I knew nothing about configuring my printer, but I knew it supported PS, and its IP address. This was all I needed to have it printing in five seconds flat. This functionality should frankly be built in to Android, but then it would take up three times the storage so who's complaining? Thank you kindly!
Just an app I always wanted! A mobile app that can print to CUPS printer server, I do like to suggest so you can actually see the file you are about to print, like if I want to print an image actually show the image you know and maybe a bit better UI design, thanks for the app!
Best Android app for auto-finding, connecting, and printing to your wireless printer. Finally! An open-source, ad-free, free, and actually useful printer app! I have installed and tried over a dozen printer apps - while not having the prettiest UI, Let's Print Droid is by far the best!
I can manually add printer no problem and it prints the QR code fine. But... Auto add scan doesn't work and the Android framework doesn't see it. I can try and add a printer via framework using "Lets Print Droid" but it just runs the autoscan which fails to find. Anyway to add a correctly configured manual printer to the Android system for printing off chrome? (as example)
Works brilliantly in a business environment where the printers are generally capable (ie understand PCL or Postscript). In the home, it is more touch and go. GDI printers are common, which expect the client device to perform the rendering. In these cases you need to connect through an intermediate PC that has the proprietary printer drivers installed and performs the rendering. Good luck.
With Fedora Linux CUPS server it works only sometimes, one has to typically turn off+on the printer, otherwise the printer remains gray (like offline?) and one cannot print to it. Despite other Linux machine can print to the Linux CUPS server fine. Other Android app "CUPS Printing" by UpActivity prints fine without this "gray offline printer" problem.
Thanks for making printing from CUPS as easy as it should be :) Although - if i resize (eg: 2pages/sheet, etc) it seems to default to "letter" despite having set default to A4 in the settings.
Very useful app, but I have problem, my printer is pulsing (active, disconnect) only way to print is from this app, it have big minus i can't disable color ink.
Sharing works, printing just spools without success (RAW to a LAN PS printer). Terribly dated UI. Page size and color needs changing with every print job.
Looks great but doesn't allow entering an IPv6 address, though it seems to correctly use IPv6 using DNS. Two sided printing doesn't seem to work.
how this [cr]app got onto my GNote8 is a total mystery to me. only discovered it when it suddenly demanded access to external storage. H3LL N0 that. deleting!!!
I'm trying to get this to work with an ASUS router and an HP LaserJet M1319 MFP. Windows uses a class driver, so I don't know if this printer can read a PCL driver.
It successfully prints a test page when setting up the app but fails to print files or find printers via settings app > plugins
Prints great on a cheap deskjet, HP5550, but I can't found any settings to be able to rotate the print, aka landscape
the best app in the market, little more effort needed, about printers with no value in pdi field, printers for faster printing
Failed to save png file on SDCARD error, if no sd card installed does no work to print pdf files
Suprisingly, it just work lol... Using CUPS on my printer attached to NAS.
At least add some editing. Otherwise it prints fine.
Found my cups server and printers in like 2 seconds. Great app!
Please kindly add printer drivers for Canon Printer iP2770, iP1880 and Epson L220, L800. or ar least let us know how to add those printer drivers
allowed me to enter tplink print server ip address and actually printed thank you
Not able to print to SMB Network Shared Printer
This is the only app that found my ethernet-connected network printer.
Plz Make a printer server option to share usb printer via Android hotspot
Works when it wants to.
Java IO error countered in Android Pie using CUPS printer.
Thank you, for this awesome app!
Cannot connect to SMB printer.
I have a printer connected to an Asus router via USB. I've managed to print a test page from my phone (LPR protocol). But when I tried to print a .jpg image from the internal storage of my phone it failed and I got a socket exception "connection reset". I moved the .jpg to the SD card on the phone and it was printed successfully. Strange behaviour. Probably, it's related to file access permissions. May be not.
