I had a diffraction grating, laser, and light ready, however inside the app there was no camera preview and no instructions. I tried pressing the camera button and nothing happened. I also tried checking and pressing pretty much everything and never really got it to do anything. If this app works it really needs help with the UI.
The idea is there. unfortunately, cellphone camera has an IR filter that rendered the measurement useless. may be a kit or diy box with a modified webcam + grating filter connected thru OTG might help. Florencent light as calibration base is accurate, simple and cheap way.
Doesnt recognize flourecent lights but needs to be calibrated to flourecent lights. I calibrated it to the winter sun coming through my blinds. Not sure it gives an accurate reading in that case but it wont work otherwuse. :/
Garbage. Would even see a florescent light to calibrate it. And froze up after not seeing a light. Had to close app from back ground.
Update the "point at a gas lamp" to point at light source. That way it's not confused with calibrate.
There is no control over the automatic features of the camera (Such as contrast), making analysis inaccurate.
It works only with fluorescent lamp. When I find it out towards other lamps it doesn't work.
White line on spectrograph impossible to read. Axis need to be adjustable.
Flourescent light not found all the time. What color and wattage flourescent light?
No fluorescent light found during calibration. Note10+
It just crashes after 2 seconds
cant use this app without a fluorescent light
Very insightful, thank you!
It works fine with LG G5
Needs to point on several light sources for calibration like fluorescent light, gas lamp... I stopped at gas lamp, Where will I get gas lamp in this age.
PITA to use. Does not show what area of the screen its using to calculate spectra. Will not back out of program. Kind of neat when you actually capture something, but very inaccurate since it doesn't show you where it's measuring from. While it does function a lot of work needs to be put into usability and the UI.
