Hooray I can use this to hear!
Just installed this on my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 and found it disappointing. Wouldn't recognize more than 4-5 words, then stops and you have to start again. As is, it won't be much use in a group setting. I speak fluently so the speak mode will be of little use too. I'll give it another go-around or two before throwing in the towel or purchasing the pro version.
Need text displayed in real time as the person is speaking. Not when they Pause before next paragraph. Needs to be like cc for the deaf on tv.
Works fairly well, but it would be nice if you could edit the text when it "mis-hears". Sometimes has trouble with longer spoken sentences.
Won't miss any test questions now! At least won't have an excuse to answer incorrectly now.
Testado com um Honor Blue, falando em português. Reply to the reply: I tested it with Honor Blue, speaking in portuguese AND with the Portuguese language selected. The quality of the recognition is weak.
Great app you will love it
The app is great for free version :)
Rally excellent only missing calling tools but when I am selecting Hindi language message showing upgrade with pro version pl advice
Amazing i have a new grandmother by marriage and she is hard of hearing and ive been looking for along time to find something like this the only draw back is it took this long to find it thanks
Lousy graphs and shuts down
The feature I want it is whenever I get the call the app needs to be launched immediately then the vice of the person taking on the other side is translated. Hope that you will add this feature in the next update
Is there a way to translate from asl to text? Or just voice to text?
It is useful but taking long time to recognize sounds. Accent is fast on talk back. The main con.. Is internet connection.
I love it! It caught What My Dad said!
First of all, its not fully free when some features of the app requires a donation. Secondly, it has got the cheapest interface I have ever seen. Choppy performance as well. edit: Doc, may be you have to stick to your day job. Thanks for deleting your own review by the way :-) Way better similar apps are available, for "FREE"..
Does what I would want it to do and does it simply and easily.
Great work... I will surly recommended it to my patients..
wow wow nice i am deaf.. Use App. thank u
It can help me with school
Awsome ....This is really a great contribution ..... Really appreciate your effort
Simple and effective. Thank you. :)
Great app with multiple languages.
If you want to pay for it I am sure it is a great app, but when I downloaded I had it on my phone for 10 seconds and it closed itself twice. The free version only has listening and responding which is great if my phone didn't already do that. The guardian mode(vibs at loud background noise) would be useful but I think that is all I would get from this app. I hope it works out for other but for me it didn't work out.
Installed it. Did not have my language and would not advise which languages it has unless you get the paid version. So I tried to use it in English. Google talk said it cannot be reached, that the translator is not working, and the program crashed. So I guess there is more work to be done. Even a free version should work in order to convince the user to buy... and this Deafie was not convinced. My phones and tabletmare permanently connected to high speed internet.
The only problem is that it needs Internet connection for recognising voice... Rest is fine. Some mechanism must be developed for offline voice recognition. Thank you.
I was interested in this app after reading about it in the Hearing Loss Association of America magazine. However, with my Samsung Galaxy Core app is just a series of error messages. Good luck with it if you have another type of phone.
It's quite much helpful but not able to catch long conversation. It catches short conversation. Please! Make it fast to catch long conversations. And make it to work in offline mode because network is not available everywhere. In that case person may be in danger due to lack of conversation or sound. And second thing is it is not possible to afford data charges for poor people. For them money matters a lot. Somehow they can afford a phone but not possible to recharge netpack always.
