A must have app for CC for state to state travel. Laws are updated and the app is well maintained.
The first law I was looking for was to prove carrying in a Polling Place in Michigan is legal. The app is wrong and the link to send LegalHeat proof is broken. Sad, I had heard good things about this app.
Will not update laws database, the old version worked. I am removing this off my phone!
2.3.6 is still broke. Constantly crashes. Open "My Carry Map" or "Training Center" and it crashes immediately. "Federal Laws" crashes more than half the time. Cleared App data and cache, still crashes. 2.3.7 is working. Had to Clear Data after update. Ads get in the way (like others, I purchased this before), zooming and moving around "My Carry Map" is cumbersome. The data and presentation is great. It is a useful app. After purchasing and now having ads, it will never be 5 stars!

Please bring back the old version, at least it worked. This version is a complete blank for laws be it concealed or open carry. The map is inaccurate, & for entering 'your permit info' there appears to be hundreds of values to select, all with virtually the same single word description. The original you did not have to create an account for, contained laws based on those states, & an accurate map for reciprocal rights, which this has almost none of that, & is practically useless.
Broken. This app was much better before the changes. It does not display the states that recognize other states permits. It says "image not found". To see states that specifically recognize your permit you have to set up an account with them. This used to be the best app of it's class. Still broken after most recent update, dropping rating to 1 star. Still broken after multiple updates. Now I'm seeing Ads even though I paid to not see them. I'm done. Uninstalling.
As of today, 4/12/22, the app is still broken. I am truly disheartened as this has been my go-to app for when I travel. The old version, while it may not have looked as sleek, was so much more stable... and updates actually worked. I have recommended this app many times in the past, but can no longer do so considering I can't get it to update. Please fix so I can give it 5 stars again!
The "my carry map" has numerous errors. If you look at the individual states you'll find that the carry map is wrong. I looked at 3 states showing as i couldn't carry in those states, but the state laws pages show it as honored.
This app was fantastic, a quick reference at all the details you need, but now it wants an account, and it needs an internet connection, no more offline saving, all for some data that was perfectly fine stored at straight computable text before, what was once a quick procedure is now a 5 min process of waiting for the app to re download all the data then find what you're looking for
Needs Update Not working on Samsung Note 9. Keeps saying internet connection error. I checked the permissions. Nothing is blocked. Deleted All the downloads, and Downloaded All again. Rebooted app. Uninstalled/reinstalled. Did everything I can think of. Still says internet connection error. Worked great on past phones. Love the app and information, but can't get it working on Note 9.
Tried the Android again app today May 22, 2020 and appears to be working again now. Format of app has completely changed. Still extremely slow to display initial screen. Don't really really understand having to log in to use the map function. Separate login from Google. Defeats the purpose of a phone app.
Very informative and interesting
For whatever unknown reason the program disappeared and the app Icon was "greyed out", necessitating a complete reinstallation of the app. I never had one iota of a problem with this app so this behavior was simply put of the blue. I had paid for this app so we will see how the program works in the future. All 8n all a very good app, but will only give it 2 Stars instead of my original 5 when I first installed it.
The old version was way better. Didnt have to wait for 5 minutes to load. Once I downloaded a states laws, they saved in the app and could open immediately any time.. now this makes me look like an idiot when I say "use legal heat, it's the best reciprocity maps and list all laws" then cant get the app to open.
The app used to be excellent. Now you can't view maps of which states accept other states' permits. Now I see, today, that there is an ad near the bottom of the screen which appears to prevent you from scrolling down to the laws for a state.
I entered my state and permit info, but when I hit save, it just gives me an eternally spinning red circle. If hit the back button, the info doesn't save. The information is good to read, but without saving my onformation, it loses functionality like the carry map.
Update: They fixed the problem and updated the app. Will see how it works now. Was a great app until the latest update. Very useful but since the update it won't open and recently realized it's running my data usage up. So I'm uninstalling it. Hope the get it fixed.
The app crashes every time I try to open "My carry map" and "training center". My carry map is the one feature on the app that I would really like to have access to. Please fix!!
For someone who travels often and proudly supports and exercises my 2nd Amendment rights this app is just a must. Anytime im traveling out of state I always check the laws where I'm going to make sure I'm staying legal wherever I go. This app should be mandatory when applying for and registering your ccw. Knowledge is power and this knowledge will keep you safe and free.
Do Not Purchase! for newer versions of Android, it wont loafd the information. It used to be great but no longer is usable. they enailed me back: Hello, Thank you for your email and apologies for any inconvenience. Our app is currently undergoing an update to be compatible with the new versions of Android. We anticipate this update to be complete no later than Sept. 30th. Some of the negatives have been addressed in the May 2021 update. I used to have the paid version, would like to see it reinstated to get rid of the ads. The app is handy for quick reference of states that have reciprocity.
Used to be the best app available for this topic. Last two updates led to unusable app. Old version had much detail on laws; now a quick reference isn't any better than a quick web search on google. Previously paid for the app; now seeing ads. Seems to bave become just a sales portal for further paid classes.
App used to work very well. I tried registering (again?), but now there's a handshake error. Kinda pointless to have this app if it's not gonna be useful. Maybe they'll fix the problems or revert back to an earlier version to resolve the issue?
Nice app.. I great to have all the state concealed carry laws and restrictions, all in one easy to navigate place.
