The first one was amazing, but this one is much less so. With the first one i feel emotionally attached to Taylor and would think about them through the day while waiting for them to wake up, walk, etc. But with this sequel everything feels rushed, the conversation options aren't as immersive/real, and the story is just lacking.
The sequel isn't as good as the original. There is too much action and it is very fast-paced which gives the player little time to comprehend the situation which isn't the same as the original. There is also little suspense as the waiting period is only a few minutes. The storyline is also a little bugged as the sequence of events can get jumbled up which may distrupt the flow of the story. Still it is a nice follow up to the original and it is quite immersive. Overall it is good, but a little bit of a let down.
Not as good as the first. Pacing is very fast and there is no suspense because it's just go go go. Less accessible to blind players as the first because it's not easy to tell who is speaking unless you can see the text colour. I wouldn't really bother playing this unless you're really invested.
Well... Its just an straight path, you actually cannot decide and if you dont take the exact correct decisions you have to start again. The first one felt more dynamic and free. This one even asumes things that you suposedly have done on the first game that probsbly you didn't and feel forced. Only play it if you really miss the connection you felt for Taylor on the first game but its not going to make you feel the same.
Actually felt connection to the main protagonist after two games. The story picks up rapidly as well so that's pretty cool. Other than that it didn't feel any different from the other CYOA games. Still loads of fun, though.
This is BY FAR one of the best games I've ever played!! Such an engaging story with so many plot twists! Loved it from beginning to end, can't stop talking about it to every friend I have <3
idk i just feel like... i mean it's short but his character feels more alive in this one than the first one? maybe it's because the author canoned it to be kinda like taylor thinking "we're friends now" with the player. it's nice, even if there are some things i wish i could know more about the other characters
very good game but a bit short. love how the story goes though ! would recommend but still pretty short for a paid game.
This was such a great game! I looked forward to every message from Taylor. I'm glad he found the beauty in chaos.
really great story live this game and all of the others to but i wish the was on option to have someone read it to you like a nartor
Outstanding storytelling. I like the first one more, but I am a fan of this series until the end.
Love it. Clever. Funny. Suspenseful. I've played this one twice now, and loved all the others they've made too.
here is the thing, it doesn't start with the ending you get from the first one, for me, captain aya turned into zombie in the first one but she is in a life support pod in this one
This is an evolutionary step up from an already good game in lifeline. Buy it.
Another good lifeline game. Pretty short, mind...
Good story, great narrative, definitely 5 stars for these one!
Thrilling story just a pleasure to read..
Really cool game. My hearts were with Taylor.
This sequal is amazing. Good continuation to the original game
I love your games, you are awesome
It's a story with a difference. Well worth the money
just as good as the first
Excellent follow up text game to the original lifeline. You do feel somewhat immersed and considering the limited room the writer had to develop relationships, this is excellent and I'd recommend it at the money. Don't play it on fast forward, you'll lose the background emotions and the story is not as good. Well done, it looks like I'll be buying more of these.
This sequel lacks much of the original game's immersive feel. Taylor spends a lot of time frantically running for safety with alien zombie marines a few steps behind, but always has time for puns and pop culture references. It makes the story harder to get in to. It also has a few continuity errors. It isn't uncommon for Taylor to talk about something that you haven't seen in the story. It's nice to revisit Taylor, but this story feels abrupt and rushed. Other entries in the series are much stronger.
I liked it. In some ways it's better than the first one in that there's alot more content. However, unlike the first one where the pauses were timed well enough to create suspense, the sequel has too many uneccessary gaps. I mean a 5 minute pause because Taylor is trying not to cry is just too much. I know that the author was trying to evoke the readers' emotions but it annoyed me instead. And there's many other moments like that as well that was just vexing.
AMAZING GAME, I actually played this game a long time ago, and i play it again. BUT STILL GODDAMN FUN. i dont know why, but somehow this game is very touching. AND im totally in love with Taylor. He's a good man. I MEAN THE BEST MAN. HA. Im sorry hahaa. But thankyou, like truly, thankyou, Three Minute Games for making this game and the other lifeline games. I love being the part of this Lifeline :'D
The problem I have with this game has nothing to do with its writing, which is still great. Structurally, a CYOA works much better if you don't have to backtrack so far that the story's momentum is thrown off. This has way more failstates than the first game, and the checkpoints and Fast Mode aren't fast enough to get you back where you want to be in the story. You end up rereading certain text too many times, without clear enough clues as to what you missed early or what you need to change.
