Leveler
Leveler is a heavy-duty leveling app that has a suite of tools and features that can be used in any leveling situation!
For an explanation about the permissions required, read the section, "About Permissions", towards the bottom.
Leveler now features:

What is this "virtual level"? Virtual leveling is a mode of leveling that allows you to measure surfaces without placing your device on it! This is possible because the camera is able to virtually track the surface! To switch, press and hold anywhere on the main screen or press the menu key. This is a unique feature you will not find in any other leveling app!
To access a level's options, just hold and press (long press) a level's tab.About Permissions:Leveler requires 5 permissions:INTERNETACCESS_NETWORK_STATEREAD_PHONE_STATEACCESS_WIFI_STATECAMERAThe only app specific permission is the Camera which is needed for Angle Finder. The other four permissions are required for Qualcomm's "Vuforia" augmented reality technology utilized in this application. Data collected through these permissions is used by Qualcomm to improve their technologies. You will be prompted to agree to the terms and conditions set forth by Qualcomm. If you do not agree, then no information will be collected from you.

What exactly will we be purchasing?
Installed the app for fun and worked good. Hung a few things around the house perfectly. Did the update to 2.1.3 and now it won't load. Just freezes with black screen. Hopefully a re install will fix it Update: uninstalled and reinstalled but no change. App doesn't appear to work on jellybean 4.3 (app v 2.1.3)
On launching the app the screen goes black. *Uninstall*
I was putting up a small corner shelf and didn't have a leveler. Downloaded this and it worked perfectly!!!

Works great in the bubble mode, but this Samsung has not got a good back so we use something parallel for the reference plane/datum point. Good work. You did fix it! Adobe's gash player is a joke, and this format is very smooth, so if I had 6 you'd get them.
Worked fine the first time. Then it was off. Couldn't figure it out on how to calibrate it. Figured it out. Thanks. I change my rating from two, to three. But still don't know how to use the camera level with the level tabs, like advertised in the photos above. Give me tips on how to do that. And my rating will go up again.
I downloaded this last week just for fun. It was not that great then. Now that it has switch platforms it runs so fast and smooth. The tabs on top are amazing.
But why does a level app tool requires access to phone identity? Will not update coz of this request.
Simple, loads quickly, will calibrate quickly, incredibly useful settings and views. A perfect app for level installations.
Sorry I wanted this to work but keep getting force close on nexus one.
...which in turn requires full internet access. That won't do it for me.

Resource hog 50mb and climbing during use. Slow down and inaccurate after a few minutes usage

There's no menu to calibrate the level. Its totally useless. Droid X. Uninstalling. Lame!
