Our human eye adapts fast to different light situations. If it get used to "bright" or "dark" it is hard for us to define the absolute light intensity.
Light influences our well-being. This happens slowly and unknowingly. The adaptiveness of our human eye makes it difficult for us to evaluate the light intensity and thus, to influence our well-being by light.
The Light Companion as light meter helps you to improve this.

This the the BEST light meter for the android. As a lighting professional, I've tried several.
Planing my workshop and the lighting require. Never though a light meter would make such a difference in picking out the proper lighting!

Doesn't work on Samsung j3
Nice. Use in my greenhouse to compare grow lights. It's relative but useful.
Easy to understand and gives the reading quickly.
Helpful in that it measures both lux and ft candles

Doesn't work on a Samsung 2gs. Email and texting support from within app has no address or number either so you can contact anyone. Tried removing and reinstalling app and confirmed my camera is working fine, still only ever get an error read of ". /."

Well with moto x. Was almost exactly what my calibrated light meter displayed.
File size was far too large, which wouldn't be a problem if it had an option to transfer to the SD card, but it doesn't. App didn't want to work on my phone anyway.
simple and ad free app with a minimalistic interface. recommended.
