Light Alarm Clock

Does what I wanted/expected, and it was the only app that did of several that I tried. I wish you could set the duration/timeout to less than 5 min though. I use it to remind myself to go to bed if I'm up too late on my phone. If I'm already asleep (notifications are to easy to ignore), I don't want an alarm or anything going off so this works great. It takes over the whole screen and you have to actively dismiss it.

if the alarm goes off its really doing what it should and it wakes me up gently usually before the music even turns on. i love that you can choose a colour and your own songs. But! the alarm doesnt always set. sometimes i need to set an alarm 5 times until it actually saves. if you have an alarm and just try to change the time it wont save, typing the numbers in usually doesnt work, i need to scroll. and for some reason it sometimes sets itself for the next day and not for today/now.

It works, it woke me up so gently the first time I used it and I was very satisfied. The problem came when I hit snooze when the sound alarm went off, the light turned off as well. I only wanted to snooze the sound and keep the light on but that wasn't possible. I was also disappointed to not have an option to only have the light alarm without any sound. Besides that, it took up space in my notifications bar just stating that there was an alarm set, and I couldn't dismiss it.

Even better than my expensive daylight alarm clock. The app features are fantastic, love the ability to set different times for the light, pre-alarm and and alarm sounds. Love that I can choose the light colour and choose what takes priority if the battery is running low. And I wake naturally and feeling refreshed, not terrified by a loud alarm!

I wanted an app I could use as an "OK to get up" timer for my toddlers, but without an alarm sound. I was able to set the light timer and turn off the sound and it works perfectly for them. Now if I can just get them to actually stay in bed until it turns on...

Im not one to rate & comment for apps but this one has been so helpful! I've had a lot of trouble waking up in the morning and with this app the combo of screen light, flashlight, and sound is working for me. It's also got "pre alarm" features that help so much.

Great when it works...the music comes on but the light doesn't work when the phone (Galaxy Note9) is charging or if the screen has timed out, which at night is most of the time. Not sure how to get this to actually make use of the increasing light function reliably.

I really like this alarm. I recently got a new phone and had to install this app on my new phone, but then I no longer had a chirping bird wake-up option. So I downloaded a chirping bird clip and used it as a sound selection to fix that. It's been a good reliable alarm.

Price is significantly less than lighted alarm clocks online, and works exactly the same as some of the more expensive clocks. The music plays after the light is at full brightness. So, even if the brightness doesn't wake you, the music comes on. I do recommend having it on your bedside table near you, but it will light up a small bedroom really well. This app has been the answer to my years of difficultly waking up happily.

When the screen is closed, as it is every night, the light effect isn't showing because the screen remains closed. When I open the alarm notification it shows the light gradually as should but it doesn't show on it's own when screen is locked

It's very seldom that I come across an exceptional app! This one is well designed, visually pleasing, super easy to use and extremely well thought out. Definitely five stars!

Smooth wake but overtime somehow it took over 2.5GB of internal storage over time... .. Not sure what it was storing. Had to empty the data which meant I had to redo all the alarm settings

IT WORKS! How am I 24 years old and never knew about this until now? This is the best wake up I have had in a long time. Usually my wake ups are groggy and abrupt with my alarm and I am shocked awake out of a dream. This alarm woke me up out of a dream, but it was gradual and it worked like it was supposed to! I woke up and was able to get out of bed right away. No grogginess, no snooze button. 10/10 would recommend!! If you have trouble waking up it's worth a shot to try this!

App works fairly well. I like the light to wake gradually. Twice it failed to go off because the prompt to rate was on the screen, so I gave 4 stars. The prompt came up again, still same verson, so 3 stars now. Keep asking, I'll keep taking away a star.

Love this app. Makes my mornings so much brighter 😄 One minor issue: the outline of the clock doesn't line up with the white clock font, so it looks like I'm seeing double. But the alarm functions work great. Thanks!

Great App that gently wakes me up each morning with gradually increasing music and light; a natural way to wake up vs. being jolted from a deep sleep by a standard alarm. I actually go about my day with less fatigue now. Kudos to the developer!

This app doesn't work - The flash doesn't come on and the alarm sounds but freezes the phone and won't turn off until the phone is restarted. Not what you need at 6am! Not worth the effort.

Unreliable. Many times the alarm sounds does not play. Sometimes I wake up ten or twenty minutes after the scheduled time and see that the alarm screen is visible, but no sound is coming out so I didn't wake up on time.

Edit: Wow, this dude is on the ball with updates. Thanks! The app is nice and simple and totally customisable again. Will update again once I've had a few mornings of trying it out. Edit 2: The light turned on as expected yesterday and the day before but didn't this morning. I have no idea why, nothing changed :/

It started of great but now doesn't light up. It's possible I have the settings wrong and it's not overriding things to come on. It just does the sound. In the winter I need the light to help me wake up

Almost perfect for a free app! The only thing, that could be better: a wider range than 60 minutes for the waking via light. Everything else: thumbs up :)

No gradual waking up was happening, only normal alarm. And put some instructions on the screen, cause I tried everything to turn that thing off, but have no idea what did that in the end...

This alarm is great, I especially like how you can set your screen to come on first and get brighter and brighter in any color. Pretty often it's all I need to wake up.

This app has a lot of very useful features, but it's quite ugly, if it were made more simple and aesthetic, it would be far better. The logo especially needs a redesign.

Light Alarm does exactly what I needed. Slowly light up over a set period of time before the buzz buzz.

I love this app!! Its just loud enough to wake me up. So easy! Its the app was looking for. And I tried alot of them. Easy to turn off and best of all no annoying loud noise. Thanks guys.

Easy to use, and really helpful in waking up without stress. Ads aren't invasive, and all the features I need are available

No longer works on S10, alas. I'll really miss the "skip next run" feature.

Wow. Finally found a great app that does what it promises... very easy to use. I love waking up to soft light rather than loud alarm noises. Thank you!
