Needs a lot of work. Bluetooth connection is hit and miss even holding my phone right next to the controller. Random force close and then just reappears at the connect screen. Won't save settings like temperature units. Moving away from the home screen and back again freezes the display. Please put some effort into improving the app, I like the concept of this product but you need to polish it a lot before I buy any expansion sets.
This app is rough... Bluetooth connects maybe 10 feet away, it lags, freezes, and disconnects. There needs to be an option tho allow the regulator and micro inverter to connect to your Wi-Fi network. The WiFi range to the micro inverter is terrible, the antennas have no strength and basically need to be in direct eye sight of each other to connect. I have used extension cables to bring them closer (within 50 ft) and still has trouble keeping a connection
Some issues, the IOS app is much further along than the APK. Things that work on IOS that don't on Android. Refresh in health page by pulling down and releasing. Switch from page to page with out freezing. To clearify IOS can switch between pages in the app without losing data stream. Both apps freeze Android freezes repeatedly. Go from home to health page and app will freeze. IOS can go page to page and maintain it's data updates. APK app makes inverters/bc go red intermittently but not IOS
Terrible app. difficult or impossible to connect. once an attempt to connect the micro inverters is made, if searches for ever until it is uninstalled and then reinstalled, which often just repeats the cycle. Customer support is nearly nonexistent. So far a total waste of money.
Bluetooth is horrible connection for this app add more options needed in this app use 2.4 GHz or 5 ghZ doesn't allow to add to home wireless doesn't give any info about wireless signal being broadcast to microinveter it's total focus is on historical data won't let you say NO, it's constantly processing like it has a 30 year old processor in the inverter and solar regulator doesn't allow a interface with regulator or inverter separately where's your manual on the app? Had to uninstall/ reinstall
The app continually freezes on Android. Been trying for nearly a month to get it to connect to my solar panel installation. What a colossal waist of money and time. I've only gotten 2 of the 4 inverters to connect to the app, only 1 battery commander ever worked. Complete junk. Run - go get your solar from someone else. Tech support has been jerking me around for weeks with nothing more than "try it again" coming out of them.
App freezes and crashes A LOT. Connecting and staying connected to the solar regulator unit is a problem. AND whenever attempting to change any setup options, it prompts for system test instead of the option pages I selected. I am able to get the system output into.
Can't connect to my Gen 1 and Gen 2 Solar Inverters. So, I cannot get any telemetry data. App is useless without detecting anything. Performing a reset of the regulators does not fix the problem. Network is Linksys Velop in Mixed Mode 2.4/5 GHz? Bluetooth enabled. Definitely within range of Wifi.
Gen3 is working great! [Edited 9-14] There are several bugs: 1. Upon relaunch of the app the cost of energy value is always calculated at 25 cents/KW regardless of what you change it to in the settings section. Once you change it, it calcuates correctly until next relaunch. 2. Fixed! [9-14] 3. Fixed! [9-14] 4. If you navigate away from the app and come back you must force close. Yay! They're squashing those bugs! Now hunt down that 25 cent variable that's reverting upon launch.
The app has very spotty connection to my system; I have to "connect" every time I open the app and half of the time cannot connect. The app registers how much energy my house is consuming but not how much my system is producing. The app will not set up my system but will only "test system".
Horrible app. Lots of bugs, can't connect, tried with different phones. Questionable tech support.
I had to download this 5 times today before it worked. I would say this system and app has a lot to be desired. I have done a lot of solar in my life and this system makes me feel stupid. Spend your money on a true off grid system or hire a local solar installer - don't waste your time or money with this.

Worthless, the company has no customer support for problems related to the app or the solar regulator which the app communicates with. Terrible customer service! Advise against buying anything from said company.

Nicely designed app. Shows all pertinent information. Legion Solar's Support team has been very quick to fix issues when mentioned. All the bugs I have reported have been addressed. I would like to see a way to export data as well as a Bluetooth to WiFi bridge. However the app really works well now with the ability to reliably review historical data. Very pleased with the entire product from hardware to software.
