It worked great for the first two days and now won't open at all. It makes 42140 basically a paperweight. Wouldn't buy anymore powered technic sets until this is fixed and may be looking at a refund for this set if I can't use it. Using an S10 on latest firmware, tried a reinstall with no improvement.
Good app works as intended my one complaint is the detail. The volvo a60h render is missing the black stripe on the fender and the top sticker of the grill is reverse I know that they don't change the controls but it is not that hard to make those details correct
App has stopped working. I cant even open the app it just force closes.... ive uninstalled an reinstalled but noting... not impressed at all. Ive turned my device off an restarted it an retried the app an now it loads up but wont load into the vehicle. Its just useless that a purpose built app cant even work... ive tried to connect with you guys like ur response asked an i cant... it happens all the time, i have a samsung s10. Fix the bugs guys come on
Great controls and works well. Sounds are nice. The current lack of customisation possibilities is unfortunate, and exiting tutorials is a bit annoying, but otherwise very good!
Great for people who don't want to just have to flip a switch left or right to control something, and neither do they have to rearrange the gears on their set or creation to change the speed. Overall, a great experience. Thank you, LEGO.
UPDATE: If you're having issues with the app crashing or failing to connect, restart your phone/tablet and see if that clears it. It connected after the restart, ran some firmware updates, and no issues.
Worked great for me. Fast setup, quite fun. I have the transformation vehicle and an Oppo a52. Figured out to turn the vehicle off you hold the green button down for a long time, until the light goes off.
We have a Buggy. The motors are like a normal remote controlled toy car. Nothing special. The app is pretty useless. It has some baby sounds, horn, kwak kwak duck, which is maybe interesting for a baby. My 6-year-old kid is pretty disappointed and me too. If Lego can't afford to pay some decent developers to make some better app, they shouldn't sell remote controlled Lego this way.
Extremely hard to control the buggy, interestingly thrust and steering side can't be changed.... Poor controls. You should consider better steering experience instead of putting fart sounds into an RC..
great app works well with the d11. just one issue, phone had an update the other day and now it won't open past the loading screen then crashes. I have a Samsung note 10+ thanks.
App stopped working on Samsung Note10+ running Android 12 and crashes on every attempt. Please fix the issue as soon as possible. Thanks!
Just as Sean Meberg said I tried that myself today and it worked just as it should, so giving it 5 stars as I said I would in my previous post. We all need to remember that our phones need regular restarts as over time as apps and other functions start to playing up and get buggy.
Overall good but one annoying issue. Im using 4x4, and like to use the stick controls but the app keeps thinking I'm swiping when I'm actually turning so changes the controls to point and go. Need a setting in the menu to choose the control method rather than swiping to swap between methods.
Completely broken app. Crashes the moment it loads anything. I've now tried it on my wife's phone an installed/uninstalled a few times. I deffinately expected better quality from lego
The app used to work but since the update it doesn't. I'm using one of the latest smart phones and it crashes the app every time I try to use to😠
I've given up on lego technics...I assembled the volvo pick up and installed this app but the pick up doesn't shift through the gears even after updating the firmware. Not sure if lego is interested in such reviews but I don't advise wasting your energy on the lego technics range
I will give this a 5 star for previous use . But for some reason it will not open on my phone now , unistalled and reinstalled numerous times and still won't open . Shows me first "lego control" then closes itself . Frustrating as I've just finished the D11
App keeps crashing while trying to load on a Galaxy S21 (fully updated at time of writing). Cannot control lego set after building it.
It's really good app for these Lego Technic, it would be better if it had some kind of controller support, as sometimes it's difficult to control the modal using touch pad. But I guess that's just me
Was working great until the update 4/25. Now it opens and closes right away on its own. Frustrating as I just finished the d11 and want to play with it. Samsung galaxy s21+ 5g.
Worked great to start off but app won't even open now. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Still won't open just crashes
Please disregard the force closing of the app when I try to open it. After a hard reboot of my phone, it is now opening without issue.
I bought the lego set 42140, and got the app. I had some problems at first, but I restarted the app and it worked just fine afterwards.
I had absolutely no issues setting this up on my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The app seems to work well, and the BLE seems to be responsive. My only real complaint has to do with the controls for the Off Road Buggy. When you use the 2-stick control, the throttle is on the right stick, and the steering is on the left stick. This is backwards to every other R/C car controller I have ever used. It would be nice to be able to swap the steering and throttle controls in the app.
