I have great appreciation for this kind of storytelling. Especially, when the players can make a REAL difference by their choices and way to handle, or bypass, issues! Still, at least the demo version had minor control issues and was a bit clumsy. Download size is still big for mobile (1.09GB), and the pricing... That age of high income classes IS over.

I liked playing the first one so had to check it out. Did see some pretty obvious and some funny issues. For real one bug in the game was funny as hell. David's face is all F***ed up and mouth doesn't move properly made me laugh so hard. Otherwise selecting objects to interact is kinda difficult and the game shuts itself off randomly sometimes in the middle of something so I gotta open the game again. Otherwise Im liking it as a game. The randomly shutting off is the reason for 3 star.

This app was highly recommended and had good reviews, so, I purchased prior to playing. I have yet to complete the first 'chapter' due to the controls being so hard to use. I get frustrated with having to try and retry to get somwhere or do something I just gave up and uninstalled. Wish this was an actual point and click. Story looks interesting but I just cant play it. Ive adjusted the sensitivity with no luck. Id love to come back to this and actually be able to play

I enjoyed playing this game on consoles, so I was stoked to have a mobile version I can take wherever I go. I docked it two stars because firstly, I really dislike how you move around in this. Not only does it not always go where I want it to, but when I'm trying to interact with something it will register that as me wanting to move around... The camera turning is really slow as well. I'm more of a fan of snappy controls and this touch were you want to go isn't all that precise... Another thing that bothers me is some of the rendering will put really bright white pixelated outlines around characters and objects when they don't belong there. But that's a small gripe that I can get past. I like how the controls can be modified for an on-screen controller in the first LIS, it would be great if that can be done with this game. Then I'll give it a 5 :)

First off, the game is addicting and has characters you will absolutely fall in love with and want more of. Max x Rachel x Chloe crossover, please! Edit: Most of the following issues are resolved or at least improved after episode 1. On the downside, the controls in this one are definitely much harder to use than they were in the original life is strange. In the original, everything was very fluid, and this one you have to tap and drag a million times to turn in any direction, and God help you if you get stuck in a corner, you will be there forever! And while you are getting stuck everywhere, the characters will be yelling at you, because they like to remind you way more often than necessary ( and way more often than in the original) of what they want you to be doing. The character movement is also more choppy than it was in the original, and there is some sort of issue with the graphics where at some points and some angles you will see white lines where are the different planes separate on the character. Interacting with objects is also harder now, you have to be a very specific angles for them to activate, even if you can see their menu beforehand. All of these things together are making for extremely frustrating gameplay after just coming off of the original game.

Terrible controls! I wouldn't be able to keep my sanity playing through this game with these controls. Graphics are also pretty bad I get you have to support lower end phones but please make it configurable. Right now it's completely void of any post processing effects, shadows and the texture quality is really bad. On the other hand, models and animations are great.

So it's not that the game is bad (only did demo) . I loved the first life is strange. And I did the touch screen controls but this version is almost unplayable because you don't really have control in a way that is specific. Touching one thing but character walks pass it. Because this game is so contingent on your movements not being able to have full control is frustrating. If this is fixed it would be great to continue with the game

I really enjoyed playing Life is Strange so I got excited when I found this. I really enjoy playing this game as well. The controls are okay once you adjust to them. My game crashed once during the first episode. Now I'm in the middle of the third episode and I can't get past the one part. It keeps crashing after the one scene. I tried 3 or 4 times and it still crashes. PLEASE fix this issue! I would really like to finish the game. I will keep trying but if it keeps crashing I will be VERY disappointed. I will have to see about getting my money back.

After getting used to the controls I have to say these games are the best I've ever played on a phone. Really interactive, excellent storyline, overall just a really well put together game. my only issue is dialogue between Chloe and David in the beginning when he takes her to school. His face is distorted during the entire interaction between the two of them. I deleted and redownload the episode, and waited for it to fully download so I know that isn't the problem. Otherwise it's perfect.

I really enjoyed the original "life is strange" but this offshoot is riddled with problems. The latest happened today when my saved game became corrupted, and I was forced to start at the beginning of episode 1. I was already on episode 2, so you can imagine that replaying episode 1 would just be tedious. Also the virtual joysticks of the original game were much better for controlling the character, so please put them i to this game. (also, also... let me skip cut scenes that I've already seen, let cutscenes finish before going to a black screen, and remove the white outline around characters.)

Pretty good game, but not as emotionally impactful as the first. I prefer the virtual touchpad to move the character as opposed to the screen tap, and at times it was difficult to get the menu to appear without accidentally taking screenshots. One thing is certain though, if you release the follow up games in this series in Android format, I would buy them in an instant!

First off, I love this game. If you want a beautifully told, believable story which will genuinely make you want to cry, get this... on PC. This is unplayable. There is no video feed. I get audio, but no video, just a black screen in-game. The overlay shows up and i can access all the menus. When I return to the main menu i am greeted with a flashing pixcelated mess. The overlay of the logo is fine.

Review of demo:demo is not in working condition, during gameplay it has crashed five times. Controls are okay, but need to be tweaked a bit. One of the big issues is if you tap on an item she won't walk to that item, she will walk to the other side of the room instead. Journal entries need a zoom feature. Graphics are gorgeous, but game settings need an option to downgrade for performance. There is a lot of detail and I think that's why it's crashing so much.❤LIS:BTS on pc, it's one of my favs.

I really wanted to like the mobile port, but the tap to move was the first big turn off. Also, the pixel lines that segment people's heads from their body is really funky. Please add the joystick and the ability to change the camera sensitivity. Update: Also, the notifications are so unnecessary. I'll play the game at my own pace.

Dea. M. F. Feb 8, 2020

Great game, unfortunately lacking support, the controls need work, to either add in other types of controls like in the first game, or just make point to move, as it's very easy to miss the look or action key and then sending Chloe somewhere you didn't want he to go. Can be very frustrating. Also some camera work needs fixing, earliest example being first scene where the camera is inside an object. Has potential to be just as good of a port as the first one, if given even a bit of love from devs

I actually was really looking forward to playing this after playing the first game. Unfortunately, after the playing the demo for this mobile port, I have two dealbreaking comaints. First, the controls are awful. They are slow, laggy, and only support tap to move. It makes a game so focused on exploration feel more like a chore than an experience. Second, the graphics; especially the white lines around the borders of ALL of the NPCs take me out of the immersion. If fixed, I will happy buy.

Actually, this is a good game, I've played the first LiS and enjoyed it. I've played the demo for 30 minutes, didn't like it at all. "Tap to move" control is really bad and I can't adjust the sensitivity for the camera. These things make me difficult to interact with the environment, considering this is a 'story-interact' game, please update the control to analog, so players can control Chloe easily. Won't purchase 'till the control changed. :v Hehe.

Had my save get corrupted twice now. At the start of episode 2 & 3. Don't feel like playing through it a third time just to finish my first playthrough; forget ever playing again just to try different choices! I've wasted many hours already trying. Save yourself some cash and watch a YouTube playthrough. This game is more rough than the original with graphical bugs even on high end devices, and the controls being awful it it awkward walking around objects several times trying to interact with them.

So basically, when I tried playing the game there were these weird glitches that started happening on my phone and green lines started to appear and static. Then when I pressed episodes and tried the demo, quite literally there it was again the green lines were there and a black screen, I couldn't play or see anything. I was really disappointed because I was looking forward to this game.

I love the storyline. I played the original Life Is Strange with zero issues, so I purchased this one without hesitation. I am currently very frustrated though. I got almost to the end of episode 2 when it said something about a corrupt file and made me re-download and replay from the very beginning of episode 1. I now can't get past the part in the mill when Chloe is upstairs and the 2 dudes show up. It just freezes on me, then makes me keep replaying that part. I feel like I wasted my money.

I loved playing the first LiS game and was really excited when I found out they had this one for Android. I bought it without knowing about the glitches. It keeps glitching horribly bad and even made my tablet restart at one point. The controls are also really annoying, you no logger have a toggle to move around, you now have to tap a spot to walk there. I don't know why the developers decided to go with that, but they did. Anyway, I would say get this for PC I've been told that's the way to go.

You are truly master story weavers. It was perfect! I really can't think of anything other than that to say. I don't know what people are taking about with game crashes and controls, perhaps their phones aren't much cop or they just don't know how to use mobile games properly, (probably the latter) as I'm using an old Galaxy S5 and it works perfectly with no crashes and the controls are spot on. Well worth the price, very cheap for the experience you are getting.

Nag. K. S. Feb 23, 2022

I've played the game before on game systems and the game play and story is overall really good. The only problem is the mobile game. I was looking forward to playing this episode but it was a total fail. The game was super glitchy, it wouldn't wouldn't even play parts of the episode, and it was really hard to guide the character through the maps. I honestly would recommend playing on pc or game system rather than mobile.

Hi there. I am a huge fan of the Life is Strange series and decided I wanted to give this a whirl. Just a slight issue: It doesn't work. At all. Whenever I try and actually play, there is just a black blank screen. I can pause and access the main menu and journal, but I can't see anything to even begin to even play and experience the game. Until this gets fixed. Don't bother to download.

I played the first game and really loved it and wanted more. So I got this one with no hesitation thinking it was going to be just as good. I like the storyline, but it's definitely not like the first. This one has no control options, it's only tap to walk and it is really hard and frustrating to use. It also doesn't have sensitivity settings which gets annoying to me. This one is $12 for all episodes, but it should definitely be cheaper than the first which was only $9 for all. Please fix it...

I might just have an issue. Game loads to the main screen, but after tapping anywhere, it tells me it can't connect to the internet, and then gives me the option to either sit there, or quit the app. Running on s9, with no VPN, or ad blocker running while using the app, thinking that might be the problem, but it didn't fix anything.

Ali. B. M. Feb 15, 2022

I was about to purchase all the episodes but thank god i started the demo. I loved the previous game but the lack of control options was a deal breaker. Walking is point and click, no option for traditional movement controls, which the previous game offered. Uninstalled within the hour. Sad to not being able to play a great game

Wil. J. Oct 18, 2018

I love the Life is Strange series but this game was not meant for mobile. The controls don't work and you'd be hard pressed to find a lot of devices capable of processing it without a lot of framerate issues. Save yourself the hassle and buy this on one of the other 3 platforms it exists on.

A. G. u. Oct 13, 2018

How can develop/company make a sequel/prequel (depends how you look at it) and fail miserably on the controls. LIS first game was more tollerable with controls, as you had virtual joysticks.... This game hasn't. It's pain to move around, and select interaction objects. Notification is intrusive and should be opt-in not opt-out. While im at it, I suggest to support key bindings for smartphone controllers!!! Not gonna pay for this game until they already have basic functions added.
