When it works, the dock and tablet do as described. However it is very unpredictable. Several times the dock and tablet disconnect and then are unable to reconnect. The tablet also conflicts when trying to connect to the dock, there seems to be two separate ways in which the tablet can connect through Bluetooth and if it isn't the right way it won't work properly. It's a shame because this is what let the entire product down overall.
Constant bugs!!! Used to work reasonably well until latest update. Now it's constantly 1: failing to stay connected to the internet and 2: looking to connect via Bluetooth when its in the dock, then saying it's unable to pair!!! (and I'm sick of having to try and do it manually! ) Please fix ASAP as it's currently of NO USE to my visually impaired granddaughter or me!!!!
Garbage, very rarely works. Constantly disconnects if you can actually get it connected. I will never buy Lenovo again. The tablet is lackluster also and you can't even watch Netflix in HD or Vudu. It's a waste of money and I recommend just paying a bit more for a better device and doc. This is just garbage and I wish I could return it. I've had it for 3 months and I'm thoroughly disappointed in it.
Pre-installed system application, but may not be optimized for your device (as per google playstore!)??? - This is displaying the unorganized mess many companies are having with incapable google staff, and this isnt just a single error, as per playstore, about 50 % of my pre-installed system apps are displayed as "may not be optimized ...". Never would such things happen twice, or even prevail f months on a quality operating system like Microsoft Windows!
Constant Bluetooth disconnect of P10 and dock after app updated. Won't even automatically reconnect to the dock which it did previously. Have to remove dock from Bluetooth and re-pair like it's the first time. Will be good for maybe a day then back to Alexa Show mode not working due to no connection to the dock. Really disappointing as I've had this P10 and dock with Alexa for close to a year and been one issue or another the entire time. Great product concept, terrible execution
Most of the Alexa features have worked great; however every Alexa app the shows video is causing an error and making the show mode reboot. Tried with both Ring and Wyze. The video features is what I am most interested in, so it's disappointing. I'll chalk it up to a brand new product and hope it's resolved quickly.
Good quality for a reasonable price. Love it! I was tired of others tablets and computers installing many apps I don't use. This tablets I only have what I want so it's save me space and memory on my storage. It's works very fast and the cristal screen...amazing!!!!
I'm wondering why it's say that the Lenovo smart dock Firmware up dater app may not be suitable for my device. Well, my device is a Lenovo with smart dock. The Lenovo tablet works beautifully, and Alexa helps with keeping track of my purchases from Amazon. I really haven't had any issue connecting with the Lenovo smartdock, but there seems to be a disconnect to the speakers... I use G assistance most of the time.
Cant use dock without Alexa? No. Also needed several updates. several crashes just trying to create accounts, , screen errors, not sure if the os needs a update but the whole tablet and charging dock, several glitches. With that being said, the screen on the tablet and speakers kick ass. Needs smoother software, like it freezes and sites close, windows close, smartdock needs a battery to. Nice build, metal frame, has potential. Lenovo overlay causing errors, 200$ so expectations low anyways
Well it used to work fine but after the update they have basically bricked the speaker \charger perhaps they should refund 50% of the cost seeing as the speaker is a useless piece of plastic stuck on the side and the device is not as promoted as being an Alexa device. Unfortunately I cannot rate it 0 stars. SORT IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Diabolical - constant reinstalls but does not always connect. Keep switching off & switching on to get it to connect but the minute I take off the tablet to use I cannot reconnect on the dock. Very annoying because it looks nice but cannot use the functions.
My speaker is useless!! Its constantly disconnecting and reconnecting to the dock. It basically just a charger now. I am so disappointed. It isn't even a year old yet. This update ruined everything!! Respond to our comments!!
Listen to your customers! Seriously we are all having the same issues. We buy a tablet and Dock for use with Alexa and its not fit for purpose. It constantly disconnects and is hit and miss as to whether it reconnects!
This Vega OTA keeps playing a sound test on my speakers and there is no way out, only 2 buttons, front speaker and back speaker, no exit or finish test or nothing. And it opens by itself! Also you can't activate the Alexa guard feature yet.
Bluetooth disconnects at times when docked but does reconnect quickly. When I prompt Alexa to do something she goes off before I have finished doing what I am asking. overall so far so good minus these teething issues.
Useless. After this update dock keep disconnecting from tablet every couple of minutes. Annoying. Disabled and it is working fine till automatically program start asking to apdate firmware...Like a hell circle. Do something or I am gonna return product back to shop. First time in my life I am really disappointed about Lenovo!
Just bought this tablet and it updated straight away however as per previous reviews will not pair with the dock or when it does disconnects and re connects constantly very annoying .Going to return product and seek compensation for wasting my time and the product not performing as described.False advising if you ask me
I agree with everyone else on here. My tablet keeps dropping the internet and bluetooth. I used to use this as my main Alexa and use as my alarm clock but now it's rendered useless. Think I will go back to my lil ole Alexa Spot as never had issues with that 😵
Terrible experience with the Lenovo Smart Dock. NEVER connects with the Lenovo TB-X705F it came with. Every time the tablet is put in the dock "Something went wrong" message about bluetooth displays. What a waste of money.
UPDATE: I have been in touch with Lenovo to explain the problem, and let them know about everyone who are experiencing the same problem, and have left negative reviews here. They have now escalated the fault to thier technical escalation team. If you are experiencing Bluetooth problems, I recommend you do the same. Hopefully the more people they hear from, the more likely they are to do something about it!
My Lenovo Tablet is brilliant! The Dock and the associated software are abysmal! The tablet constantly disconnects from the Dock meaning that the Alexa feature doesn't work. I've resorted to using the Dock only as aeans of charging the tablet nowadays.
Tablet is wobbly on base, not securely attached you can accidently push it off the base. Even with the outrigger, its scary flimsy. . Worse yet, theres no provision for using it in portrait mode. Forget about it, it will cause you $eriou$ pain
Does exactly as it says lenovo m10 model I've got and the smart Dock speaker has alexa built in but it's Bluetooth but must b plugged in to mains when in use!!!!! And not had problem with the connection to Bluetooth and alexa works well but can't take it with u as a speaker as no way to connect except when plugged in Bluetooth dont know what lenovo was thinking I also have a alcatel 3T 10 with Bluetooth speaker and docking station this 1 is portable but about app good working great no problems👍
Called Lenovo and they are sending a new dock for the P10. I'm really thinking it will be in vain. Highly unlikely this many docks are bad and the rep specifically informed me that none of the hardware changed and it is the same dock I just got with my brand new tablet days ago. Sounds like a firmware issue or maybe it is a lowest bidder batch of BT hardware in these docks. Very dissatisfied!
M10 tablet with Alexa dock stuck on firmware update loop, so i can't use the dock, nor Alexa for that matter. Also, the m10 tablet has its own issues as well. 0/10, would not recommend these Lenovo products to anyone.
After the no-option update, it's gone from not brilliant, to bloody awful. Problems connecting to the dock. Lenovo! GET IT FIXED!!!!! Shame I can't leave minus stars... have to give it at least 1. Damn! Never going to waste my money on this brand ever again.
Horrible, this is the worst tablet I've ever gotten and you should be ASHAMED! The computers in the schools are really good, but mmy WIFI KEEPS GETTING BACK TO 0 WHEN I WANT TO PLAY A GAME! I don't recommend this at all because you will get internet problems like I do with mine, please get a new tablet because this is the worst one so far(If you don't have enough money thats fine)
Sigh... sort it out Lenovo. Always disconnecting, it's meant to be permanently on in the dock so I can see the latest news etc... seriously useless. And when are we getting the alexa drop in feature you promised us at the end of last year!?
Bluetooth keeps going on and off!! Absolutely rubbish... Can't connect on off on off for god's sake when are u going to listen to the reviews what a load of rubbish.. taking it back to the shop.. Doesn't deserve one star but can't put minuses on shame it would be -10000000
AD 1379 Smart Dock is rendered nearly useless, except as a charger. With the added bonus of trying to connect via Bluetooth and failing, trying to connect and failing, etc. I can no longer use Alexa, while docked. Occasionally, the Bluetooth will connect but now, Alexa will not respond to voice commands. As though it has muted the microphones. I used to like this setup, worked fine, until recently. I wish I could do a roll-back to the previous update!
