App outdated, this is what i have done to use it: The editor app on windows must be run as administrator, or it will not able to store settings. To use the correct android device resolution, i had to change the Display Size setting to minimum. To adapt a template to your android device resolution, you have to create a custom resolution for your device on Lemur editor, load the template on the editor(using the connection utility and activating the sync option), say yes when it asks to stretch it, then on the Lemur app go into the settings, click on the loaded template name and save it so that it will remain on your device, also you can save it locally from the editor to have a backup. By following the above steps i can use it without problems. Also a missing feature is that it cannot use hardware midi interfaces, hope that at some point it will be updated and will be improved.
A great app, if you ever manage to get it working. Unstable, unreliable, confusing and badly documented. The Lemur Editor, whether on PC or Mac, is a masterclass in how not to design a piece of software, and the Lemur app falls far short of what one would expect from a $20 app. Good luck getting any support from Liine either.
does not work. mac big Sur is not supported by lemur editor etc. freezes on start. in app editor doesn't work.
lemur editor is terrible, it deleted all of my progress, even after saving it numerous times.
Does not work. Just a screen with a logo. Does nothing. Got a refund.
If zero stars was an option, this app deserves it. No customer support whatsoever. Google doesn't refund you even if the developer is in violation of their policy.
Not working on logic pro x
Dont know how I ever lived without it...
Love you man. This was amazing.
Pathetic, absolutely pathetic, really tried to make this work on different systems and tablets for a long time, can't even do simple mappings, chances are it's going to double map something on the same address before you even get to map 10 items. Customer support does not answer most of the time, and sometimes it takes months to answer (no joke) and when they do, it's this bored dude, who will stop answering if your problem is not solved after 2 replies. Because this was not working I got Touch OSC and it works straight up, it's 4 times cheaper and is much more straightforward. Having to connect the lemur daemon each time is a drag and cumbersome and it feels like 1998. As far as I am concerned this is a scam these guys are pulling off using the Lemur name, they bought the name from the original Lemur, but that is the only connection to the original. I really feel cheated and robbed by these guys.
Very, very slow development. Seems like abandoned. Very expensive for nonexistant developer support. List of bugs and user base are practicly ignored.
I can handle the non-intuitive user interface. But, it's literally the only app on my device that won't work with USB midi devices/interfaces (I've tried three different ones). Tons of other apps are able to communicate over USB-MIDI ("Host Compliant") devices. Android 7.0 (LineageOS). And yeah, tons of other MIDI apps work GREAT on it, just not this one - the one I actually care about working.
Lemur now works perfectly with note 5 after previously being unresponsive on the new Android OS. Update fixed the problem. :-)
This app is totally worth it. I wouldn't bother typing this out here if it wasn't.
Abandonware... No reply on forums or from their support email.. hoping Google can refund
Finally the version 5.3.3 is excellent in all aspects!
..it has a template u can make use of
The android app keeps crashing...the adhoc instructions for Mac setup does not show up on my android tablet. It's a really complex with lack of enough basic walk throughs. Read through the manual and watched the tutorial vids but still can't manage to get it working smoothly. Please help out a bit here...
This is the best DAW controller app available for Android- hands down. I got a Samsung Tab A 9.7 for this specifically for Xmas, and luckily the app was on sale for $10. The main reason for my interest in this was because I've worn out the USB cable on a few pad-based MIDI controllers (Trigger Finger, MPD32) so the idea of a wireless controller with editing software was very appealing and so far, I love it. I first was relying on the User Library from the website (all the IPad templates work perfectly with my tablet) then I started creating my own. I like how you can edit a project through the editor and see instant results on your tablet with no wire needed, but I do wish this version had the in-app editor that the IOS has. Still, this version is much easier to customize than the original since you don't need an Ethernet cable.
I literally bought an Android tablet solely to run Lemur. I was already using it on my iPad to control background apps along with my iPhone aka Mini Lemur. I was expecting a disaster considering Android's impossibly fragmented ecosystem, but you all pulled it off! I consider myself lucky to spend around $200 total for what is essentially a top of the line midi command center. Think of some of the limited hardware controllers on the market in the $200 price range that Lemur can not only emulate but exceed.
It works but it's really slow when there's a lot of faders on screen. Touchosc is a lot faster and easier to make work with Reaper. Not been updated for a year.
Well i can't get a stable connection, if i can get one at all between my macbook pro and nexus 7. And as for being committed to getting me up and running? i can'r even get an automated reply email.its cool when it DOES work
A full screen button would be terrific. There is a lot of wasted space framing the interface on my nexus 7 (older version). For some reason it works fine on my newer Nexus 7 (2013).
I love almost everything about this app, I wish though that it had more options in terms of aesthetics. Also it can lose connection when the user switches to another app.
Update!! The crashing problem was fixed very the very next day with a new update. Thank you so much to the Lemur people(s)/programer(s). They seem to really be on their game now. I love lemur, it's been such a productivity booster. I am a composer working with Cubase DAW. Thanks again. -- OMG my tablet updated automatically. And now the app crashes when ever I try to open it. Seriously. Please go back to the original version. it was working fine. Now I am losing a ton of work and productivity.
