Doesnt open. Keeps recycling through the splashscreen, flips upside down, then doesn't allow you to type in a PIN. I uninstalled, cleared data, cleared cache. Nothing works. Completely useless app. Update: issue ended up being security keys were not included on my phone. LG switched my phone under warranty and now everything works as expected.

The app works just fine, swipe from the side of the screen when its locked - no problems. My main issue is, switching from Samsung Pay, really lacking PayPal support, because the amount of banks LG Pay supports is very small, so an extra-option to link your PayPal acc would be nice. I'm lucky having Chase, if not for that, would have to get an account with some other bank, and that would've been inconvenient

I was excited when I got the ability to use my LG G8 Thinq with Mag-stripe only machines, along with NFC compatible machines, and switched from Google Pay. Unfortunately I only got to use it once before and update started sending me daily advertisements. To make it worse, I can't uninstall the app or turn off notifications for the app, and when I attempt to launch the app (even in Safe Mode with data cleared) I get the pop-up: "Note There has been unusual activity. LG Pay will now close."

Most of the negative reviews have nothing to do with the functionality of the app and everything to do with banks not having signed up for the service yet. People, if you want your bank to sign up for LG Pay, you have to ask the bank. LG can't brute force support. The app itself works insanely well and I haven't had any issues yet. I enjoy the pull tab on the home screen to get my card to show. Adding cards / loyalty programs was easy enough, and it honestly doesn't work much differently from Samsung Pay. A good, simple process and the WMC (MST) support lets me use it on non NFC terminals. It works great, people just need to bug their banks about adding LG Pay support.

Scam used to stall your information. App doesn't show up on phone operating system and cannot be uninstalled. It's acting as a second operating system taking over your phone. Notify the police if you can but I'm unable to make calls to EMS or 911 Services

Unacceptable bloatware. Not only is it not compatible with my bank/card, it has just placed an add on my phone by way of a notification!!!!! Whats more, they made it so you arent allowed to turn off its adds on your phone. I have bought a few LG's in a row and now have a V60, but if LG have SO LITTLE RESPECT FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS, I may have to reevaluate. Uninstallable ads pushed to your phone are classified as a virus.

I would have given it 5 stars until now. Yes, the app works well for me (Chase Visa cards) except at gas stations where the field can't penetrate deep enough to work. Same problem on other similar apps. However, it just started daily pop up ads for LG products. The notifications cannot be disabled. The app also cannot be disabled from running in the background. If the ads are not soon removed, I will uninstall it forcibly. This is pathetically low, LG.

It works pretty well and at most stores, the only real issue I find is if I leave the app open like a gift card for instance where it displays and I try to switch to my payment card it seems slow and freezes up. Also the display it looks okay but I like the previous screen display instead of having this big icon and diagram to reference on how to use. Though it is nice that does block people from looking at the card directy if their trying to look over your shoulder.

I was really enjoying this pay app till about a week ago when the app repeated crashed whenever it tried to log me in. A support email to LG has yet to be returned so until the issue is resolved this will remain as a 1 star. Before then it was very easy to use and I really enjoyed having the ability to use the traditional magnetic swipe machines and get around some of these retailers that refuse to install tap and pay systems so that they can track your purchases.

Oh, where do I start? Okay, I'll keep this simple: in order to fix a problem with my account, they wanted to reset my phone to factory. Not the app, my phone. It would have been possible to uninstall the app and reinstall it instead, except it came pre-installed and I couldn't uninstall it. Which they did. It's an LG phone. They did that. Customer service people were very nice and patient with me, but the app itself is garbage.

I never used this app, it just came on my phone with no ability to uninstall nor disable. The least LG can do now that it's discontinued is fix it so it can be disabled, or better yet let us uninstall this waste of disk space that's taking up precious resources.

Point and pay through the NFC works just like apple and Google pay, and works with little issues. The mag swipe works every 1/10 or 1/20 times. Definitely, not as refined or easy to use like Samsung pay for the mag swipe feature. The amount of banks supported is very low, most of my banks are not supported, though you can add gift cards to this app which can be convenient

Not a viable alternative if there are no supported banks or cards. Don't like that with the Android 10 update this was installed as bloat-ware that can't even be frozen/disabled. Very disappointing that such poor apps like this and LG Health are turned out by a major player like LG. There are some novel ideas like magnetic stripe reader comparability.

I really like LG pay and use it instead of Android pay because it also works on terminals without NFC. I use this feature a lot and it works perfectly every time. I just really wish they would do it like Google pay and let you use it anytime without having to swipe from the side and put in your fingerprint. I understand this for non-nfc payments but at least add support for NFC payments without having to fiddle with this quick pay thing they've implemented. I also hope they can support Keybank.

I really wanted to like it. LG pay was my go to form of payment when I didnt/couldn't take my cards with me. After the third time in six months that I get stuck scrambling at checkout because the app screwed up. Not to mention that I could never log into my online account, even after spending endless hours with LG customer service. Yeah, I'm done. Moving to Google Pay.

I didn't ask for this app. It is bloatware that comes installed with Android version 10. There is no way to uninstall it or even clear it's data. It cannot even be disabled. I don't want software like this. This is very typical of LG and Google type apps. I won't update it, or allow it to have any internet permissions.

A. G. u. Mar 13, 2020

Wanted to try out this app and see how it works, went through the first video, tried linking my account and after I linked my account. The app just closes, saying there is unusual activity on my phone. Will keep saying that after un-installing and re-installing several times.

Updated review: Great customer service! Had an issue that ended up being a phone/T-Mobile issue, but the LG customer service team was great! Quick communication and their troubleshooting were actually the tools that helped us figure out that the problem was on the sim card/carrier side. Thank you for your help, LG Support!

The app overall looks slick and runs fast. Samsung dropped their MST and LG picked up the ball thankfully. Works great at locations that don't support NFC, which in the USA is still a lot. The only thing I have to complain about is that I wish we could remove the promotions banner in the PayQuick window. Also, bank support is still lacking 2 years later. Seeing how LG is talking about selling their mobile division, idk if we'll see more, but I like it so far.

roa. Feb 16, 2021

So I noticed my battery draining like crazy last couple of days and finally checked it out and this app used 26% of my total battery with 0 screen time??? Clearly something is wrong, I haven't used it in probably 6 months but it's a great app otherwise, hoping support can reach out to me.

A. G. u. Jan 12, 2020

This app makes my notification sound off every 30 seconds. If its on silent the screen lights up. I deleted it last night and the problem went away. Its back again today and so are the problems. Auto update is now turned off for everything. So annoying

Hea. C. Sep 26, 2020

I was excited to use LG Pay instead of Google Pay, for the same reasons others have listed. I was disappointed to find out that none of the 4 banks I use are supported, so it does me no good. To make matters worse, the toggle buttons to shut the Quick Pay prompt off were completely grayed out, all locked "on." I can't uninstall it, either. So I took away all its permissions and silenced it. I'm annoyed I had to do that; I should at least be able to turn notifications off completely.

App has not worked for months, every time it is opened it gives a "network unavailable" message and refuses to do anything else, regardless of location or network/wifi status. Completely broken. Emails to LG support have gone unanswered.

Amb. U. Aug 8, 2020

Waste of my time and energy. I have an LG V35 Thinq and Chase bank and it was all set up to go. Tried at multiple locations in my town and was declined. Either the app does not work properly or the app does not work. My card has plenty of money on it. Waste of my time. LG has good products but horrible apps.

Vic. M. Jul 17, 2020

Unable to enter info to setup app. Did absolutely nothing after entering name, address, etc. Cleared data and restarted phone. Now I only get a network unavailable error, despite being online with both Wi-Fi AND carrier data. Pathetic, LG. Update 7.17.20: On a whim, tried to run the app again. Get an alert saying "There has been unusual activity. LG Pay will now close." Solidifies my opinion that this app is terrible and should not be bothered with. I use G-Pay, FB Messenger money send, and PayPal on my phone with no issues. Life's [NOT] Good when your app is shi~.

Dav. Feb 6, 2021

Installed on LG V40, Verizon. Opened app, went through registration, tried several times to get verification email sent to comcast account and never got email. Used gmail and got verification right away. Completed registration and now app tells me connection failed. Uninstalled app and will continue to use my cards in hand.

Good. I just wished that Lg pay is accepted to make a lyft ride or ordering food online. Lg phones are just one of those device where you end up stangely. It is pretty cool. I get cool features. Like who needs alot of megapixels. I get the best hifi sounds a nice more than enough camera. Great microphone. Why not integrate lg app like 'lg pay' to other apps? That would be cool. Imagine LG but the 'G' is a google logo. A collab.

Sal. L. May 22, 2020

I installed this app for the first time, but after choosing to log in with my Google account, the app endlessly loads but never actually logs in. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, deleted app data, tried logging in with LG account but nothing works. This app needs an update to even be functional.

π. Feb 4, 2021

Bloatware. Never even launched the app as I use cash and never use anything else. Can't be uninstalled or disabled without rooting device. No wonder apps have inflated download #'s. This is a prime example. Why don't manufacturers listen to there customer base when we say we don't want apps pre installed. If it wasn't for us you wouldn't be in the cellphone hardware market.

Kit. C. Dec 13, 2020

Sadly, none of my cards work with this. So it makes the app not all that useful. Also annoying is that the app can NOT be uninstalled, making it bloatware. *Edit was to fix a typo
