Works. Will alert you if your doors are unlocked, windows down, moonroof is open, hood open, doors etc. Takes <20 sec. to lock. Won't let you close windows remotely (for obvious safety reasons) BUT you are alerted within a few minutes of leaving your car. Locate car is a great feature if you're out of town or go to a sporting event and have no idea where the hell you parked. (google maps is integrated into the find car feature) Very easy to operate with large print and large buttons.
It is unreliable, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. When I called customer service, they told me to go into the settings on my phone, enform app then storage and clear the cache. That works, but then you have to sign back in, then request the start again. By this time, I just get in a cold car. It fixes the problem for that one time, it has to be repeated every time. I am very disappointed in Lexus for using this product in there vehicles that I have to pay for. Terrible product.
As much as you pay for the service (160ish a year) associated with the app, its horrible. It works properly maybe 25% of the time. And it says my car is on but I get into an ice box... Even though I make sure all heat is turned up and on when I get out previously. And then you can only start the car twice... sometimes less than that... idk where the issue is but dont waste your money.
The Lexus Enform app (multiple of them) is a hit or miss and takes about 20-60 seconds for auto-start or lock/unlock to execute. What's more messed up is how the subscription works. I gave it a try for 1 month in February and canceled the re-occurring subscription on the day of the renewal meaning I got charged for the 2nd month (March). You would expect that by canceling the subscription, you should still be able to use the Enform app until the end of the cycle/month (April) but when I called, one of the agents said since I canceled it already I will have to pay $16 again to have for the month of March to activate it?????? WHAT???? Basically, I paid for a service I never got to use and they want me to pay again to start it up AGAIN???? I don't know what kind of business model they are using but it sounds like they need to fix it.
My car starts about 20% of the time otherwise I get some random error that I need to be in a cellular area (I live in NYC it it doesn't get more cellular) or it says something else odd that isnt true. Just go back to a push button remote, i would NEVER pay for this, luckily it is free for now. I also want to mention that I was on hold for about 45 minutes with the app support team so that they could figure out what was wrong, after all is said and done they stated it was my car not the app.?!?
App and car are complete junk!!!!. Didn't work properly when it was free the first year. Didn't renew waited a year before subscribing again paid for an entire year and nothing improved ☹ Wait 5 days for them to rectify the issue and then finally called and requested a refund for their crappy service. All the money they charge for their cars and service, one would think they would fix the issues.
The process to activate took 5 days and over an hour worth of phone calls. The app only starts the car 50% of the time, the other times it says "processing error." App on my Samsung Galaxy usually crashes the first time I open it, works the 2nd time. You have to use a pin number to get into the app and to execute any commands. There are preferences to update that, but there is no save button to keep your preferences. Can stops running if you unlock it by hand or with the key fob.
I just leased a new Lexus and downloaded the remote app. The app works sometimes and mostly not to start my vehicle remotely. Now I get a letter telling me that the remote app is complimentary for only a year. I have come to expect that I can start my vehicle from the key fob or app without charge. I had a Lincoln before this & used the Lincoln app for almost 5 years without cost to me. I might add, the app performed flawlessly during that time. What gives, Lexus? Honestly, I expected better.
I'm on my free year trial, since day 1 I haven't been able to auto start my car. It always gives me an error and says to contact the dealer. I went in for service the other day and made it a point to bring it up. The associate said that I needed the black Lexus app and did not look further into the matter. I have both apps a neither one works to auto start my car.
Neat in theory but in reality the app often appears to be working but actually nothing happens at the vehicle level. Never been able to get the valet function to actually work. Even had say my car was in valet mode while I was driving it for an 800 mile trip to Key West!!! Not a chance in hell I will renew the subscription for this when renewal arrives.
this app and shortcut is so unreliable!!!! I waste more time trying to get it to work than I do going outside, starting my car and waiting for it to warm up! Don't waste your time or money with the remote start and this app. As of today, 12/11/18, there's an update.... I'll change my review is the update had improved the app.
This app used to work perfectly! In the least few months it has been awful! It hardly allows me to start my car. I usually have to try several times before it will work. It's extra annoying that I pay per year to have this service which doesn't work correctly.
This app is extremely outdated. It would be nice if the auto start kept the car running after opening my door, the car shuts off as soon as i access the car after starting it with the remote start option. inconvenient and it cant be good for the vehicle. UPDATE!
I got the app free as most of the other subscribers did when I purchased my vehicle in 2017. I was excited because I expected it to be ______ since this is a luxury vehicle. Sadly it was not. For starters I have had to voice train it several times only to have it say "please press talk...." Next I have never been able to use the locate your vehicle in a parking lot. It works great when I tryed it in my garage. But then the fob doesn't work well in a parking lot either. It took me an hour to
Frustrating to say the least. I scan the VIN - then it opens a web page for me to finish the process. After it shows that my car is registered.... When I close the app... And try again. It shows that no car is connected to my account!!!! Grrrr Tried and tried.... Same result.
Really inconsistent. I have to go through app restarts and rebooting my phone, sometimes, to get the app to work properly. I should never have to do that. When it works, its great. Just too inconsistent.
I love the convenience and the abilities but the app doesn't always work... needs to be rebooted frequently... says it's started the vehicle twice when it's been once... doesn't "reach" the vehicle... but again, the abilities are wonderful when it works!
Doesnt work. i created my account for BOTH apps (why there are two I don't know), the other one seems to work just fine. my wifes will turn on the car and mine just says call lexus. $53,000 for a luxury car and I can't auto start it start it with either app. my 13 ram starts up with no problem every time. perhaps more expensive isn't always better. these apps are a joke.
The app let's me know what's going on with my car whether I'm driving or its parked... if doors are unlocked and such. It remote starts the car, which is why I got it. Like many apps sometimes it has errors and cant perform my request because its stuck in a previous request though. Otherwise good!
Garbage, purchased the app spent 3 days with guest services troubleshooting it and with a "fixed it" at the end of each call. After the 7th call, I canceled and had to argue to get a full refund. Wasn't a pleasant experience at all. Remote start is the main reason I purchased the car, disappointed.
Too many times needed to log in with password. It should just be one time. Many times it fails and you have to restart. If car is started remotely, it turn off when you open door, which does not make sense. I wish windows were a part of app.
So... It has been 2 days since my payment was processed and removed from my account. My status still shows pending. Who ever approved this application should be fired. Worst application I've seen in a while. It would funny if it wasn't so sad. luckily I only did a monthly subscription to test the app. I'll be telling everyone about this experience for years.
I just went through the process for the lexus enform app and it works for me. Keep in mind its as good as the wireless reception in your area. I would call the the 800 number and have them set it up for you over the phone. And remember if you dont do the SOS step in the car it wont initialize. I can see from the app everrything about the status of my RX and I even did a search for the vehicle and it told me the RX is in the front yard, all doors locked, odometer information accurate etc.
Paid for the app and still not connecting to the car. Tech support says it takes up to 48 hours to activate. Still waiting... I would expect that the features we are payng for (that you can get for free with other vehicles) should work better and right away. Very disappointing Lexus.
When you spend so much money to purchase a car, the remote start function from your key fob should not require paying a yearly several hundred dollar charge. Yes, the app has other nice features that maybe are worth paying for, but not the remote start. It should be built in hardwired and not done by telemetry and satellite transmissions. How many people really need to start their car from halfway around the globe? And during the free trial period, the delays were very annoying.
