Lennox iComfort Wi-Fi

Works great...sometimes. Oftentimes, app won't even open on the phone to adjust the Temps. If it opens, it's slow or the adjusted temperature won't transmit to the thermostat. I always have to re-open the app few mins later to check if it transmitted the temp adjustment or turned off/on or not and then go through the cycle all over again. This device is the only thing in my house that also loses Wi-Fi connection lot of times even though it's so close to the modem. Product is cheaply made.

I've had the Lennox system for a few years now and the app that comes with it. The latest update to the app is an improvement over the last version in terms of appearance. In terms of usability and control, it's neutral. I love that I can adjust my system temp from anywhere and can even switch programs. I do wish the app had the ability to create or edit programs themselves, but I can do that at the thermostat so it isn't a total loss. The use of color indicator on the temperature numbers to show status is weird (white for not running, blue for cooling, red for heating). There should be a real indicator, either words or a symbol (as in the earlier version) because color doesn't work for everyone. An app feature to consider for the future is the ability to set a time limit for a temperature (as I can do at the thermostat) so that it doesn't just run until the next program change. Then I could set it for 1 hour, etc. and know that I'm not going to be confused and leave home with a temp I didn't want for a longer time.

Much better than the older version. There is one annoying bug involving volume when entering and exiting the app. When you enter the app, it changes volume to something other than what I have and when I exit, it always turns the volume for my phone off. This means every time I have to use the app, I also have to close it and then turn my phone back to silent mode.

The app needs to be force quit and restarted for it to connect to the thermostat again. It takes several minutes for a change made in the app to register on the thermostat, and if you leave the app before it happens, it never happens. The most agrivating part of the app is it turns off "Vibrate Only" on your phone, so if you like your phone to be silent all the time, don't open this app, cause it puts it back to "Full Sound". It seems unfinished.

The app interface is easy, but if the apps remains open, it has to be restarted to work. There is a delay between changes to the app and the thermostat. However, the worst now is the server comnect is down. The app won't communicate to my thermostat and there is zero way to contact the company. Updates to this app are extremely infrequent and don't see to do much. I wish there was better support.

The Lennox system is great. The app is less than worthless. The first few times I used it I thought it was awesome. I came home from a trip and turned on the AC remotely. Very cool. Then, it stopped working. Every time I LOOK at a setting it turns off that zone. Not only can I not change the temperature from my phone, if I even check what temperature it is at home, it turns off the system. I should have gone with something else.

The app does what it's supposed to do but it takes up to a minute for any changes to synchronize. There's also no indication that the sync took place. There's also a bug that'll force your phone's sound profile from silent/vibrate to audible. It took me a while to realize it's the app that's causing this and I thought it was a bad OS update, originally.

12/6/2020 Just figured I'd update again to report changes. There are NONE. Same old s#@t. Zero fixes. Beyond disappointed. Never know what my system is doing. Doesn't show anything when it's running. Have to close app and restart to make changes, then have to go through same process to see if the changes are working. NOT GOOD! 11/1/2020 Update - been over 2 months and still doesn't work well. Disappointing.

The interface is horrible. When the app starts, you have to select which home's thermostat you want to control. Even if you only have one home. Why do I need to pick from a list if there is only one item in the list? Once you finally get to the thermostat control screen, you are presented with a rotary style control that makes it very difficult to set a precise temperature, you will constantly over or under shoot the number you are trying to set. And the app wants access to storage? Why?

When using large characters on Moto the screen within the iComfort app gets all screwed up. It takes forever to load a screen. There is nothing on the Alerts and Reminders screen? The Zone icon at the bottom only says Zon. The temperature setting covers half of the current temperature. Enter Away has the top half covered by the Zone 1,2,3,4 field. Someone needs to autoscale the app, and find a way to load the data faster. My Internet speed is 250Mb/sec., not the issue.

The app is useless. It let's you change the temp but that's it. Can't access or change my programs and when you do make a change via the app, it overrides the program that is running. It's 2019 folks, your app should be bullet proof and simply be an extension of the unit. Looking for something elsewhere at this point.

I regret buying this HVAC as well as this app. No matter what I do in the app the system keeps resetting itself and running my cooling bill to a dizzying level. It constantly switches itself to on and to such a low temperature that you'd need a parka to be inside. I do not understand why this app can not actually control the thermostat and retain a setting for more than 5 minutes. Literally every 5 minutes the system resets itself. It is horrible.

The display is faster and it displays the unit's settings accurately BUT anything that is enterred in the app does not seem to be transmitted to the unit. I've tried temporary temperature override and changing the program from Summer to Winter. It displays in the app for a few seconds and then reverts to previous setting and the thermostat is not changed.

Very buggy. Often will set the temp and come back later to see the changes never were transmitted to the thermostat. Program often (about every four to six times I launch it) will freeze up and fail to show temperature settings requiring me to completely close out of the program and relaunch it

Good app, but if you have multiple zones, it is WAY too easy to switch to the other zone while pressing buttons. It took multiple tries to turn my heat on in Zone 1 because the app took any side to side motion as a zone change. It wasn't. It was just a slight slide while pushing the button.

Cheaply made UI interface with very little configuration. Not intuitive at all and a lot of the times the thermostat is either slow to respond or doesn't respond at all. Wish I could switch to a nest but Lennox decided to go with proprietary wiring. I'll never buy another Lennox product again.

My experience has been disappointing at best. After being used to the Honeywell wifi thermostat for several years the Lennox has been aggravating. Recently it has mostly stopped working and won't open now even after uninstalling and reinstalling a few times. If any other thermostat could communicate with the modulating furnace I would take this thermostat out and run over it with heavy machinery.

I have been happy with the app until today. It freezes at the splash screen and then nothing happens. I rebooted my phone, cleared the apps cache, and it still gets stuck on the splash screen. Let's hope Lennox resolves and fixes this issue quickly.

It does what it's supposed to do, but does it poorly. I have to open the app twice every time I want to use it because it freezes the first time without fail and it takes too long for it to communicate my changes to the system. Also needs increased functionality. Why can't I do everything my thermostat can do from the app? All features should be available

Big improvement on the previous version of the app. I echo the thoughts about using color as an indicator, and would add that I have to force close the app and re-open it to get it to update properly on my Note 10+ But overall, very much more reliable and usable than previous versions, so, keep it up!

Can not tell if the system is cooling or not. Terrible update of app. If you can even say it's an update, when a key piece of information is left out. I will absolutley not change my review based upon the developers response and explanation. The original app was literaly a snapshot of the actual device was very user friendly and decisive. They should bring back the original app.if they can not do a better job with this one. I am very dissatisfied with the functionality of this update.

The app is working now. The latest version has added to an extent some of the features of the unit mounted on the wall giving control to select between various programs, fan control etc. Programming the custom setting may be the ultimate addition to the app. That would be my 5 star rating then.

App is not what I would expect from such a high quality AC system. Can't tell if it is cooling. No color change, put some moving snow flakes like thermostats. Poor refresh. Need to close and open program to update. Display should include outside temp from themostate. BTW Why is it that Lennox is the only company that can not control a hydronic hot water heating system. Can't you design a simple module to do this. You could tie it to fan running at alow speed.. Very disappointed

I read a review by another person that you can tell your thermistat app is set to heat or cool by the color of the outline around the temperature setting and the color of the temperature number itself. Did it ever occur to the writer of this app that it's absolutely useless to someone who' is color blind? I also noticed that the new app is WAY SLOWER than the previous version to respond to changes. Why? All it does is change the settings of your thermostat. Why is it so slow?
