MUSIC VISUALIZER: The app listens to your music and changes the effects based on the mood of the song. Lights get active during intense parts of a song and flowy with softer melodies and magically change colors at just the right moment, or customize your own.
ACTIVE EFFECTS: Choose from one of four active light effects that match your mood: Splotches, Fireworks, Pulses, and Flashes. Active Effects trigger during louder parts of a song.
MELLOW EFFECTS: Set your lights to swirl, wave, or softly strobe during quieter parts of a song. You can also disable the mellow effect to create a pure active music visualizer.
AUTOMATIC COLOR CHANGES: Choose up to 3 colors for your light show, or let the app decide when to change the color theme of the lights using advanced music detection algorithms.
VOLUME TRIGGER: Adjust the Volume Trigger to control the amount of effects you’ll see.
MICROPHONE INPUT: The app uses your device’s built-in microphone so that it will work with any audio source.
LIGHT GROUPS & ORDERING: Your lights, your way. Include only the lights you want to use. Assign your lights an order to create lighting effects that rival custom-built installations.
RUNS IN THE BACKGROUND: Light DJ works while your screen is off and while using other apps. You can quickly turn off the light from the drop-down notification.

The Light DJ Visualizer is designed for up to 6 bulbs with the latest firmware. The app will support more bulbs, however performance may be impacted as more lights are added. LIFX systems can typically support many more bulbs without affecting performance. If you have questions on a specific use, email me and I can provide guidance.

Bought it since it seemed decent but the tutorials the developer posted on his YT don't match with the app UI. No active effects on the visualizer makes this kinda useless for most people who just want to set and forget.
Maybe a 3 star. If it had a way to stop it from running. I have to open app manner and force stop it to make lights stop.
The app often times has trouble connecting to all my lifx lights, even when the lifx app is working fine. Also it doesn't really go with the music that well. Hopefully it will get better.
Brilliant. Could be a little clearer whether it's better to buy the deluxe app or use the in app purchases on the demo.. Also think £5 would be a better price.. But overall perfect.
Random color scheme doesn't work. It always stops, changes to 1 color. Doesn't sync with the music that great. Clunky interface and performance it shouldnt be 7.99
It's the best of its kind but one minor issue with transition from active to mellow it will stop playing the mellow effects after a extent of active time and requires a stop and start to get going again.
Do not mention Google Now, she will get defensive. Works well and has a good understanding of commands. A few features I wish it had are Google Now integration, the ability to strobe lights, and the ability to set a random color. The last 2 should be pretty easy to implement. There is a weird feature if you ask her to set the color to black, it sets the background of the app to black and dims the lights. Interesting. EDIT: There is a problem where if you tell her to stop listening, she turns off all lights.
Forever it seemed there was no proper music visualizers available for the Android/LIFX combination. At last Light DJ came to Android. I'd came upon Light DJ before and was blown away. At the time it was only available for Mac OS and iOS. Now the basic functionality has been brought to Android and it is just what I'd been looking for. The four included effects and ten colour options allow you to create a captivating light show. The visualizer engine is super intelligent. It adapts and looks great regardless of the number of lights you have. It's relatively responsive with under a second of delay when you clap your hands. Of course it synchronizes to the beat of the music when music is playing so the delay is eliminated. I have zero complaints and only support and suggestions. It'd be great to see a custom colour options, the ability to add more than three defined colours to the show, and a white light temperature option. I hope the iOS features make there way over as well.
The background functionality does not work. Stops working as soon as I exit app or turn screen off... This is for paid version...
Loses bulbs and the only way to get them back is to uninstall and reinstall app again. Getting a bit fed up with it. Don't understand why you can't just do a rescan without having to uninstall and reinstall every time.
Love the app so far. Would like to see a bit more features available like the iOS option. More material design or updated look would also be nice. Other than that I'd recommend it.
I used this app on Apple phone and it's hands down the world best DJ app for lifx bulbs which I use but for android platform it's a no go, I blindly trusted and payed without even trying a demo for this app and it turns out total disappointment.
No connection for lifx lights. So hard to rate good
The application won't detect my lifx bulbs. I've done the power resrt and even the hard reset but they will not show up in the application. Edit - thank you. I'll wait for the update edit 2. I received the update. Everything is working!! Great app!

Why doesn't this have the same amount of features to the Apple version. When are we going to get the same features on Android?
The app only picked up all 5 of my lights on the initial setup. Never did again, even after reinstall. Can't find the bulbs most of the time. Seems like it would be good if it stayed connected. This was with Lifx bulbs
can't believe I just spent $80 on this.. everything this app has I get for free on the phillips hue app and I also have the hue play box. assuming no refunds??? if u have a setup like me I wouldn't get this app
