[Service overview]LG TV SmartShare-webOS lets you to enjoy video, music or photo on your smartphone from your LG Smart+ TV(webOS).※ The service is available regardless of whether you have the Tag On sticker (The sticker may not be on some models depending on the release date per country).
[How to use]1. Connect your smartphone on the same Wi-Fi network as the TV.2. Select and play the file from the LG TV SmartShare-webOS application.3. Tab "Share" icon on the top right of image viewer or media player, then select the TV to view the file on to play it on the TV of your choice.
[Caution]
- Both the smartphone and TV must be on the same wireless network.
- Miracast is supported by the smartphone models from LG Electronics only and is available from the LG Smart TV(webOS) application.
- Supported media formats are as following:■ Image : JPEG, PNG, BMP■ Music : MP3■ Video clip
- Video codec : DivX6, XViD(except 3 warp-point GMC), MPEG-4
- Audio codec : MPEG-1 Layer II, MPEG-1 Layer III (MP3), AAC■ Subtitle : SMI

Needs updates - many times my computer doesn't even show up on the list of devices and I have to restart it multiple times to get the tv to detect it. Also the connection is not very stable across all formats. Sometimes the video just quits. Windows 7, pls update it as it's actually a brilliant TV.
Its the fourth LG TV app I've tried. All of them have failed to connect to my telly. LG needs to clarify and sort out their mobile apps - what works, how it works, and what doesn't. It's a mess.
Bad. "An error occurred" message is given all the time. This is between an LG G4 and an LG TV. If LG can't get this to work between their own devices then what's the point. Can't give more than 1 star for something that simply doesn't work.
Poor navigation when connected. Buffering issues even for 1 min videos. Need to select each content individually and navigation and controls are painfully inconvenient for videos and photos.
Complete waste of time phone shows up on. My TV it's on the same network but cannot connect absolute crap uninstalling

My galaxy s7 should be able to connect. Wait it only works for LG phones. You need to fix that problem.
After seeing all the 1* reviews I was hesitant to install this app. All I can say is that the 1* reviews are a lie and these people must be a bit dim. Works 100% on my s8+ to LG smart tv with webOS
It is actually a great app! I think some people don't know how to fully use it. You don't kneed to open the app on your TV! All you need to do is connect your TV to the same WiFi you have on your phone and then pick the video you want to put onto your TV and then you click the three buttons in the top corner on the app on your phone. It would come up with 'searching for devices' and then it will come up with your TV. I use this for movies, however one problem I have with this app is that after about 40 mins the app cuts off and I have to pit the movie back on and skip up to where I left off. Great app tho!
Can even control tv volume from phone. You don't have to be in the same room for the functions to work.

Someone actually gets paid to create this rubbish. NO steaming TV app actually works properly. IT'S ALL A CON.
So you refer people to the LG TV plus app. But that is discontinued 2/28/17. This goes well with my three defective LG g4s and Nexus 5x.
I think not apps a compatible, you just have to find the one that works for you
Most useless app I have ever used. and I am very disappointed with LG, I love LG all my systems at home from TV to Hi-Fi to foam roll LG, this app is absolutely useless.😡😫🙅👎
This app is awesome it works on my Nexus 9 and since it doesn't have miracast it is nice. I don't know why they would terminate this app.
My tv is able to find my phone but my phone can't find My TV. & wen I click on my phone icon on tv it says unknown error.
This app doesn't do what it states. It pretty much waste of time and space
Just installing this app cause my G2 to have freeze up and touch screen issues. Plus rapid battery drain. And that's without the app being open or running.
Works fine. Unfortunately the lg tv does not support my samsung s6 videos.... "file type not supported" pretty stupid seeing as i can play most other file types streaming from pc to tv.
Not compatible with nor included on my new LG Tribute 2. Disappointing. :(

Cannot change the view to list/details so I cannot be sure what episode I am sending.
Loved this app please don't terminate. Just bought LG tv this was the only application I was able to stream from. Leaves no other option but to sell tv and switch brands
Loaded app on Samsung Note 4. Fired up TV and was instantly watching pics from my phone. Amazing!
the app you recommendd only supports tvs bought after 2014. I only had mine less than a year and find out it is a 2013 model . unfair
Works perfect when you read about how to use it come all u rocket scientists u have the retard knowledge to make this work come on my iq is 75 and I can use it fine ok I program but still not hard look at ur tv what do u. Need to do activate mircast, connect tv to phone not phone to tv. Only works one way, easy u will be fine I'm not support
