LEGO® HIDDEN SIDE™

The integration with the sets is really nice, and the gameplay is simple, but has enough depth to keep older players interested. However, the boss ghosts( I've only played the graveyard) are really OP, at least from my experience. I've gotten pretty far concerning upgrades, but I still die within a minute after a boss encounter. is this just me, or is it a problem that can be fixed?

I wanted more exploration of the sets. The game is simple, repetitive and doesn't benefit a ton by being AR. There's a great idea here but this doesn't really achieve it. It'd be great to have each model as triggers and be able to have alternative app animations as you play in the physical space. I really expected more PLAY, not a boring shooter.

When I downloaded the game it was working just fine, I could play as the ghost but when I tried to play as the hunter with my set, every time when I had to match the outline it kept crashing. The minifigure scan works just fine, but I don't understand how the set scan doesn't work. Please fix it, developers. But besides that the game is fantastic.

The app was fantastic until the last update. Worked fine until two days ago now won't load, hangs on the loading screen. Loading stops at 13/17 of files loaded (taking a guess what the numbers mean in the lower right hand corner). Lost two months of progress trying to reinstall the app, still hangs at the same place. You guys really need to have a save link to Google or something like 90% of every other app out there.

The game is fun. Could be better, could certainly be worse. It's a shame that after the latest update, the BUS level is completely unplayable because it constantly freezes, loses AR environment. Thank you, Phil. Worst advice possible. After reinstalling nearly 2 months worth of progress is gone. No more Halloween exclusives, nothing. Why does this not have cloud backup? We pay enough for the physical sets.

Tried setting this up for my 8 year old. He was excited, until he couldn't go any further because he couldn't line up the set with the phone. Firstly his phone was not compatible, so we tried the new tablet, also not compatible. Finally got it installed on my S10 and the train outline goes off the screen. Unable to rotate, zoom or anything. A very useless piece of software. I'm an IT manager with 25+ years experience, I've seen my share of rubbish apps. This is up there.

An innovative idea. Too bad Lego cancelled this line. The sets were fun to put together, and look great on display, especially around Halloween. As for the game, it's simple enough, and the fact that each set is a level in the game makes collecting the whole series doubly worthwhile.

Amazing game, yet I would like it so players that play for certain amounts of time play against players that have been playing for similar amounts of time. I have played with people who are way to good for me to beat. And when the hunter leaves the game lags and your not kicked off but stay on for a while and I lags and you can shoot but can't collect gloom.

The most recent update is slightly disappointing. Although I am happy that the new sets were added as well as new ghosts, I don't like how there is no longer different difficulty levels on hunter mode. Also I hate how I can no longer play ghost mode on single player. Whilst multiplayer is a great idea, it is not something I am interested. Can these two features please be restored?!

This is certainly a move in the right direction for Lego, as I think AR experiences can really enhance the value of a set. However, this app is a bit on the simple side, and the gameplay is really grindy. The minigame for specific sets is marginally fun the first time through, but after that it's just more of the same and you can't complete the game without playing it hundreds of times, and each time is 99 percent the same as the first. There's no meaningful interaction with the set and AR

First thing I love about this game: No in-app purchases!! You don't even have to own any of the Lego sets that sync up with this game! Even if all you have is one Lego minifig, that is enough to scan and play. The game is really fun, good graphics, the levelling and progression do make you feel stronger, and I like mixing and matching the abilities of my ghost team. Great to play if you're short on time, and fun for longer sessions, too. Even if you don't win, you still get rewards.

Game was awesome for about 24 hrs then when I would be in middle of gameplay ( usually shooting ghost) it would freeze and boot out of app completely. Then when scanning my set it would freeze and turn my phone off. I followed the tips. I check compatibly ( can't see how it worked the first day without it but...) It's more than compatible. Then uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times. Still to no avail. I'm a huge Lego fan. I have many sets and video games. This turned out a big disappointment.

I have been playing this game for quite a while. I was quite unsatisfied when I had gotten a new phone and my data was deleted though the gameplay and idea of AR with lego sets is fantastic. I have recently been getting problems with the set and how it easily disconnects if I move the camera ever so slightly of the edge of the sts viewing range. It deserves a 4 star rating.

The game works really well and I have personally not experienced one problem with it. The sets come to life correctly, new ghosts keep getting added and it is just a joy to keep coming back daily for new challenges. Multi-player works incredibly well and finding games is easy. Overall fantastic experience.

This used to be an amazing app. But, the set scan went from ok, to absolutely horrible. Vehicle sets are the worst to scan. It gets extremely annoying when you have to do the tutorial every time you register a set. The sets are good but the app is horrible. I have built every set properly and did not make any mistakes with a well lit environment and no background patterns. Lego needs to fix the various glitches and exploits in this app. Very disappointed. Lego needs new devs. Lego refuses to fix

I've been a big fan since day 1, and it's amazing to see how far it's come. The addition of multiplayer was the big thing this game needed to keep people coming back, and that combined with the ghost collecting really catches the fun you can have in a game like pokemon for example. I really hope with more advertising newer players can become exposed to the updated game because it really is night and day compared to the game at launch. In addition to little things like a ranking system, and a single player mode to practice offline, what the game needs to succeed is a way to save your progress to your account so you dont everything when switching devices (as a few other people have mentions in other reviews). I'm loving the game, but if I lost all my progress I'd have a pretty difficult time trying to convince myself to start over. In a similar vein it would be cool to get a personal profile or even just a nickname so you could recognize other players online, although being able to emote in game was a nice touch. Love all the improvements and events guys, keep doing a great job!

It's definitely fun and enjoyable. But has had a few problems lately like not scanning properly, if I move my phone to fast in ghost hunt it makes me rescan set again, and worst of all as of today now won't even let me into the app... It goes to load screen and gets to 15/16, then suddenly jumps back to 9/16 then won't load any further. Have tried force closing and clearing cache yet still can't get past load screen. Will change star rating if or when its playable again as I do really enjoy it.

You guys got so much right on this. Yes I get to play the cool AR when I have my sets. I can play as a ghost without my sets when I'm on the road. Difficulty is just right where you NEED to level up for harder levels. The rewards on the way become meaningful. Game loads VERY fast so it is easy to jump in and play. Only improvement is more diverse background music.

Game itself is great. Loosing all progress due to a new device or reinstallation of the game makes this game obsolete. It is not even up to customers to inform about this issue, since the developers must be aware of this already. It was designed to work such a way. What a waste of time and money. Lego should atleast make a guide, how to copy ingame progress to a new device "manually".

If it weren't for somewhat choppy and sometimes downright glitchy controls and visuals I would give this 5 stars. As a lego collecting addict It has HUGE possibilities to pave the road to opening up all different Lego sets and Lego video games to an incredible new Interactive mode of collecting / playing with lego products. It can keep lego up to date with technology while keeping the simple, hands on brick building experience that I've enjoyed for 30+years

The AR does a surprisingly good job at making the sets seamlessly appear in a virtual environment, and both sides of the gameplay are fun. The unique ghosts you catch have cool abilities and keep me interested, and catching new ones gives me a similar feeling to playing pokemon. The non-AR shooter game only has 2 maps, but they're gonna add more. I wish there was something to fight though, like small enemies the player can defeat instead of just running from the giant phone. Still fun though.

The game could've been great but it is too repetitive. The App Needs access the cellphone flashbulb as it requires to much shadow free direct light that a room's ambient light just doesn't provide. Also needs some form of integration with my personal constructions. I never leave my sets as they are originally designed in the box as a rule! I have a 5ft tower built on a table i want to hunt ghosts in and mini figure scan is just not enough. 5/10 not AFOL friendly

The device compatability list is extremely small! My kids have recent tablets and none were on the compatability list. Was OK when run on an S10, but completely defeats the purpose when they can't use it on their devices. Lego, you don't need a formula 1 race car to go to the supermarket, it's just lazy software development!
