3 stars only because stuff like this should be free. it's basic learning that keeps you sharp but isn't enough to pay for. we already pay too much money for school.
so cool and interesting. the game allows you to focus and read well the instructions so that you can play well the game with knowing all the rules required. I'm enjoying
Great games! Love how you can get the premium by watching just one ad. Games are fun. Loads quick! I love this game and have for quite some time!
Great math game. Really helps you remember math problems and reteaches you problems, like pay my bill. Once you get passed about level 14 or so you start adding 4 rows of numbers then subtracting that from the total
Great game, lots of minigames to choose from and play. However during one game 'The Wrong Way', I ran into a bug that was pretty annoying and I was able to reproduce how it comes about. When you choose the wrong answer but continue to tap on the screen, the game just freezes. I can try to pause and unpause but I just have to end up restarting my game to fix it. Hope this helps.
Unfortunately, if you play the free version long enough, listening to the ads to unlock the full training options, eventually it simply refuses to connect to those videos. I was considering buying it (I reject subscription models), but hadn't explored all the games and made up my mind yet. I've just installed it on a new device(#4) , and if I can finish looking it over before that nonsense starts up again, still may.
I think it's a great work in progress. Could use better visuals / and higher definition graphics as it feels its an app made for a smartphone from 2012. Could also use much less ads. I feel as though itd be much easier to make a premium version than to run ads all the time, suddenly, with no way to close out of them to all users. It can be very annoying. On the bright side, I definitely feel as though it picked at my brain and the games were simple yet you can see how they would correlate to day to day things and feel the works of muscle / neurological memory and reflexes.
Really enjoyable, but more importantly, REALLY makes you think and concentrate as hard as you can. Also, being able to REPEATEDLY keep using the pause ⏸ button, (at the top left of the screen), during each game - when/if you get something wrong - then RESTART the game is great practice, and a great confidence booster too! Especially as it gives you the opportunity to take a few minutes, compose yourself, then keep trying again from the start until you finish with a 100% correct score 👍
Phenomenal game. Any Age. The past month I have been enjoying in the different types of mini games and the ability to continue the challenge with an ad. This game is to maintain or even improve your intelligence quotient for their mini scenarios. For example: Mini game: neighborhood watch Is a series of individuals moving from point to point. At first you memorize the paths knowing the individual's start and end points, later it gets more difficult and you would have to simplify their paths.
While on my search to find something easy enough for my friend who has early onset of dementia and hard enough for me to play along with her, I think I found it here. I like the different games and categories they use as well as go at your own pace. The graphics are colorful, big enough to see on my screen and I like that a lot of the games have circles too. Bubliness. I will probably upgrade to no ads soon. I loved that the no ad version wasn't ALL ads and hard to navigate like other games. 👍
I really like how (in the very beginning) it has you choose from 3 different options that are within each category, so our training is actually "tailored" to each individual. Stuff like that is typically RARE/unheard of, when the app/game was FREE! Just for the record, I wanted to mention that rating apps is NOT something that I do... And I especially don't post reviews, either... But I want to give credit where credit is due-good job & thanks for not robbing us blind!
I had brain surgery several years ago that left me with cognitive deficits. I found Luminosity online and while it's challenging, I don't much care for their "scoring". I have been looking for an app that I can use while waiting for an appointment, and this is it. I can now pass the time working on my brain rather than with mind numbing games like solitaire.
One of the best brain developing games I have played till now. It helps improve all areas: reasoning, awareness, reflex, patience, accuracy & adaptability. The first day I played it showed me I was lacking in the reflex area and my reasoning was the best, which I knew to be true beforehand. Though the initial levels were pretty simple but it worked wonders. And the games apart from the training are pretty awesome. Keep up the good work and try to add some more games.
Overall good game with a good concept. But in my opinion it has some issues so I give only 4 stars. 1. in the progres menu I would love to have also option "last played" games order. 2. some games are too long to play them 10 times in a row in the "todays training". I think 5 games would be just enough for all of them. 3. some games are really hard and thats frustrating. I am not sure if anybody can have good results playing them.
i really enjoy the challenges this app has to offer. Some are easy, some are not and that's based on your strengths and weaknesses. im hoping to improve both with this app. i like that i can access all the challenges by watching an ad. the instructions are easy to follow. the controls are so very easy, it's mainly tap and go. Everyday it's a different set of challenges that make you think as you act.
No, this is awful as a brain trainer and the scoring literally makes no sense. There's no timer and you get exactly the same score if you finish your answers very fast or if you hang around, get pen and paper out etc. some of the games will have a shut off point but others don't and nothing has a timer. What's the percentile mean? That also doesn't makes sense. I'm at 10% percentile but that's only because I'm only a short way through. It's useless for the purpose advertised!
I feel that this does develop aspects of your brain. Left and right helps with cognoscenti function on a basic level. Some of the games are slightly repetitive but it is still good for the brain and the way you feel after success is good. They could have more variety. But I'm saying that people who try this will enjoy it for the most part.
It does seem to provide challenges that would require better left/right braim hemispherical coorsination (to an extent - nothing too challenging, dependin on who's solving the games). Whether doing this for 10 mins. every day would actually be of any help (any difference at all) - yeah, I'm afraid it's not evwn remotely that simple and easy - I do train brains of children for a living and I respectfully suggest that "braintrainer" apps do not work as advertised. But they're fun, though :D
Games are good at first. As per my bank statement, the free week trial auto-renews as a $39.99 year subscription, instead of the weekly subscription as would be implied. It also charged me $1.05 for the first week on top of that. What I found over time was a nearly unplayable amount of 30+ second advertisements with the free version. Two stars because some of the challenges are entertaining and engaging.
Great brain training!!! You can feel your brain working! 😄 Some instructions are confusing, so you may get some answers wrong in the beginning. However, once you get the hang of it, the next time you do that particular section you'll probably do better. Overall, one of the best apps around of its kind, so please give it a try!!!
There are a variety of games to play here but the app needs more work. I paid for it to see if the scoring would make more sense but it didn't! I still have no idea what the scores indicate as everyday, it changes but there is no comparison to the day before! And no record of if you did better previously. The bar graphs also don't work! Disappointing. I would give it a 3 if it did at least have scores fixed. Don't pay. And if you play again during the day, it makes you off as not finished!
I love this app! After just one day I upgraded to the lifetime VIP pass which I think is well worth it for unlimited games and no ads. I like that there are so many games so it doesn't get boring. It's interesting to see which areas I'm good at and which I need to work at. Not looking forward to the levels getting harder though, I'm wondering if my brain will be able to cope!!!
So when I answered the setup questions I clicked every possible thing I wanted to approve on, that way I would be learning & exercising my mind in a wide variety of different ways. &Boy oh boy, I must say, it is challenging & fun at the same time! I wish they games had like 5 more seconds one the 1st round but I'm sure that's what makes it so hard! I also love that the app has an option to enable daily notifications/reminders so I don't forget to play. I love the app, the concept & the game!
My family encouraged me too workout my brain muscles so I downloaded the app. I can honestly say that the beginning levels may give you the impression saying, "This is easy. What is there for the challenge?". Continue to further levels and the simplest can be beneficial and challenging and fun! I love this app! I recommend it to people who want to maintain general and common academic level. But there are memory levels, counting activity, color match, eye skill, and much more! Thanks!
So far, I really enjoy this app. It's got a lot of different mind games to help your brain think. And if you have ADHD like me, you will struggle with most of the games b/c there's so much going on, different colors/shapes, things going on at once you have to pay attention to, etc. But, it helps strengthen my brain to combat the ADHD issues I suffer from day by day and does it in a creative way that's enjoyable. I highly recommend this app, it's great.
pretty fun brain games... though response times to when one physically touches an object in game tends to lag or not register real-time. leaving a bit of an inaccurate score. this occurred more with games that involved selecting moving object. also in the instructions for said memory game include in the instructions " wait till objects stop moving and then select order in which they moved first. As this seems to be what is correct but not implied or expressed. But i do really like the overall App
Would be perfect if the ads were not so long and so many steps to get through them. Many apps get good ad revenue without making the app nearly unusable. Otherwise it's a great interface flows smoothly and is very engaging for the brain.
