What is required to operate Alexa in your vehicle?
To access Alexa on your compatible Lexus vehicle, installation of Lexus Enform App Suite 2.0 and the Lexus+Alexa app on your compatible smartphone is required.

2018 LC, LS, RC, RC F, and 2019 NX* and RC F* – these vehicles are compatible with a Multimedia Enhancement available from your preferred Lexus Dealer
2019-2020 LC, LS, RC, RC F*, NX*, ES, and UX
* On the 2019 NX and RC F, the Multimedia Enhancement is available for vehicles produced before October 2018; vehicles produced from October 2018 are already compatible with Lexus+Alexa for Android phones

If this app didn't require that other HORRIBLE Enform app to work, then this one actually wouldn't be too bad. But with the Enform app constantly running in the background, eating up battery life, serving no real benefit at all except for this app, it makes THIS app not even worth it. It's too bad, because I was actually really looking forward to the Alexa integration.
Far too complicated to connect to the car, if it will even connect. Even after it connects there are times it will just disconnect for no apparent reason - it's not a loss of 4G signal, it's like the car suddenly cannot connect to my phone. Definitely expected more when purchasing a Lexus.
2021 RX450h Nav/Lux pkg, told I'm the first customer to try and use Alexa at this dealer and the dealer can't get things working. Dealer has been trying to get help from dealer support but that is not helping either. For a premium vehicle the technology seems questionable at best. I'm starting to wonder if other car brands have more refined technology I need to be looking at.
Most of the time it doesn't connect to my 2021 RX even tho bluetooth is connected. Sometimes if I turn bluetooth off and back on it will then connect. It's very disappointing and frustrating!!! I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Apparently there is no solution???
I was about to rate this app with 5 stars when I had my Google Pixel 2 XL but since I swapped to an iPhone 11 Pro Max basically nothing works. Turn the car off and on it might connect. Turn Bluetooth on phone off/on it might connect. If I can get it to connect and play a song via Pandora or Amazon at most I get one song before it stops and then won't play again. I really hope the app developers take this seriously and get it working for the iPhone 11 asap so I can update my review.
The app itself works rather flawlessly and is a blast to have. Unfortunately, as many have stated, it's tethered to the Enform app which isn't plug n play and connects when it wants to. The battery complaint isn't an issue since my phone is plugged into the usb.
In order to get connected to Alexa, I have to sign out and in of it and the Lexus Enform app each time I start my car. Once it is started, the Alexa app will abruptly stop playing music and performing other functions after 2-3 minutes.
I can't believe Lexus actually sent out an email advertising & encouraging this app... an app that doesn't work. The days I wasted trying to figure out how to connect this app.. finally it seemed to connect but only when I opened the Lexus app on my phone... how ridiculous. But even then Alexa is telling me she's having trouble connecting to the internet? I'd give this zero stars if I could
This app doesn't work. It doesn't connect connect to the auto 95% of the time. When it does connect, it usually freezes after a few minutes. It is probably the worst so I've used, ever.
Works for 20 seconds then stops. If I start the lexus app and sign in then launch alexa, it connects and works for about a minute or less. Then the phone loses connection with car and alexa quits. When this happens, the app with the blue circle and connection arrow to the car loses connection and doesn't restart. Android Samsung A51. Used to work a few months ago. 2019 NX300 Please help.
I ha e a 2021 RX350, purchased in June, I am having the same connectivity problems as described by other users. In 20 so attempts, it may connect once or twice. I have talked with Lexus tech support at the local dealer and the compamy support line. No one has an answer or workaround. This needs to be fixed, Lexus should stop advertising the feature if it does not work, the TV ads are laughable. I love my car but this is an aggravation. I believe I am going to drop my efforts.
Not reliable . It doesn't work all the time. Very disappointing. You would think anything associated with Lexus would be very reliable. Not the case for this app. Its useless.
If your drive is an hour or so, forget it, you cannot connect in one hour. This app keep trying to connect and when it does, it disconnect shortly.
BAD, never know if and when it will work. Even if it works, it drops out and disconnects at will. One star was as low as I could go. After being on the phone with them for a hour, they said take it to the dealer.
Most of the time the car doesn't recognize that the app is running and I have to turn off and on the BT ti fix it! It is very annoying!!
Car doesn't detect the app on my phone and the app says it is only compatible with cars 2018 or newer even though mine is a 22 model. Smh
It just does not work. Only connects half of the time and the times it does connect, it just says "menu" and does not respond. This is useless.
Completely inconsistent in connecting. Always need to reload app, reconnect and only works for that time the car is active
This app is pitiful. Simply doesn't work. Jan. 6.2022. Still pitiful. Hit and miss every time I try to use it. Why can't a big corporation figure this out.
Stopped connecting about a year ago and still doesn't work. Shame on them for charging to setup something that fails.
Lexus and Amazon should be ashamed to put out an app like this. It only work ten percent of the time. What a shame. This was a selling point for me when I bought my new car. This app deserves zero star
This app is very disappointing. It does not connect and doesnt work most of the time. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app but it's useless.
This is probably the worst app I've ever owned. I've removed it from my device and am using Android Auto. If it was possible to give 0 stars, I would.
Terrible app. The only way to connect is to manually deregister my phone bluetooth connection and then reconnect
Still doesn't work. Lexus you need to make the application run even when screen turned off. Not rocket science.
It's terrible and what does it do exactly? Why do I need this extra app? It think Lexus should work on integration a little harder.
Application does not work. Lexus Enform works fine, but Lexus+Alexa simply cannot start. No support from Lexus in troubleshooting.

This app is trash. I've tried on several occasions to pair it with my SUV. Doesn't work
This app mostly works pretty well. Too bad this flavor of Alexa is limited in what she can do (no texting, no dropping in on echos, no Spotify control, etc). Others have mentioned the fact that the Enform app must be running, which I agree is a shame since it randomly has connectivity issues with the car. I've found that if I use the app selector and swipe to close the Enform app after each trip, then 99% of the time it reconnects correctly the next time I'm in the car. Not a particularly good user experience, but it works. It seems Lexus/Toyota should stick to what they do well, building reliable cars, and leave the phone integration stuff to the guys who build phone technologies (Apple and Google). Hoping there is an update to get Android Auto on my 2019 NX !
