Updating my review: Although I've had some problems with this app in the past, they've regularly come out with updates and fixes. I saw the new discovery section they added and I'm excited about that. Keep going with the updates supporting more cryptos, Ledger. It's what makes your device stand out among your competitors. Update: Loving the new look and features. Ledger out-did itself this time!
I own 2x NanoX wallets and been using them for around 2 years now, all I can say its getting worse by the day. Simply put its just a BAD product. Also BEWARE for the build in coin swap, I've used it and the fee it said was supposed to be around $4, however I was charged over $11. Im thinking of ditching this bad product
After the last update. I lowered my rating to 2 stars. Super laggy. Doesnt load properly. Balances are old as hell. My wifi is perfect and there are no connectivity issues. Please fix.
Even after the recent UI update there is still a lot of screen wastage. The row of ugly purple buttons is redundant when the big white arrow jewel at the bottom serves the same purpose (and looks more sophisticated).
When I initially installed this app and connected my new nano x a year ago it was awesome and a breeze. I just recently purchased a new phone, when I try to connect my device to ledger live I am getting a notification that I need the app to connect Bluetooth although the device shows connected. I am lost and don't know what to do. Ledger live will not set up past the pairing device section. HELP!! 😠Update: Thank you very much for your reply. I fixed the problem. Working great now!!
Not impressed at all. There are no directions for setup. They just give you commands but no help when it doesn't work. I'm a network engineer and I've no idea what or why its not working. Started over 3x only to end up in same place and having wasted 2hrs on this setup. The support docs are just excerpts with your search word in them. I'm a micro second away from sending it back and going with another company.
Personally, I really don't like the new design. Bring back the feature to see my portfolio changes during periods of days, weeks or All. EDIT: Its fixes. Happy to see Ledger acctually cares about feedback
I spent $150 for the Nano X and I've spent countless hours trying to connect to the Ledger Live app. It will not connect with Bluetooth or direct connecting with a USB cable. In half a day's time, I connected once with bluetooth, but it won't allow apps to be installed. So far I rate this Nano X as a one star, as it looks nice, is small, but not worth 10 cents if you can't download apps or connect in less than five minutes. Extremely frustrating! UPDATE TO MY REVIEW After two days of updates, downloads, resets, reboots, I finally was connected via USB. Once connected, it was breeze to create accounts for various assets. I have yet to move cryptos to or from, but that is the next step. I have increased from one star to three as I like the finished setup. If I successfully move and send/receive cryptos, I'll update my review again. BT
Ledger Team is prioritizing commissions over the user experience. The most recent update is an absolute travesty for the mobile app. Removed great features, tucked away important data behind multiple screens/taps, and made the 'buy crypto through Ledger' more prominent - got to get those juicy fees am I right? They are choosing their greed over the consumer experience. Look elsewhere for your crypto wallet. Edit: Home screen has been fixed.
I do not like the interface. The graph is gone the asset price is gone on the home page. To many button pushes to get needed data. It has the feel of an app designed by a kid. I wish I could go back to the last version.
Overall great experience with Ledger Live and Nano X. The only real improvement I can think of and would really like is a use fingerprint to unlock the app versus a password. That would be great if that could be added.
Update 3/May/2022. Please bring back the old home screen. The ticker is nice, but should be it's own tab. The account tab should be just my accounts, chart etc. Update 29/March/2022. Application has been running smoothly since reinstalling today. App opens consistently every time. Fingers crossed this continues.
This wallet app is ok... But it lacks the all important native dApp browser/launcher. This wallet doesn't handle bnb well. Would be nice if I could see the tokens naturally on the home page without the need to tap on the asset first. I have SAFUU tokens... Why do I need to see bnb first? Look at TrustWallet... That is the model to follow!
Latest update crashes on my phone. It's practically useless and I have a note 20. What gives? Recently updated to the new App. Good news, it no longer crashes. Bad news still won't update my accounts. Again, what gives?
This new update is more around buying than managing. It shouldn't take 3 screens just to see my transactions which are under "Analytics". Please go back to the original design where everything is on the main screen. Terrible product decision.
Ok I guess. Probably end up using the desktop version. Can't buy crypto in New York through their partner app, coinify. Don't like the new setup. Can't see week, month or year profit or loss anymore.
Overall, the app works fine. The app opens each time showing all details without a password option. A password option that can be turned on and off should be added. Before I used the app, I updated the X device firmware and software to the latest version and made sure the Desktop Ledger Live was up to date. The app synced and the same balance shows on the phone app and the desktop.
Thankfully, V3.1.1 restored the UI so that useful portfolio info is back in the wallet and market info is once again outside the wallet tab. Kudos to Ledger developers for hearing the community complaints about the V3.0.8 UI changes and quickly addressing them!
Can't connect to my android Samsung phone at all. But connected to my PC perfectly. Using original ledger otg kit. Last version ledger, apps and my phone ect. Was trying other phones. The same result. Did reboots ect.
New update of design is setback... it reminds some cheap advertisement or scam apps. More inconvenient than before, less informative, synchronization issues. Looks like developers decided to monetizer the app deeper that they can do wothout annoying clients.
Update: Reduced crashes with update for ledger. Crashes all the time and then I have to uninstall then reinstall. Then I have to add in all my accounts again individually. Total waste of time. Get this fixed asap. Note 8. Update: I am now using a note 9 and I am still experiencing the same issues just not as often.
Good app but I personally don't like the new interface. I found the old one much better. You could have added the additional functionality and keep the same look.
Massive API issues with cosmos, cardano, dash and a lot of other cryptos and pretty disappointed with the UI/UX programming for troubleshooting. I try to import/export my accounts and end up with a bugged account that anytime I open it force closes the ledger live app. I had issues on my PC and new phone but another laptop works and so does my older phone. Otherwise, I've used this for 3 years without any issues really other than current ones.
I've just bought one of these and just reading the comments I'm regretting my decision already. The website looked great, never thought to check the app comments. I hope when I receive it in the mail all these problems are sorted out. 3 stars will go up or down. I hope up. Sort it out Ledger. I'm expecting good things.
I have just received Nano X. On my OnePlus - 9Pro 5G and Samsung Galaxy S 22 Ultra Bluetooth does not connect. I connected via cable. Transactions are sent and received but the swap failed over and over and over again.
I just love this UI, it's so clean! Connects easily to my ledger hardware wallet, easy enough to use and everything is in one place.
I bought backup bundle ledger nano s and ledger nano x. I have problem with ledger nano x. Try all I know, I am a technical person and try all and everything I can. No luck. I asked ledger live help and now they are saying send video or or something for prove it's bad. What a waste of time, I already wasted days trying to fix myself. Now another video for prove its bad??? No way
I purchased the Nano S after comparing other 'cold' wallets and I must say I'm very pleased! This was my first time using this type of product and I must say the setup was extremely simple indeed! Transferring was easier than falling out of bed lol. The interface is very user friendly and I love the fact that I can perform any transactions safely and securely! Nice app!!!
