I wasn't expecting a lot from an app that connects to my whole house carbon filter. However, it was invaluable for the initial setup, and managing backwash settings. Now I still use the app to check flowrate through the system and the daily totalizer. The app isn't super flashy, but it doesn't need to be, and is well laid out. It works well, and the Bluetooth connection is great and I can manage the unit in my basement up two floors in my bedroom!
Much like the aerator itself, this app is not effective at all. Interface is about 2 decades behind, and to connect via bluetooth, you have to be within 5' of the unit. Once in the app, there are very few features. It does not log any useful info. What is suppose to function, mainly just takes up space. Very displeased with the Legacy app as well as with Chandler Systems. Look elsewhere for your water treatment needs.
Had trouble with app viewing filter valve head. It didn't show on the device list. In short, I unplugged the power supply from the outlet, unplugged the 9v battery in the front tray, waited 30 seconds, plugged the 9v battery back in, and finally plugged the power cord back in. Effectively, a hard reboot. Worked like a charm.
The application and connectivity worked well until the application update dated 18 August 2020. My Android 10 device no longer connects. IOS 13.6.1 device does connect. No longer attempts to pair to Android. un-installed the application, re-installed verified permission for the app and also disconnected the device from power and removed the battery backup for 30 seconds. No change. Please assist. Also checked the BT settings on the device "be 1" turned off to "be 0" then back, will not connect.
Works great with a water filtration system I have... had an issue emailed them and the tech was great emailed me instructions and walked me through it via email assume support .. ππ
Stopped working all of a sudden won't see the device π when it did work it was great *** Update so after talking to someone with the company it was a very easy 30 sec. fix unplug the backup battery and the power wait 30 seconds and the Bluetooth worked as it did thank you for the help !
Ok.. I got the 9/1 update today (still on same note 9).... To my surprise, the water flow data is now working..... At the moment. The app looks to be working well.... I appreciate your efforts and persistence in getting this to function as it is key to making sure the system is managed properly... ill update after running some test.... but looks promising at the moment.... also note, I had to delete my last post to put this one... as there was no more room for characters.. thank you
Really nice and easy to use app. Amazing to have all this information accessable on a home unit.
Finds 1/2 devices. Uninstalled, reinstalled, verified Sidewindr Iron Filter BT was on, still not showing up. I wish it would show the last time a cycle occurred. Latest update fixed crashing after selecting "Device List" but now I can't view my device.
I would avoid softeners that use this app. It is representative of the problems you will have with the valves as well. Unreliable. Would not connect with reboot and power cycle, including the battery. Avoid this equip.ent and the useless app.
Overall it works well. I would like to be able to set the minutes on the regeniration time and not only the hour as my cycle is under 30 minutes and I have two filters.
The app used to work and now can't even get it to launch on Android.
Constantly offline! Pretty useless.
App doesn't work anymore. Tried to delete it and download again it doesn't work. Also checked bluetooth was turned to on already.
Stopped connecting and won't pick up on blue tooth connection...havent been able to view for past several weeks... App is now working properly.
Its gotten better and better. If you have All the sensors in your water system that this app can read you can micro manage ur own water plant.
Loses Bluetooth connection with the appliance every time there is a power glitch. And to reconnect, I have to unplug my appliance and unplug the battery back up
App worked great for over a year.. then they updated it recently, hasn't worked at all since. Would love to know how to fix the problem.
Technical team was really responsive and helpful. Guided me through the testing process. It is working now.
Had a technical issue with app connecting to unit. Tony called me back within 5 minutes and solved the problem. Great customer service.
After downloading the app and going thru the "new features" pages, the app shut down and will not restart. I uninstalled and reinstalled, but have the same problem.
