaningful devotional, packed into a user-friendly app. Two months of back catalogue, all downloadable, a like button for quick reference and now there's evening devotions too (that are super calming), it's intuitive and doesn't distract from what is most important, the impactful content. Thanks so much 24-7 team, keep it up, we appreciate!

Simply lovely. I've been following the Lord Jesus for 40 years, and I find this app gives me new thoughts even now. Only 10 minutes, very restful, very centering, very stimulating.

Was very happy with morning and evening devotions, however it has stopped working, no words on screen, l deleted and downloaded again but still not working.

App was working fine until today, April 1, 2022. The night prayer Lectio will not load or play. The morning lectio is working fine. Hopefully you can look into this.

Been a great blessing in building my prayer life. One possible improvement; I like using the audio function, it would be nice if it was possible to pause the spoken track, and maybe step it back. i.e. If you wanted dwell on a thought without stopping the music, or just to relisten to the scripture for instance.

I have loved using Lectio 365 every day for the past year and a half, but it has suddenly stopped working. It shows a blank page when I click on the Morning or Night selection. I have tried everything on my Android device to remedy the situation. I hope the bug can be fixed.

This app links you with Christians who have a heart for helping others in their Christian journey. Prayer, readings and reflections on scripture have supported my faith journey, especially in their response during lock down. You can download to listen off line if required. Have recommended this to SO many people, who in turn find it very helpful.
