Awful app!!! I hate this app! Whenever I make an attempt to reserve any of the bikes, it writes me "Please try another bike". I have tried to reinstall the app, re-register my payment information from Credit card to EC card. But nothing was changed. I cannot use this app!!! I had a necessity to this app, because it has a backsit for children. Each time when my sun is tired I come to the bike, try to reserve it and it doesn't work! It doesn't write any other explanation. I hate this App!!!
Impossible user unfriendly bordering theft that you can pay the 3euro yearly cost, and top up 10euro and still when trying to unlock any Lidl bike in Berlin the app just replies try again a few minutes later.... I tires and hired a Mobike without problems... After reading several onestar reviews of the app I understand it might work on Monday... Cool cause by them I'll be in Copenhagen 13euros poorer!
Bike rental does not work, getting a "action not possible" message with a suggestion to try later. Tried one hour later only to come across the same problem! 😒
I was literally scammed by Lidl Bike. Today I walked near 2 kms and scanned around 10 bikes and I couldn't use any of them. When introducing the code an error message appeared asking me to try later. BAD Bad
Can't even sign in. Typing in the login field is simply not working. Can't quite believe it.
not worth one star. one of the shittiest apps and services i have ever used (or tried to use since it never worked) I will NEVER try it again no matter how late i was
One bike wasn't there at all, I looked everywhere, run 500 meters to another two, both not working!!! Can I give ziro stars?

bad UX for registration
Sometimes I have problems with my credit card and need to update the details in the website. Then I need to wait until the next Monday so that Lidl will charge my card and take the money away. Which means I can't use the app until then... Very bad user experience
They silently charge you 10€ extra for crossing the Ringbahn without any notification. On the secod day of using the service I discovered -45€ on my account. You need to try very hard to find this 10€ fee on their website.
First bike I tried to rent and walked to was not there. Tried to report but that's a pain due to illogical app UI. The whole setup with display and pin is unnecessary complicated. German over engineering. I had to choose between annual plans. I just wanted to ride the bike. Also unnecessary complicated and not user friendly. You guys should go back to your whiteboard and create a user centric ecosystem not a business centric one.
Most of the bikes are broken either physically or the software/ locking system doesn't work. Every day I have to check 2-3 bikes before finding a working one to rent!! Its a cheap service, but there is absolutely no quality control for these bikes. Spend your money somewhere else!
57€ for 2 bikes X 6 hours! This app and service is misleading in rental costs and overall a terrible rental experience! You wont recieve any messages or email responses to help requests in english, and the setup is unreasonably complicated. I downloaded the app, created an account including entering payment information, paid the 3€ contract fee, waited for over half an hour before receiving the 'instant' confirmation code, and all the app would tell me when I entered a bike number was that the bike was unavailable. Tried approximately 20 bikes all with the same response. Thinking I may have to prepay for use I paid for 10€ of credit... still received the same error code. Thinking there may be another delay I tried again 6 hours later. Still the same 'bike is unavailable' error message every time. After wasting over an hour of my day I decided to write an email saying if this wasn't resolved/refunded I would follow up with Mastercard's fraud department. I received an automated email in German, followed by a response email the next day (also in German) answering my questions and informing me that I had to register on the website as well as app before renting. Funny how it had no trouble taking my money before I did this (also the English app or German text said nothing of this website requirement). Finally able to rent we took 2 bikes around the city. Had a fun 5-6 hours checking out the Topography of Terror and Tempelhof airport and then returned them to a station. Final result? I was charged an additional 44€ (on top of the prepaid 12€ credit for 10€) and a 3€ registration fee. Should have just rented the 12€ per 24 hours offered by the hotel, but the misleading info made lidl-bike seem so much more convenient and affordable. I strongly recommend avoiding this company!
I use it on a regular basis in Berlin and it works fine!
Very complicated set-up. Waited for 30 mins for activation sms that never arrived, and I think I have been charged 15 euros for the inconvenience. Will now have to spend more time and money to call them to arrange a refund. Don't waste your time and money on this. Choose another provider. Mobike is excellent.
No helpful error message when payment method expires. Had to write to support. No way to change payment data in the app.
After regiatration I paid the 3€ fee but I never received the final email to activate the account. I tried to contact them 3 times in a month without ever receiving a reply.
Works when i need it
Cant create my account. Trying for 20mins the page doesnt load!!
App works great (to a certain extend, not letting you know that even thought you locked the bike it didn't stop charging you). Also, they are now charging me hundreds of euros because they said I didn't lock the bike when I clearly locked the damn red thing
Nobody can even login into your stupid app!
All in all the service is good. The app could work a little better. + The bikes are good quality and in 3 months I only had one time when I could not find a bike (use it daily). + I can foget about repairing puntures, worrying about bike getting stolen... - The report damage button stopped working about two months ago and bug has still not been repaired. - Everything has to be done via email or phone. Even account activation after payment! - Leaving bikes out of the ring is not possible.
