Complete and utter trash. App struggles to barely login in. If you're lucky enough to get that far, it can't find any of your existing devices or add new ones. To make matters even worse, the authorization link required to add existing devices to Google Home or Alexa returns an "access denied" error. The smart plugs we purchased are completely useless as a result. I'll be getting my money back one way or another.

This app worked for a solid week, and then it stopped working. The app loads indefinitely until you put it in the background and re open it, in which every button then leads to the account settings page. It's essentially useless now, and so are my smart devices. I've searched through Lenovo's support pages, and they are no help. I've read a lot of reviews on this app, and it appears to me that many people have had this same problem for months, yet Lenovo has done nothing to fix it.

This app was working well for me until the latest update. Now there are some pretty terrible scaling issues that make it close to unusable, like how it took me forever to find out that the scheduling toggles got shoved almost totally offscreen. Hope this gets fixed or rolled back soon. Update: I'm dropping this review from two stars to one. After the most recent update, the app is totally unusable and nonresponsive.

EDIT: Why does the new version require access to my location or storage? Light bulbs constantly unlink themselves. Sometimes I can't link them back up again. Sometimes they will magically reappear after a few weeks. Support goes round in circles. Also, your release notes could be much better than "fixed some issues". That is just lazy.

Easy to navigate, easy to customise ui that is very intuitive. - star, unable to connect to Google assistant through app - star, download/install progress bar is super inaccurate can jump from 20% to 40% or say it's failed and add the device. -star, keeps stating device is offline several hours after turning it off through the app. Turning device on and off at power doesn't fix. Will update review when issues are fixed.

App is junk rendering "smart plug" as dumb as it could get. Only saving grace is I paid only 8 bucks for it. If I paid full price I'd be pissed. Linked to plug ONE TIME, then overnight plug fell off the network. I reset it and then the troubles with the app started. When I try to add device by the TWO ways to click to do so (which is odd), all I get is my account settings screen. Cannot add anything at all, no plug, no rooms, NOTHING. Signed out, signed back in, uninstalled and reinstalled app, restarted phone, reset plug again...etc...etc... Product is now useless. Don't bother buying it, even for 8 bucks

The developers should read the instructions included with the devices. "There are two ways to add a device: (1) by clicking the" ADD DEVICE" button in the middle part, or (2) by pressing the "+" in the upper right hand corner". Neither of these options work. When I follow either option I am presented with the account setting screen, hardly what I need to add a device. Waste of time. Uninstalling and chucking the devices. They were given to me as a prize from Lenovo directly.

This app is difficult to use, the produc (smart plug) goes offline then needs re-installing,. which may or may not be successful. There is NO adequate troubleshooting or support from Lenovo online to address the problems and after a few weeks use on & off (mostly off) the smart plug is now as good as dead and fit only for the recycle bin. I hope you are reading this BEFORE you have purchased the product

Don't bother downloading this app, the functionality is more than poor. Load times are ridiculous and currently all buttons / click thru drive to the profile page. Won't be able to set a device up if you tried! Can't even leave feedback via the app since the submission redirect is also out of order 🙄

Terrible App. Both my Smart Plug and Light keep on going offline which makes it useless to control it with google home. Adding a new device can also be a pain because it sends you to the account settings page. It is sometimes unresponsive when I am trying to change the bulb's colour. After updating my bulb, it was unresponsive and always was offline. I had to eventually use a 3rd party application which worked. Uninstalled it and will never buy another Lenovo Smart product again!

Unable to get the app to recognise the Lenovo smart plug after it went through a firmware update. No joy from resetting the plug and reinstalling the app. I was able to get the plug to connect with the Lenovo Link Pro app however i could get this to integrate with Google home. If you look online there are many people with similar experiences.

Cannot find previously added smart plug. Must background the app to get rid of loading wheel and allow interaction. Cannot add new devices or rooms as these bring up the account page. Help links bring up 503 error page. Cannot submit feedback. This app used to work, no how it broke, but my plug started acting up today and now I can no longer control it with Google Assistant.

After a few weeks the software stopped working. It forgot the light and will not allow me to add any new devices. Reinstalling the ap and clearing the data didnt help. It looks like many users are having similar problems

Bought a 2 plug/2 light combo last fall from Lenovo and attached to this app which works but won't connect to Google home and hasn't for about a week. Had issues in the past disconnecting, probably 3-4 times since I've bought them. I have multiple smart home products from multiple companies and even the Lenovo smart display that works flawlessly but the app and plugs/lights combination with Home is terrible and is the worst smart devices I own due to connection issues.

At first this worked great and it was a help my life. Twice now it has forgotten the lights that were linked up, and when i try to add them again, it just asks me to log in. I do that and it goes back to the home page, i tap add device, it takes me to veiw my profile. So i cant add the lights back again. Will be switching to a different service.

Junk. Initially intermittent. Then one day, poof! No longer connects to wifi (ever). Have warranty but they still won't repair or replace. I bought 6 of these and they all stopped working at the same time. What a crazy coincidence...NOT! I'll never buy another Lenovo product again. Bought these with "Smart display", which was sent in 4 months ago for repair. Still waiting. They just change the ticket # and mark as resolved. It isn't. 7 out of 7 items have failed in just 4 months. 7 out of 7!

Just updated my colour lights firmware (said 5-10min for update). This app wouldn't recognise after an hour waiting (connected before update 80% of the time). Now both lights are just switch off/on lights. App won't connect. Tried removing and adding again with no success. Shouldn't be that hard?!?!

what the is wrong with your developers making this the hardest process in the tech space just to configure a WALL PLUG. When I hit add device it shows my account info thats it nothing else. This is the worst app I've ever used.

Doesn't work. I have tried on android 11 and older versions. Can't configure wifi on android 11 and on older versions it appears you can, but cannot pair smart bulb or smart plug. This basically means the smart devices are useless and not worth the money spent. I recommend purchasing something else until LENOVO fixes this useless app.

I could only make this work by using the Lenovo Link iPhone app on my kid's phone. I logged on with my creds, connected to the plug's wifi, and it worked magically. I had spent no less than 4 hrs trying to register the device with my Android phone, and had pretty much given up. Then it occurred to me that maybe the iPhone app worked better, and I was right. As soon as the plug was configured, I went to my Android phone and, sure enough, the Lenovo Link app found the plug online.

This is my FIRST ever review. Bulb had issues from connection. Wouldn't reconnect after update crashed. Wouldn't connect to Google home. Spent 45mins in the first call. Support couldn't solve the issue so hung up. Second call was 1an hour long and I had more tech knowledge than the support person. Ended up with a DOA (dead on arrival) device they did provide a number for so I could get a replacement or refund. No chat support for tech only sales who were also unhelpful. Bought something else!!

I returned from OS in February to find my light no longer works with this app. Today, after many failed attempts to connect I was about to throw the globe in the bin. I though I would quickly try uninstalling and reinstalling. It was TV when I noticed someone's review saying we had to change to Lenovo Link Pro. I did this and now it all works fine. I can't believe Lenovo wouldn't advise its users of this!

Used to work? This app used to work fine - even as late as last fall. But I went into the app to reprogram a plug with a lamp for DST, and the app never stops "looking for update"? What the actual hell, Lenovo?

I've seen a lot of people with the same issue. My smart bulb won't show on the app. Tried refreshing it but that takes a lot of time. When you try to add it again, it take you to the account settings page. Reinstalling the app DOES NOT WORK! I guess my smart bulb is useless now because even google home cannot connect to it.

WORST smart app I've encountered. Simply doesn't work, which renders your smart devices useless. App worked for about a year but is now completely dysfunctional. DO NOT BUY LENOVO SMART DEVICES, they'll be rendered useless bc of this app.

Fix your app!! Why would you have lenovo link pro, when you still have to download the original lenovo link to pair your devices. It's an annoying process and one that i wouldn't usually post a review about but that is not all. The original lenovo link works 1% of the time and doesn't pick up your internet and that's on a good day, when you have managed to get past opening the app without it buffering continuously without an end in site. FIX IT!!!

Setup is overtly complicated and the app keeps sending me to the Lenovo website. Adding a new device took a couple of tries. The scheduling function doesn't work due to a timeout error. attempting to link this with Google home results in an error.

Very poor experience, tool is stuck on its own modes, after several weeks, it just stopped working an dit wouldn't allow you to reconnect to devices. Very poor.

The app only works if you don't update the device firmware. After you update the firmware it's impossible to reconnect to the device, even if you delete it and try to reinstall the device. Deleted and reinstalled the app also. Totally useless, nothing works.

Rather tenuous at first. But yeah you've got to have this app to setup the device. Once it works on the phone you can go to Google Assistant setup and add device. Once that is done it works with Google Home. So it will work with Alexa and other similar voice control hubs.
