After the first week I have experienced zeror problems connecting to my hearing aides, setup was easy and straightforward. I understand keeping the settings fairly simple however it would be nice for those who choose to have more "advanced" settings where have more frequency control and such. (Edit) Loss of what little personalization the app had in the programs is very sad, instead of improving the app, took 10 steps backwards in my opinion, would like more not less personalization options.

I haven't been able to wear my Core heating aids because of too much wax buildup. I just recently got an optical ear pick that allows me to see into my ear canal and can clear the wax. This has made an extraordinary difference in wearing the HAs. The app allows me to adjust volume and program. I suggest you get an association with Axel Glade. I'm sure there are more people like me who would benefit from it. Elimination of settings which allowed for direction control, noise cancelation/ suppressi

Works good, you have 4 programs with adjustments in equization, noise reduction and sound direction. Volume control for each ear and battery health. The battery indicator uses colors which colorblind people can't see, so that's a small problem. If I could make one suggestion it would be the ability to rename the programs.

I like the app. It's very easy to use. I like being able to control the volume from the app. I also like being able to change the program from the app. Since I'm already an experienced hearing aid wearer, the setup process for the hearing aids was very easy to use. The personal profile part is nice so that I can show people where my hearing loss is in each year. I suggest five scales instead of just low medium and high. The tutorial video for cleaning the hearing aids is extremely helpful.

The app is easy to use. I like that volume control is separate from program mode. The customization is right on for my hearing needs.

What is going on with this app, stuck on the can't find or connect page, and van not get off of it, haven't had any issues until now

Quick accurate test using tones only. Does not include intelligibility test (with background noise) and does not include calibration for your headphones.

It has more options for surroundings than the Air model does, and is easily adjustable on the app. Experience has shown it doesn't always pick up each ear on the first or second try while connecting, many times going to resetting the connection. The ear inserts are more compatible with my ear canals with the slight curve to them. All in all, a very good product.

The upgrade to this version did not retain my profile or any of my previous surveys. It required me to start over as if I was a new user. Poor user experience. The app itself is marginal in that it doesnt remember your preferred program or volume settings wich you have to reset everyday when you turn the hearing aids on. Very annoying.

When I try to use this app to change volume or program it takes a long time to retrieve data and often fails once or more because it cannot find either left or right aid. Then I have to remove one or both aids to open battery door and reclose and then try again and often two or three times. Not satisfactory unless this can be corrected.

It worked for me after I figured out you have to hold your tongue against the inside of your left cheek while standing on one (right) leg with both arms straight out to the side. I finally got my devices paired and my custom hearing profile programmed into the hearing aids before the app went bonkers. The devices seem to have retained the profile permanently, so far. I guess it works about as good as one could expect for such inexpensive devices which, themselves, work great. The app needs work.

It no longer has the settings icon on the dashboard. I'd like to have it back on there.

App is very user-friendly and gives me complete control of settings and adjustments, very happy with total package

Needs major update. Would not connect with Android 11. I called and was referred to tech support via email. They sent "screen copy" of instructions with mostly common solutions--uninstall, restart device, etc. Which accomplished nothing. Tried Android 10 and still major problems. Pulled out older device with Android 8 and it worked like a charm. Other than screen shot, absolutly no response/help from tech support--they never even tried to see what problem was. Very disappointing.

They work great. Mobile phone controls are easy and accurate. What's not to like? And much cheaper than others out there.

Hearing aids frequently disconnect from my phone however this app does come in handy! Update 9/25/19: I've been wearing my LifeEar core aids for a month now. Much less disconnection issues. I really appreciate having this app with my aids! 7-23-21... I wasn't able to connect to the app for about 10 months with my last pair of hearing aids so I just dealt with it until they both started dropping in volume. I just got my new pair. Won't connect either. Going with another brand next time.

Good concepts but improvements needed 1. Connection issues.. getting worst 2. Volume adjusting down randomly. 3 program is loss. Then a number appears where program icon was. What does this number mean. 4. Emailed support. Said they needed more info. If I had more info I would have sent it. 5. When all the above happens the hearing aids are telling me something. I dont know what because I cant hear. Why not have option for notifications on phone. The maybe I can give suppor more info

The app at times doesn't detect the left Aid even after changing batteries. I have to open and shut the battery door and then it will detect. Often it has to pair.

Update 11/13/20 - v2.1.5 - 2nd defective device replaced. App fails to connect to device. 2x new MDH batteries with 3 minute charge up. After 5 failed connects w 2 minutes between attempts, finally connects while on phone with tech support. - I now have to recalibrate BOTH devices, pack, label & insure ANOTHER defective device. I pay $15/mo for warranty and have to return AND INSURE on my dime $22 - Wish I'd gone to CostCo!!! - Update 9/10/20 - App fails to find Right aid. Swap batteries between devices and both connect. Battery level indicator ALWAYS shows Pea Green [Yellow in the manual] on both devices. Replaced batteries. App never shows anything but Pea Green until app won't connect. App might show Green for a few seconds with new batteries if the app is started within a few seconds after the battery door is closed. Without both devices connected, app is useless as it will not move past the connection screen. App version claims 2.1.4 but is more like 0.0.214 Phone app is difficult to adjust levels. "Sliders" jump and give annoying "Maximum Threshold Reached" message. HI has the most effect. MID and LOW, much less. Adjustability is fair. It takes a bit of futzing with EQ, Noise Reduction and Direction to achieve results. Aids annoyingly reset to Min and Program 1 if batteries are disconnected. Level adjustment could say L1, L2, etc. rather than just beep for levels 2 plus. Programs state Program 1, Program 2. Updated after 3 go-rounds: App is usable to configure and set various program functions. Completed the test on both devices, created profile. When I open app, no profile and it wants me to start over from scratch. The inability to remember devices is a pain. Having to depower one hearing aid so it can find the other is a joke in today's connected world. Really terrible application flow. Adjusting profile after completion based on age and gender makes no sense.

Nice to be able to program and adjust my hearing aids with this app, but it frequently loses connection with with one hearing aid or the other. In order to fix this, you have to open and close the battery door on that aid. This is annoying.

With all the masks, glasses, and the hearing aids during COVID, one of my hearing aid adjustment buttons BROKE! It's Christmas season. I can't live without it. Fortunately, I had already downloaded the app. With the app I can control the aid without the controller. WAAAAHOOOO!

The app exceeded my expectations, but was difficult to pair with the CORE hearing aids. I've worn hearing aids & amplifiers before & bought the CORE aids for the personalization features. The app gives you an audiology test & then adjusts the CORE aids to properly amplify the tones & pitches you can't hear well. It was as good of a test as I've had from audiologists. You can further tune the aids from the settings made by the app, such as sound direction, treble, base & noise cancellation.

Lost 1 hearing aid , used the find hearing aid part. It worked, it must have fallen out & onto my print bedspread. You could not see it but it registered it was there, I felt where it said it was, & found it. What a wonderful feature!!

App wont recognize left hearing aide even with new battery and doing a cover reset. Have to delete app and reload ( which ive done 5 times) for left aid to be recognized. This is first step in setting up profile. This means setting up a new profile each time you reload the app -after 5 reloads, i just skip doing this.

Jul. B. Feb 11, 2021

This app is quite detailed and easy to use. It also has an option to have a audiologist help with any difficulty your having I do wish the instructions were a little more clear on the advanced settings.

Update - I've now been using this app for 3 years and find it is easy to use. The problems I was having I solved. Love these hearing aids. Just started to use this app for my hearing aids. It is easy to use but still having issues with volume.

Pas. A. T. G. L. C. Jan 14, 2021

Love it. Very easy to use. Contains 4 preset programs that are set according to your hearing test set up. Later you can manually adjust these settings. Great app for MD Hearing.

I am having problems with the application saving my preferences for The Equalizer. Furthermore, I cannot access the full range of each total region. The app will not let me.
