awsome works great. fyi cant use it while usb is plugged into phone. i was having trouble with enabeling usb tethering greyed out. reset phone. working great now.
Unit would not work until I pressed and held the Camera On/Off and Record keys for 5 seconds (see the 4th and 6th app screenshot on Google Play). Now the camera buttons work as they should.
I bought it two days ago, and it is not working. Maybe it needs an update for the app !!
LG turned outs it's back on this customer. Samsung looks like a good upgrade. Boo hiss! If you commit to your customers keep your promise!

The most important notice that LG forget to remind the consumer is to charge the device after taking it out of the box. It can be mistaken as defective if you use it for the first time and did not charge it. And the next second important thing is to allow the device to your USB plug. This handy add on works flawlessly as physical buttons for the camera and an added juice through its power bank-ish features.
I thought i had a defective LG Cam at first. The instruction manual is not well written. I finally figured out by trial and error that i had to charge the Cam device overnight while it was attached to the phone. The LED went from red to green in the morning and i was able to use the module. After it was charged i had to make sure the phone recognized the attachment. I will be candid, the only advantage i see with this cam module is the extra battery life.
I ran into similar issues issues installing. I have the 700 on a Verizon G5. I plugged in mod and checked for software updates in phone settings, there is an update. I found some tips on androidcentral that was a big help. Works great, makes the device twice the weight, but I think it will do well.
Before using the app you should charge the LG Cam Plus until the light turn green. Allow the app to access the usb device too.
After reading many reviews I figured I would be in for a headache. I did some research , followed the instructions and boom. I got a nice grip for my phone( I have big clumsy hands) , an add on battery 😄(for pokemon go), and some controls to make taking pictures easier. I got it included with my Fido upgrade.
The module should only charge the phone when phone is below 15%. If it charges everytime we press button then the phone battery will spoil if it is kept charging all the time even at 100%.
I installed all apps and restarted the phone numerous times. It keeps telling me the device is not attached. I see many have the same issue. LG should take it off the market and fix all this.
Won't recognize or detect that I have the LG Cam Plus attached no matter what I do.
I have tried every possible action I can think of including charging the module on the phone, off the phone, numerous restarts, installing and uninstalling the "cam plus manager" but I am still getting the message "USB device must be allowed before updating". Glad I did not pay the full retail for this!
The cam plus device isn't recognized. The app won't go beyond the first page. A pity for such a nice phone ((

Its great... you charge it while on the phone then download the app for it and it makes you set up the usb device. Adds about and hour or 2 of battery life. Stays at 100% for 8 hours while at work!😄
The cam plus module is very buggy and has a lot of charging issues
I actually love it. I got it for under 10 dollars and it works like a gem. It adds about an hour of extra battery time.
Garbage. Says plug in the device and guess what.. IT IS PLUGGED IN!
Should be able to set the battery to charge like the Moto battery mods. Poor implementation.
My cam-plus won't be recognized
Won't recognize the camplus anymore.
The device is garbage. It won't charge. The app is garbage it doesn't update. The entire package is garbage. Zero stars is my choice rip off is what I think. LG fix for this problem doesn't work either and is garbage as well.
