Leeloo AAC - Autism Speech App for Non-Verbals

I like this app and mainly use the text to speech portion of it, but because of that I wish there was a way you could turn off the "Hello [name]" when you open the app because if I'm trying to talk to someone it just seems like I'm saying hi to myself which is weird. I also know it might be a long shot but it would be nice if there were different voice options and speed options. ^^

It has many good choices and you can even make your own! I love this app so much but I have just one problem so I really hope you guys are this, the voice, I love the voice so many great options and different pitches. The only problem is it says things so fast that nobody can understand what I'm trying to say. If you could add speed options or make it speak at a slower pace I would definitely put it at 5 stars.

great app !! although i think all of the packs of cards within the app should be free. half of the packs you have to get a premium plan and that you have to pay for. in my opinion, in this case, it would be easier to use text to speech. other than that, this is a great app !!! beautifully put together, very easy to find and use things, especially the cards. very simple and easy on the eyes.

Installed and paid for a monthly subscription yesterday and I cancelled my subscription today. Very disappointed. It could be helpful, but it takes so many taps to make it play a sentence one time. plus the tempo it is so fast and the voice is so robotic that I don't see how children with cognitive and developmental challenges can find it beneficial for their learning needs. don't waste your money. Very upsetting because before I paid the subscription it worked fine.

Some of the premium packs are odd in what phrases they include or don't include. I started a one month subscription because another review said you can make you own cards and that is a high priority feature for us. I couldn't find any way to do it though and it doesn't seem like pack reordering is actually enabled either. That said, we line the images used for this. I love that there are some built in choices for phrases on a subject. The organization, favorites, and search are all helpful.

This app requires Google Text To Speech for the voice speech to work. I am taking off 1 star as no guidance was given. Also, you have spelt 'continue' incorrectly in the UK setup process. The app has icons and words that are categorised well, especially for normal daily use. Voice speech will say the word. Well designed and easy to follow. Simple and brilliant app.

I use this for my anxiety it works really good I just wish there was an option to by each set of cards separately. Also I've noticed a few people have mentioned a text to spech feature. That would be an awesome add on. I would use that feature a lot.

**EDIT/UPDATE** Optimistic about the response from the developer! Will see how it goes with the next update because this app stood out from the others in ease of use.------Appalling that the *medical* cards, which would be vital in emergencies, are locked behind a monthly subscription. Predatory choice from an otherwise lovely, easy to use, app. No option to delete account. So disappointed.

Seems very well made, cute style and would probably work well for simple interactions.. but really needs a button on the home page to manually type things to be read, and some ability to save custom phrases as favorites. Even if some of this might premium features.

Totally love the concept and the ease of use. I could not find any form of limitation in the app except maybe the graphics can be improved upon. I totally love the fact that this is ad-free. It will give room for more pleasant users experience. Deserving of 4 stars.

actually i like animation art very much. that's why i was very impressed with user interface and the animation every section you click. it has a lot,s of daily useful English sentience you need to know.... and also it will be very usefull to you when you don,t know how to speak English , you could learn from this app..😍😍 overall it,s a very fantastic app 🥰🥰

this is a great app, but every few minutes of using it, i find no voice comes out. when i go into settings, it tells me there are no drivers installed on my device for the language i'm using (english), but my drivers are updated and i haven't changed the settings since it was working. text to speech works fine on other apps so i know the problem is not with my device. please either tell me how to fix this or sort out this problem.

Where are the settings? User cant add their own choice of words. I was hoping the type function could be used to save phrases. What is wrong with these developers. The UI looks user freindly, but the app offers too few editable options. Dissapointing

This all would work wonderfully for kids/adults who can read or remember what the pictures and phrases are. It doesn't work great for my preschooler since he doesn't understand the photos without explaination (which he forgets during meltdowns). There are lots of free packs that serve well for basic daily needs or feelings. Otherwise, you have to pay $12+ a month for other packs.

The app looks like it could be useful, but it takes at least 5 rapid taps for the app to respond to the touch on the icon. A 4yo isn't going to have the patience or skill for that yet. It would be nice of another voice could be downloaded besides siri. Should be comparable with phones.

Very useful apps. Kids can learn basic English language. It will help them improve their communication. I would suggest more options to add some words the parents wanted them to learn. Overall, the app was good.

I am 18 and when looking for an AAC leelo was Perfect in that it wasn't intimidating and the free packs were very inclusive for my everyday needs. However. I wish when clicking on an action it didn't read it out and only read out the sentence i need. I was suprised there was no option to turn that off but i understand this app is not really meant for mute adults. I enjoyed the app but i no longer use it because of this.

The app has great user interface, very pleasing to the eyes. The concept of learning to speak is really helpful because of the clear voice and pronunciation. Kudos!!!

App is good. App team is helpful. I told them that I had sensory issues with the vibrations on button presses and now they are going to add a setting to disable it. Great people

Although it's nice to have a slum of words to choose from and subcategories within the words I don't think this app will work for my 2yr old. Nice app though. It does have too many subcategories under the words though but very well done app.

As an autistic teenager, this is one of the best aac apps that doesn't have a paywall to make it inaccessible. it would be really nice if there was a feature to write and save your own phrases/words that don't show up in the card packs

I haven't been able to figure out how to customize this... but it's a great start! live the interface which is very user friendly. Please add the ability to add additional items to the categories!!!!

overall very good app, spanish doesn't have a latin voice but it isn't a big issue, i just wish i could add custom cards and categories, even if it was a premium option :/ not the best option for adults

This application is great. Nice interface, I love this application. it's very useful application. it can learn important and daily uses sentence to you. it's very easy to use and I recommend it to everyone. So easy to use and so helpful application.

I am high functioning and I sincerely wish this was around for me as a child. I could always speak. My problem was turning the language in my head into words. The only feedback I would give is maybe provide a short free trial with all packs so parents can see if the app is truly right for their child and not leave them making another purchase of something that doesn't work and have them feeling hopeless. The front-end devs on this deserve an extra pat on the back.

I am having the same issue as Shaylyn Noel, I am using a Samsung phone. You said to download Google TTS driver, which one. When I typed Google TTS driver in the search box, loads of apps show up. Which one is compatible? I have 2 stars coz i can see how amazing this would be for my son, but having to repeatedly tap what he wants to say, he will give up, as a neuro typical i would give up as well, let alone him! Please advise. Thank you

Wow, this app is so amazing. This app is a very important app for kids. Kids can learn a lot from it. They can view and read pictures at the same time. I suggest to everyone, please everybody download this apps & enjoy yourself with your kids. Thank you so much.

3 stars because of the premium thing. I understand you need to make money somehow but having important things like medical stuff, snacks, drinks, self care stuff and whatnot in he premium just isn't okay. If you're gonna make people pay at least make it a pay once for everything forever kind of thing for those who don't have the money to pay every single month and dont have enough to pay for the year one.

I love this app!! the designs really cute and accessible. I would like to see some more gender neutral options and it would be really useful to be able to 'favourite' custom phrases from the search tool
