About Lexia Reading Core5: Designed as an essential component of every reading curriculum, Lexia Reading Core5 provides personalised learning for students of all abilities R-Y6, and delivers norm-referenced performance data without interrupting the flow of instruction to administer a test.Students are automatically placed at the appropriate level and work independently to develop their foundational reading skills. The program provides immediate corrective feedback and explicit instruction, supporting students when they struggle and advancing them to higher levels as they demonstrate proficiency. Students work in a structured, sequential manner with a focus on:
• Foundational reading skills to develop automaticity and fluency
• Listening and reading comprehension with complex text
• Academic and domain-specific vocabulary to improve comprehension
Each student follows a personalised learning path, with adaptive placement and pacing in activities designed to meet the most rigorous academic standards. Based on students’ work in the program, teachers receive data-driven action plans—unique to each student—that are simple to interpret and drive differentiated instruction. Within the first month of use, teachers will indicate each student's probability of meeting end-of-year, benchmarks, and will receive the recommended resources and intensity of instruction necessary to change the trajectory for at-risk students. Teachers can focus on instruction—without having to stop to administer a test—by using the program's norm-referenced, embedded assessment and progress monitoring.

Useless. Basically doesn't work on anything other than new ipads. I have an iphone, an older ipad, a laptop and various kindles and other tablets and it doesn't work on any of them. Have wasted too many hours of my life trying to download this as my son uses it in school, my advice is don't bother, life is too short, just read a book, i could have read approx 5000 real books in the time i've spent trying to download this thing.
The apps update has messed everything up with it ending up absolutely useless..worked a few month ago on my childs samsung tab A 2019 before update... and now it wont work after the update. What an absolute shambles... in a pandemic where kids have missed 5 months of education.. you would have thought the app makers should have had at least one brain cell.. it should have been kept as it was.
Doesn't distinguish between UK and US at download so wastes time and bandwidth. The US version works on our tablet but and of 'non UK' version. The UK version does NOT work! Lazy programming.
Poor. Would not accept login details. Debug information said it was due to app out of date. Updated it, so it wiped all user info. Stuck until we can contact the school.
Doesn't allow you to input teachers email address. We are using a new Samsung Tablet. This has not been updated since 2018.
My teacher told me to get this app but there's only one problem I DON'T HAVE A IPAD!!! You should fix this how are we kid's are supposed to learn if we can't use it so please fix this 🙁

Cant enter teacher's email!!! How is my child supposed to get on this app if she cant even enter any text into the email box! She cant use it on browser due to it not being compatible with tablets so she needs access to this app!
The app does not work on newer phones it needs an updated version considering the children are not at school at the moment and this app is used for some of there key learning its ridiculous

Very good,I also do it on the computer,I'm in year 6 and I'm level 15,I started in year4 so I have made a huge progress.
Its AMAZING I am only in year 2⃣ and I am already on level 17. started it in Reception. The levels are so fun. 🌝🌝🌝🌝🌝🌝🌝🌝🌝🌝🌝🌝🌝🌝🌝🌝🌝🌝🌝
It takes forever to install and when it finally downloads you can't even write the teacher's email!!!!!😡😡😡🤬

Unable to type the teacher email in to this app let's me put p.@ yet there is words been typed that are not showing up therefore can not log in

I like it because you get to learn from it a lot and it's a fun game.
We can't connect to Lexia 5 reading and only Lexia UK
Poor compatibility with Android products needing to be frequently restarted. Algorithms for the sight words section appears to be the Achilles heel and unfortunately lacks understanding of modern strategies to help children succeed. Forcing a child to simply repeat the spelling of a word over and over and over each time they make an error is punitive - a little like keeping a child in at break to finish work. If they don't learn it the third time they will not learn it by rote after the 100th time either. If it was not for Lexia being Hobson's choice offered by the school I, would not persevere teaching my child strategies to progress.There are much better fun apps that don't make children feel punished for trying to learn to read and spell.
